Yoo’s Authentic Martial Arts is the première martial arts studio in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Since 1976, Grandmaster Jun Saeng Yoo has taught and trained thousands in Taekwondo, Hapkido, and Kung Fu at his studio in Alexandria, Virginia.

Our facility is over 6,000 sq.ft. with 2 separate studios equipped with multiple heavy and standing bags. We have separate men’s & women’s locker rooms with showers in each.

We offer the best in children & adult programs. Our programs provide you with excellent technical martial arts training and superior physical fitness, as well as invaluable tools for success in life. Grandmaster Yoo’s unique and effective system is a product of years of developing and refining techniques, as well as teaching methods.

History

Established in 1976.

Grandmaster Yoo began learning martial arts at the age 6 in Seoul, South Korea. He now holds a 9^th Degree Black Belt in Hap Ki Do and was the former president of the Korean HapKiDo Kuk Sool Won Association; he holds a 9^th Degree Black Sash in Kung Fu and is s President of the Tong Long Kung Fu Association; he is a certified 8^th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do from the World TaeKwonDo Federation (WTF) and is a former U.S. National Team Head Coach.

Since 1976, Grandmaster Yoo has produced 26 U.S. National champions, over 120 U.S. Junior Olympic champions, and over 400 Virginia State champions. Several of his students have been members of the U.S. National Team and competed in prestigious international tournaments such as the World Cup and World Championships. In 2008, one of his students was an alternate on the U.S. Olympic Team that competed in Beijing, China.

Grandmaster Yoo continues to teach every class and is devoted to providing you with a REAL martial arts experience.
