The borscht soup is awesome! The portions are huge and you get your money worth!

I’ve been coming here since the place opened years back and I still find myself craving their baked chicken & pork chop with pasta. Its the only thing i order. I like how their pastas are different from regular café places. At least this place looks like they put sauce in theirs. This place gets packed during lunch time and parking can be difficult so try to go early or avoid those times unless you want to try your luck that works. Their televisions are usually on the chinese channels so if you want to watch a partically game you need to request for it. But overall a great place for group gatherings.

Rating drop because of the crazy price increase! 5 months since I last ate here the prices jumped! Oriental Chicken Salad — $ 8.95, was $ 6.50. Still good but not 9 bucks good. Red Pasta — $ 1.20, was $ 1. Not much of an increase but math wise, that’s 20 percent!

First time here? No problem. Get the chicken steak with black pepper sauce and the baked spaghetti with meat sauce and you are golden! Add a HK styled milk tea on top and viola!

Came in a party of 6 on 1÷1÷16. About 15 – 20 minute wait and was seated. Our waitress was great! She was attentive and spoke English really well. I didn’t get a chance to catch her name but she has glasses. Baccali has the best«Dong Leng Cha» Lemon Iced Tea. It’s sweet but sooooo good and cheap! I always order the Baked Baccali Meat Sayce Pasta because it’s heavenly, but this time I got the Pork Chop with Filet Mignon. SOOOOOGOOOD especially for the price! For the quality and the price, this place is great! They give free refills on drinks!

Crowded and the food is not great. Huge menu. Too huge. I ordered the red wine beef tongue and although the tongue was braised well, the sauce was thin and lacked flavor. Place doesn’t seem very clean. I was overall uncomfortable while eating here. Servers were very helpful though.

I didn’t know what to expect of this restaurant when I walked in with my Dad earlier today for lunch, but I was far more impressed than I expected! Walking in at 12:30PM on a weekend, we were able to be seated almost immediately(within five minutes). Yay for short wait times! As for the customer service, it was pretty disappointing — but that’s what I expect out of most Asian places anyways. We had to play that«staring contest» game to flag down waiters/waitresses to our table. The worst part was that my Dad actually made eye contact with one of the waiters, who just stared back at us without helping us! Ugh, thanks a lot bro. Besides the poor customer service, the food was on point! Everything was packed with flavor, but the tenderness of the meat at this restaurant stuck out to me the most! We ordered a «Grilled Chicken Steak & Cubed Filet Mignon» with Korean sauce and white rice. The filet mignon was absolutely mouthwatering and savory and had more tenderness than the chicken, although both were delicious. The Korean sauce, poured into an Aladdin shaped«lamp», tasted like a pot of sweet oil. That’s the best I can describe it as, but it was pretty darn good with the meat. Also, we ordered an entrée called«Singapore Chow Fun», which was nothing too special in my opinion. All in all, this isn’t a restaurant I would gush about to my friends or family members, but I did have a decent first experience here :)

After my first review, I have come back two more times, and the service has gotten better, though still a bit fast paced. It’s always hard to get their attention and hard to get your refills! The food is great, as usual, and I love trying something new each time! My favorites(the pasta included is so-so but the gravy is great for dipping!): New York Steak with Curry Chicken Wings Chicken with Filet Mignon Newly discovered favorites: Curry Oxtail Salt and Pepper Squid Indonesian Fried Rice

