This its the worst doctor i have ever seen! I recommend to stay away! Will not listen to the patient or the symptoms. If I could give no stars, I would

I am giving them one star because the doctors are awesome.
Doctor — very friendly, great bedside manner — 5 stars
Billing — worthy of a negative 10.
Reason– received a bill for $ 135 for «medicine» received in Urgent care. The medicine in question was a Tagamet. Tagamet costs $ 5 for 30 pills. The fact that they have an agreement with Blue Cross to charge an infinite mark up on medicine is disgusting, is the definition of gauging and should be illegal. The bill, in its entirety, was over $ 500, and that was after my insurance was applied. I understand that urgent care and ER visits are costly, but this is ridiculous. I was there for 17 minutes. Doctor came in, I told her my issue, she said that I had stomach flu and to rest. That was it. $ 500 for 17 min is more than $ 2500 an hour…
Front desk check in — horrible. Clerk spent more time arguing with me than checking me in. Negative 5 stars.
Now let’s get to «patient advocate/​customer service» person, Elizabeth Mendoza, that I was referred to when I called to inquire as to an explanation for the price gauging. She. Is. Horrible. Awful. Rude. Enjoys hearing herself talk. She told me that the billing is what it is and «pay it or don’t and go to collections, we don’t negotiate». Mind you, I only asked for a breakdown, and that was the «great customer service» I received. So Elizabeth Mendoza, Advocate Sherman, gets a negative 5 stars.
Customer service– since Elizabeth Mendoza was so obnoxious, I called and asked for a hospital administrator, the person that answered the phone asked me for what, I explained I needed a detailed billing breakdown, which is my right by the way, she told me that «everyone is busy with patients, call back Monday».
Wait. What?
Long story short, stay away, far away. They are horrible and price gauge, as defined.

Wonderful. We had to rush here after the neglectful Dr. Ravanam at 7 Hills Healthcare in East Dundee refused to examine or even touch my boyfriend. Here he was seen, treated, and given prescriptions right away. With the lack of quality doctors in this area, I think we’ll be coming back here.

I went New Year’s Day. I was seen quickly they staff and doctor were very friendly. The doctor didn’t run any unnecessary tests. My husband was here a few days earlier and also had a pleasant experience,

Once again, they succeeded in disappointing me. My husband had a tooth infection and the dentist was closed and he needed antibiotics. We came here with our son and upon the doctor seeing my husband in his blue collar work clothes, he assumed he was only there for painkillers. We were treated like junkies and scolded by the doctor like it was an after-​school special. I am appalled that they have employees like this. They haven’t heard the last of me.

The staff were very friendly and patient. Nurses knew what they were doing as far as taking blood and knowing what they were doing. The only reason I give 4 stars is because of how long we waited in the room until someone came to actually start treating…

Wow, harsh reviews so far. While I have no experience with the Immediate Care portion of this doctor’s office, both my husband & I have been here for medical attention by the fabulous Dr. Wayne Carlson. I will only speak for myself, however.
While I normally shy away from the doctor’s office unless I’m on the verge of losing a limb or bleeding out, I decided (after dealing with a sore wrist/​thumb for over a week) that I should probably bite the bullet and find a family doctor around our new home (and by «new» I mean that we’ve been here for almost 2 years and have never found a doctor). After doing the responsible thing & checking out doctors on our insurance page (and then tirelessly reading reviews about their care & bedside manner), I finally settled on Dr. Carlson.
I called the office & the receptionist that I spoke to was super helpful. I mentioned my symptoms in as much detail as I could & then also said that I am 22 weeks pregnant. She stopped me & suggested I call my OB to get the all clear to see a general practitioner before making the appointment (oh the things a first time mom has no clue about). So I took her advice, got the ok & called right back. I was able to get in to see the doctor the same day, which kind of shocked me. Usually doctors are booked solid for at least as long as it takes for me to feel better (and then feel like I wasted my money seeing them in the first place). Plus 1 for Sherman, indeed.
The facility itself is very clean & still seems new (not sure when it was built). They offer an immediate care facility as well as physical therapy & doctor services (maybe other stuff too, but this is all I’m familiar with so far), sort of a one stop shop for medical needs (unless you need to go to the ER, that is).
Everyone that I spoke with from the receptionist who checked me in and gave me a few papers to fill out to the nurse who checked my vitals to the doctor himself made me feel very welcome and comforted. The doctor checked me out, diagnosed me & then gave me some treatment options that weren’t too scary or institutional (paraffin baths for De Quervain’s sounded WAY better than a cortisone shot, which even he said wasn’t a fun option). Dr. Carlson kept it light, joking about the size of the needle for a cortisone shot & reassured me that even HE (who also has De Quervain’s from an old trucking accident when he was in the Arctic Circle) opted out of that shot in favor of splinting and paraffin baths. I was in & out in less than 30 mins & I never felt rushed or pushed into something that I didn’t want.
Most people don’t love going to see the doctor, but I sure am glad that I found an office that I don’t mind going to. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get checked out a little more regularly instead of sucking it up and hoping that my limbs don’t fall off first.
