Blue Moon Events is dedicated to providing creative and affordable event planning services to create modern events with classic flair.

Whether working on an intimate wedding for 25 or a black-​tie ball for 250, we have the experience and industry know-​how to bring your big picture ideas from concept to reality. Creating realistic budgets, negotiating fair contracts, drafting spot-​on schedules – these are the behind-​the-​scenes tricks of the trade we’ve learned after planning events for more than 15 years.

We love to make do with a little and turn it into something worthy of 10 times your budget. It is our passion and we thrive on finding creative solutions to ensure your event is just what you want. And while we are serious about the details that make up an event, we’re also committed to making the process fun! We strive to make sure you walk into your event with a bounce in your step and a smile on your face.

Amazing, incredible, are just a few words to describe Blue Moon Events! Jenny and Jeff make an outstanding team! We wanted to plan our son & daughter-in-law’s wedding & reception ourselves but found the process overwhelming & time consuming. We hired Blue Moon Events for the «day of the wedding» events and are so glad we did.
Jenny immediately stepped in and developed a blueprint for each event with specific details & timing. She had creative ideas on how to simplify, manage and enhance their wedding day — from organizing the bridal party’s hair & makeup, getting everyone to the church on time, coordinating the ceremony, & managing the reception venue. Jenny & Jeff were onsite from early morning until late at night managing the events!
As with any event, there were a few «glitches» — they discretely & effectively resolved each issue. All of their pre-​planning and «day of the wedding» coordination allowed us to truly treasure our special day! We highly recommend Blue Moon Events and will definitely hire them for our next event!

Blue moon events is AMAZING! I cannot say enough great things about Jenny and her husband Jeff. We really LOVED working with them. She’s thoughtful, creative, a great listener, helpful and a wonderful person. From the moment I met Jenny I knew I was in good hands and didn’t have to worry about my big day. This proved to be true right off the bat when she showed off her skills by removing the mascara my grandson had gotten on the train of my wedding dress upon her arrival at the hotel where we were getting ready! She listened every step of the way, offered suggestions where appropriate, was super organized and so very creative. She and her husband Jeff make a great team! They go above and beyond to ensure your wedding day is a smooth stress free affair. Sound impossible? IT ISN’T IMPOSSIBLE — Do yourself a favor and hire Blue Moon events for your wedding!

If you are having an event — specifically a wedding — anywhere within the Chicago-​land area we highly recommend Blue Moon Events. You will be sure to have a stress free and wonderful experience! We have worked with Jenny and Jeff twice and are great to work with! As a DJ company (
) we provide our clients access to a timeline and planning form, but Blue Moon goes above and beyond providing everyone a very detailed blue print for the special day. You will be sure not to go wrong with how helpful it was to not only us but to every vendor and client!
They were very professional, courteous, and very organized! If you hire Jenny and Jeff I promise you will not be let down and you will actually get to enjoy your special day instead of stressing over it.

Jenny was a HUGE help at our wedding. We had a non-​traditional ceremony that a friend of ours officiated. None of us knew what we were doing and Jenny did a great job of organizing us and making things happen at the last minute. She was calm, organized, and enthusiastic about the big day. Jenny has a great sense of humor and is a joy to be around especially when events get stressful. Her husband was great the day of as well. My partner and I don’t live in Chicago so finding a venue was tough from afar. Jenny gathered lots of information on the venues for us and also visited sites with us when we came to visit. I would recommend Blue Moon Events to anyone who has something big they are planning and could benefit from professional help.

Jenny is the cat’s meow. She and her husband were godsends on our wedding day and in the stressful weeks leading up to it. We hired them as day-​of-​coordinators, but they went above and beyond! Typically when you hire a day-​of-​coordinator, you get a limited number of hours of service. Not so with Jenny. She was there all day (and night) to help make our wedding day seamless and smooth sailing – from helping set up and tear down our reception to jumping in when things did not go as expected. We met with her in person and she was available by email and phone leading up to our wedding as well to troubleshoot any issues. She was there to handle it all! I realized just 2 hours before our ceremony that I had forgotten my earrings at my apartment. Without hesitating, Jenny’s husband came to the hotel where I was getting ready to grab my keys and retrieve the earrings from my apartment. We were so impressed with the level of care and professionalism Jenny had in helping us prepare the timeline for the big day, and carried it out to the T. Blue Moon Events was also the least expensive of the day-​of-​coordinators we considered. We would hire them again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Jenny and co!