Ive heard good things about this place. And I’m a fairly easy guy to win over. I’m the type to rave to his friends about a new place, not to complain about a miss. Unfortunately, I’ve rarely been more disappointed in a restaurant than this one. First, the positives. The staff was very quick to take our order. That was much appreciated as I was starving. The food came to the table pretty quick as well. The layout and décor of the interior are nice, especially the high cabin-like ceiling. I noted that some of the chairs were plastic folding chairs or mismatched, but that is nitpicking on my part. Now, the longer list, the negatives. There was a lengthy wait before seating, at lunchtime, but that’s something I don’t mind one bit. So the place is very busy. It’s surprising then, that they are so understaffed. It seemed 2 – 3 waitresses were running service for the entire restaurant. It was too much for them. Once the food came, the servers were never to be seen again. The whole table’s drinks went without one refill; they were all empty, without anyone noticing. Then, flagging one of the servers down for a refill, something you shouldn’t have to do in the first place, took a few times. I was tempted to get up and grab a refill myself from the nearby soda machine. Then it took a multitude of tries before we were finally able to get any of the servers to stop to give us the check even. And all of this it wasn’t out of inattention by the servers, they were just genuinely busy nonstop, moving onto the setup for the next table that was just seated. On top of that, the food wasn’t great. I had the filet mignon and grilled chicken combo plate. The chicken was decent, a little overdone on the outside, very crispy, almost crunchy, but not too dry inside. The veggies were great and the black pepper sauce tasty. However, the filet mignon was just weird. It was so rare as to be almost uncooked. Every bite was VERY fatty and chewy. My favorite food is a good steak, and I don’t mind it a bit bloody even. But this was just not enjoyable. However, I’m an optimistic man, and in the area quite often. So I might be back to try some other dishes. I hope the service improves.

Always been a fan of Baccaliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii I like how big and open the restaurant is when you step inside. High ceilings and stuff just make it welcoming. Plus it’s always crowded and packed which makes you feel like this is the place to be. The hustle and bustle make Baccali more appealing in my opinion. This is your typical HK Café style restaurant. Big menu, lots of options, tons of drinks. I am sure you can find something here that will suit you. Noodles, rice, soup, pasta, sandwiches, there are so many choices! I believe their curry is a very a popular option. And yes I think the curry is delicious. Can’t also go wrong with a combo choice of two from chicken steak, filet minion cubes, pork chop, and fish fillet. Comes with a healthy side of steamed veggies and pasta/rice. This will set you back $ 11.95 but you will leave satisfied and full. Wash it down with some Lemon Iced Tea, or some Milk Tea. Orange Ice Tea anybody? Of course all come with unlimited refills. And guess what? They take card! Whatttttttttttttttt — but parking here can be a pain. Spaces are small and drivers are. let’s just say not great.

This is my fav Cantonese café in SVG. I have been coming here for over 10 years and they never disappoint me. The parking lot is always full so you might have to park on the street. The restaurant also gets packed so come early if you want to avoid the crowd. There are a good amount of TVs and a great place to catch games with friends. This place is also a good spot to catch up with good friends and food. Ppl come in and out quick. The staff is very efficient and the food is served fresh and quick. They serve similar food like any other Café places. However, what they are known for is the rotisserie chicken plate. My fav is the combo of rotisserie chicken and filet mignon served with either rice or pasta and a good portion of mixed grilled veggies. The portion they serve is enough to serve 2 ppl and the price is ridiculously cheap for only $ 13.95 for lunch. I always end up packing my food to go for another meal. You also need to order the iced lemon tea that comes with unlimited refills. It’s also less than $ 2 when ordered with an entrée during lunch hours. Enjoy!!!

Found out about this place when I was in college and haven’t been back in years! I was in the area recently and craving some meat so we decided on this place for dinner.
Still packed after all these years… which is always a good sign for fresh food! We got the ribeye(medium) with black pepper sauce paired with pasta and veggies entrée and the ½ rotisserie chicken and diced filet mignon with garlic sauce paired with rice and veggies. Each entrée was huge and under $ 15. I’m so happy the prices haven’t really changed too much over the years and they’ve continued to deliver flavorful food at affordable prices. The steaks were cooked perfectly, super tender and so good with black pepper sauce! The chicken was so flavorful, so tender and juicy. I could see why so many tables had ordered the Baccali chicken. The pasta was a bit dry for me this time, but the veggies were nicely cooked, and still had a crunch to it. There was a huge line by the time we left, so come early especially on weekends!

They have the best curry of all time. And it’s the only dish I get when I come here. ~Location They have their own parking lot though it’s not very big. Worse case scenario, there’s always street parking. ~Service The service has always been good every time I come here. I always ask for extra sauce in my curry and they were always cool with it. They’re also fairly quick, so if I ever needed something, they would bring it right away. ~Cleanliness From what I remember, it’s always been very clean and based off of my most recent visit, cleanliness was still good. ~Food Like I said earlier, I come here for the curry. I usually order the Curry Beef with rice($ 8.50) as well as the Curry Pork Chop with rice($ 8.50)! Their curry tastes quite different from Curry House. Teh best way to describe it is the aroma of the curry is much more captivating for my taste buds. It’s best to try it out to know what I mean. Overall, I’ll be coming back for their curry!

