Quality Werks Collision Center

Haven’t had work done there for many years but when we did, first job was to repair front end. The paint job started to bubble, crack and peel after about 9 months. When I finally got the car back in to have it looked at as part of the warranty, I was told initially that all the bubbles/​dings were from rocks (we are talking at least 35 spots) all over the hood and lower front bumper panel. I had to point out that if we had rocks hitting that often and that many, why weren’t the side panels on the front chipped etc. The paint had peeled off the bumper in areas and I was told that was from scraping along the little parking curb things. I didn’t agree but was more concerned about the hood. After being made to feel like they were doing me a favor and only slightly agreeing that it could be bubbles, they repainted the hood. Second time seemed to work. It has been many years and no peeling. However, the front bumper just keeps getting worse and when I asked another body shop, they thought it looked like a poor paint job. Our next job done by them was a rear repair and we have noticed that the back window now jiggles every time we go over a bump. Never had that problem before the repair. I never took it back to have redone because of the experience I had with the first repair. Needless to say, every time we go over a bump and can hear the back window shake or look at our front bumper, it reminds us that we will never have any further repairs done at Quality.

Somehow my review has mysteriously dissapeared? I thought this was important enough to re-​write in a nut shell because this place is a complete sham rip off working more with insurance companies rather than the customer. Long story short, hit a deer, messed up my front end, took over 2 weeks to repair, had my radiator replaced and grill, etc. Turns out they never replaced the trans cooler with sits in front of the radiator and was punctured in the accident but didnt notice until transmission went out a week later. Took it back and they refused to put 2 and 2 together claiming it was a seperate incident, If they would have done a complete and thourough job the first time I wouldnt have had to dish out $ 2800 for a new trans. Pissed me off so bad I sold the truck after repair. Moral of the story, just because you dont see a puddle of trans fluid in the shop after an accident doesn’t mean it isn’t empty causing damage to the trans.

WOW! I am a picky person especially when it comes to my car and I cannot say enough. Not only were they nice, funny and fast but very comforting when talking to customer. They are very professional but not to the point where it makes you feel uncomfortable. I want able to get out of work in time before the shop closed so they helped me out by leaving my car there because I had a spear key. When I arrived there was a cookie in my car!!! Car was cleaned inside and out. And the damage, you can’t even tell!!!

The vehicle was extremely dirty when it was returned. The vehicle needed to be painted and it was very obvious parts of the vehicle were not covered properly. The inside of the car was extremely dusty and the car’s floor mats had huge footprints and dust marks from the paint. The paneling from the inside of the car was not placed back properly. Molding was hanging off and paneling was completely out of its place. When I asked questions to the person who reviewed the vehicle with me, he did not know and did not offer to speak to someone else who could help. He said no one else was available. After further inspecting the vehicle at home, I noticed more incomplete issues. I called the shop and spoke to the receptionist. She could not answer my questions and refused to let me speak with anyone else… everyone was «not available.»

I had an unfortunate accident in my new truck and went to Quality Werks Collision Center in Algonquin IL because they were a «certified shop» for my insurance company. I got the estimate and the estimator did his sale job and talked me into doing the work there (a 4000 dollar plus job)
They took the truck immediately and sent me on my way, I asked for a ride about 2 miles away to my other car and they could not help so I called a friend to come get me (bad feeling has now started but I felt commited by this time). I found my own way to the rental car company and got my rental.
The truck was promised back in a week’s time, as the week passed there was NO call from anyone. I had my assistant call and they said they were waiting on a part and would let me know the next day (Thursday) I got no call ever. Finally Sat morning I called and to my surprise the car still was not ready!
I got a call about two hours later and they said I could come get it! I don’t get off work till six though and that is after they are closed so I could not go over it with anyone if there were concerns. I picked it up and it looked ok.
When I got home I noticed the lock on the door that was hit was not working properly so I called and they said that they were slammed because of the hail storm and just bring it in anytime next Thursday. Well I did, when I approached the receptionist I was greeted with a scowl and was told to «wait»
A few minutes later she said that they were all in a meeting and could not help me at this point!
I don’t know about anyone else but if I am in a meeting at work and a customer comes in we excuse ourselves and take care of the customer! I could not wait around so I left. Between the lack of communication, the poor customer care after the deal and the fact that I was hounded for my deductible several times over the phone (it was already taken care of!)
I would STRONGLY recommend AGAINST taking your vehicle here for work as there are better local shops that actually care about your and your referral business!

I cannot say enough about what a first rate business this establishment is.
Run by extraordinary people that bend over backwards to repair your vehicle right, the first time. Friendly, professional, and always smiling! They are without peers!

This is the first time I bumped my car and had to use insurance. My bumper and front fender were damaged and I had to look around farther than where I lived since there were no available earlier appointments. I found that Quality Werks was an authorized Geico collision center and I was a bit wary at first due to this. As soon as I came in I was greeted by a Geico representative, signed some papers, had an Enterprise rental car within minutes and I was out in less than 30 minutes. It took about 5 days for the repair. The Geico claim sheet mentioned that they were going to replace with CAPA certified parts and I called Quality Werks to ask if they could replace the parts with OEM parts. They replaced the parts with OEM parts despite the Geico claim sheet. I got my car looking clean and new when I picked it up. Repair was excellent, service was top notch and I wouldn’t hesitate to pick this shop again, God forbid I don’t have to.

Over the past two years, I had my Jeep repaired twice at Quality Werks. I was extremely happy both times. I feel their pricing was fair and the quality of the work is very, very good. Both repairs were «self paid». They’re very friendly, honest and the repairs were completed as promised.

I can’t say enough good things about this place!
The staff is extremely friendly and very professional. The owner is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet, honest and trustworthy. He’ll get the job done, try to save you a dollar, while not cutting corners. He will make sure your car gets repaired right and completed in time that was promised.
Quality Werks does the work in a timely manner and all the workers are very helpful.

Just got back my ’06 VW Jetta GLI back from Quality Werks this week. It was in for a minor hit from another driver.
I’m always a bit skeptical on insurance company referred shops, but as I pulled up to the shop, first thing I noticed was a very nice building. I went in and got a quick estimate. The staff was extremely friendly and very easy to talk to. Everything got scheduled via the insurance company and a few more calls with the staff and QW. I nervously dropped off my car and waited to hear more. The process moved along in the time frame we figured and even better, they finished early matching my work schedule for the day and the car looks great. They explained everything they did to repair the rear bumper and I am extremely happy with the work.