FOREVERDISGUSTED! I came here tonight with my friends after the gym for some post workout gains, and I was craving their pasta too! So my friend and I ordered the same thing, Korean Style Filet Mignon with Pasta. I, of course, got Korean style sauce and she got garlic sauce. I like to dip my food in sweet savory sauces like ketchup, «I put that(beep) in everything!» Lmao Anyways, my two stars is for the good food. Service wasn’t too great so I had to knock down my previous rating from 4 to 2. Let me tell you why; so I ordered a honey ginseng tea because I wanted something that would put me to sleep early. When I got it, I saw some bug looking things floating around but I thought it was parts of the ginseng roots. I drank it halfway and asked for a refill. The second time around, I saw MORE bugs and ANTS! I got SO disgusted! I asked for a manager and he didn’t come out! So I asked the server to give me a refund. The server then asked another server to help me out because I was complaining about the tea(in Chinese). Excuse me?! I understand EVERYSINGLETHINGYOUSAID!!! Not only did that piss me off, I asked the other server what he can do or offer me for this disgusting ginseng they had, and he said«I don’t know(shrugs).» This is not how you serve consumers and this is by far the most disgusting thing I’ve ever drank!!! I can’t believe I drank almost the entire thing before I realized I had bugs in my tea!!! DESERVES A SHUTDOWNFORUNCLEANLINESS!!!

I just want to say that you have to get the Indonesian Fried Rice. Like get it now. If you reading this review right now and you can’t decide what to get, I will bet all my credibility on this one dish. I have faith in you to make the right choice. Anyway, I came on a weekend to get lunch with my friends. We came in the middle of prime lunch time, so we had to wait a few minutes on the waiting list. However, it was much worth the wait. My friend said she really enjoyed the food here, so I was expecting some really great stuff. I had decided on the Indonesian Fried Rice after browsing through some Unilocal pictures. Yes, I know you do that too when you can’t decide. After a few pictures of the Indonesian Fried Rice, I took a liking to it and decided to give it a try. The rice wasn’t greasy at all. Very light and refreshing for fried rice. A few vegetables scattered inside it. But what makes this dish really take you out of this world, is the sauce that comes with it. I don’t even know how to describe it: it’s basically somewhere between a meat sauce and heaven. Pouring it on top of the fried egg over your fried rice makes every bite a walk along the beach. It also comes with some generous slices of tomato. I’m definitely a sucker for tomatoes. The veges really balance out the heavy sauce, like a popsicle stand in the middle of that beach. You won’t regret it!

This place is pretty good! In terms of food, I’d give it 3.5 stars. Your experience will vary depending on what you order here. I had the famous Indonesian Fried Rice for ~$ 11. It was okay but no where near as spectacular as what I thought it would be based on the Unilocal reviews. What really stole the show was the curry beef brisket. It is packed with flavor and the brisket melts in your mouth. If I had only ordered this dish, the food rating would have been a solid 4. As noted by other fellow reviewers, service is great here. We came on a Saturday at 11pm but had little to no wait despite how packed it was. I believe this is because of how efficient and attentive the service is. The food wait time will only be around 5 – 10 minutes and your water is constantly refilled without prompting. Overall, a great place to eat food with little wait time and at a reasonable price. Pick your entrée wisely as your experience will vary from dish to dish.

I came here and was able to a few things on the menu. Overall, this place is definitely OK. But I wouldn’t go further than OK. Food: Curry OX Tongue(w/pasta — but I ate that separately and later…). The curry flavor was good, you could tell it was a mix of the Japanese yellow curry and coconut milk. I would have picked rice if I had known that there was already a light tomato sauce that the pasta came already tossed with. I got some rice from a «not-eating so many carbs» person. The ox tongue was cooked perfectly, but some salt would have been nice. It was bland without a ton of the curry sauce. Korean Style Lamb(w/rice). It’s basically tastes like kalbi(but with pieces of beef — not short rib meat, sirloin maybe?) w/o the hassle of cooking it yourself. It was tasty. I had food envy, but only because I was a little disappointed with my dish. It didn’t have a picture of my dish in the menu, so I thought it was another Ox Tongue dish I was ordering… Oops. But, in my opinion, I’d rather have real kalbi. It just tastes better. Kalbi is much fattier(well you are eating ribs), but I think if you want to enjoy something, don’t do it half-assed. I’m just sayin… cuz you’ll still be craving real kalbi later. Cutlet Sole Fillet w/lamb(w/rice) — the fish was cooked perfectly! It had a good crust and was flaky and tender inside. It had me wondering then if they had a «fish and chips» dish, since there was tartar sauce on the plate — or would be willing to make me one??? Since this was a «two protein» dish, the fish was obviously the main protein from the plating. The lamb in this dish was not as good in comparison to the other lamb dish. The bite I ate was chewy and was not nearly as flavorful as the Korean Style Lamb(which probably accounts for the Korean Style Lamb being more expensive — LOL). I think though that the focus here is the fish, so that was fine. I would have never thought of putting lamb together with deep friend fish fillet — but hey, it worked… Almond Snow — I love the fake almond extract taste, and almond«jello»(this Asian agar agar dessert that I loved as a kid and still do now). So ALLGREAT with the Almond Snow. I should have added boba, but I knew I was trying all this food, so I held back. Just for you guys and this review… just kidding. I didn’t want that«OMG — I’m so stuffed… why did I do that… now this drink is just going to get wasted» spinning cycle of guilt(my family loved to emphasize how there are starving kids everywhere and I was lucky I had food when I was young). LOL. Taro Snow — very sweet compared to almond snow. No boba in this one either. I’m not a huge fan of taro, so I would not have ordered this on my own. My mom is a huge taro fan, and she thought that the drink was too sweet and had minimal taro flavor. There was minimal staff to customer(us) interaction. So after we ate, my mother asked me if I thought any of the dishes that I tried was good. I said, «They were OK. I wouldn’t call them GOOD though.» Apparently, this was the correct answer. She then told me that she has already eaten at this restaurant a few times now(at least three or four) and she said the food is always like this, and they raised the prices for bad food, so we’re not eating there again. Uh… Whaaah? Apparently I voted a restaurant off the island. But I agree. I wouldn’t come back unless someone else wanted specifically eat here. Which is how I ended up here in the first place, but hey, it was my first time… gotta try it to see for myself, right?

Okay, This place is for those last minute, it’s so late but the guys are über hungry and they want meat. Always. I got the Malaysian Roasted Chicken(Half a roasted chicken) which was surprisingly good. It was juicy, not dry like most. The rice was nicely seasoned, slightly curry-ish and sweetened with raisins, huh, nice! I came with low expectations since last time i was thrown under the bus here. Food is okay, extremely generous portions, and lighting fast. They simply build your plate from precooked veggies, carbs and proteins. Like a buffet they build for you and serve straight to your table. Most steak dishes are $ 13 – 15 and Chicken $ 10. And everything under that so the value is impressive. It’s a good place for late night hangry men… Iced Lemon tea is the go to drink, ask for half sweet. Free refills.

It’s more like 3 stars, but I do feel like the upkeep, atmosphere, and service is way better than other hk cafes in the area so I’ll bump it up to 4 stars. Our drinks and waters were constantly being refilled which was nice. The menu is also incredibly vast and extensive, so it may take you a while to decide what you want. We settled for the western style dishes: Cajun chicken: slightly dry, though overall Cajun flavor was there and the skin was thin and slightly crispy. Overall it was still a good dish to get. Salmon/filet mignon: filet was soft and tender, though I really didn’t like the salmon. It was fried and drowned in tomato baked sauce, creating this sickly sweet yet fishy taste bleh. The masked potatoes it came with wasn’t anything to write home about either. Chicken/ny steak: ny steak had pieces of fat and chewy tendon portions that needed to be cut out, and it was soft to the point I’m sure they put corn starch/tenderizer all over. Chicken was decent though extremely oily. I also got it with five side sauce which tasted disgustingly sweet. Nix the sauce, though the rest is bearable if you cut off the inedible portion and ignore the grease. Overall, they give large portions at great prices, but you know the quality isn’t too notch. You pretty much pay for what you get… just remember this is a hk café and not to expect five star food. Three star food, 4 star service and cleanliness. Id come here over garden café any day.
