Custard bread is hella good! All their breads are good, they are light and fluffy and not too sweet. No matter what time Ive come the breads always seem to be super fresh. One of the best bakeries I’ve been to in the area. The customer service is great here and everyone is always smiling and friendly.

This is located inside the 99 Ranch market. It’s a little smaller than the other locations and they don’t have as much selection but the bread are still good. I like their pumpkin seed and chocolate bread. The customer service were very good.

I came here at 7:30pm on sunday and the service counter was nobody there. I wait for 5mins and finally someone showed up. I asked for a tray and she gave me a WATERY tray. what a joke… the tray was like straight out from the sink. She just gave it to me and said they were ready to closed. wth, 7:30pm? They closed at 9pm and 7:30pm was ready to closed? I refused the watery tray and the girl used towel wiped it. She acted that I supposed come earier and dry the tray by myself. haha… BAD customer service. The girl did not greet me at all and she just kept chatting with a boy. Hello, I am over here. I used to come during weekday and other girls were more professional. If Bead farm like to compete with other barkery, they need to train or hire someone more professional. I will try not to come during sunday anymore…

I came by as there were no more lines after promotion. But the price of bread is over $ 2.00 and about the same as Bread Farm. I think I will settle for that instead.

If you’re looking for something like 85 degrees, it’s not even close to that piece of heaven, but i didn’t get to try any of the items, so this review might be a little… how shall i put it… premature? I visited the pasadena location after stuffing myself silly with Korean BBQ and I was expecting, something else, what I got were empty cubbies and rude employees. This BF Bakery is located at the Ranch Market, so it’s a little ‘café-esque’ area in the corner, next to where all the ready-made food items would be. I walked up to the cubbies ready to grab a tray, it was around 2:30pm-ish on a Saturday? and already the cubbies were bare. Barely anything left, and employee’s didn’t even give me a chance to look around, rudely asked me if I needed any help, then proceeded to clean whatever cubbies were empty. I will try to come here, when I think they’d have more product available to try, but as of right now, I could just hop and skip on over to 85.

4 stars for many of their pastries, including coconut cream bread. However, 1 stars for their boba milk tea. Very weak tea and boba doesn’t taste good… Go to Half/half for boba tea …

Located in the northeastern end of 99 Ranch Market, I discovered BF(or Bread Farm) Bakery & Café when 99 Ranch opened in Alhambra. I didn’t think too much of the bakery initially and I wasn’t too curious to try anything since I never craved«supermarket bread». It isn’t «supermarket bread» as it is a bakery chain found in other markets(i.e. 168 and other 99 Ranch as well). What made me a bit curious was their Mexican Blueberry which closely resembled a supersized Berrytale from 85C. They’re different though. Their Mexican Blueberry appears to be popular at other locations. It has blueberry jam instead(without the cream cheese) and there are actual blueberries in their other breads. I also feel that their breads are larger, less expensive, and less oily than 85C. This bakery does seem to attract a dedicated or curious crowd since there was a line when I was there around 6PM today. While it is not the place to hang out at, this bakery does exceed my expectations of what I would expect of a «bakery inside a market». Sure it is not warm and freshly made from the oven, but it is still tastes fresh. Can’t wait to see all the comparisons of this chain vs. 85C down the street in the near future!

I love that there’s a bakery with pre-made sandwiches for me so I could quickly get something for lunch. Their sandwiches are $ 2 and they have pork sung sandwich, tuna sandwich, and fried egg sandwich. I got the pork sung sandwich and it was delicious. The bread was buttered and the pork sung was tasty. It also had cucumber which I love! I also bought the fried egg sandwich today, but I have not tried it yet because I’m saving it for my lunch tomorrow. They also have a variety of breads both sweet and savory but I haven’t tried them yet. I will be sure to update this when I do! TIP — everything that is made here MUST be purchased here at this counter, not at the regular check out!

Note** this bakery is INSIDE of the 99 Ranch market. They operate separately from the market. Just like 85c and Little Swan, you get a plastic tray, wax paper, and tongs. Then you pick whichever pastries your heart desires. I have tried. Jalapeño Cheddar Hotdog Bread($ 1.79) — this looked really good and so it was. It was very savory and the bread itself was very nice and light(not dense). There is a perfect amount of cheese and the jalapeños aren’t too spicy. They brush the top with some type of light sweet syrup which really adds to it and makes it look glossy! I would definitely recommend this if you like jalapeños cheese and hotdogs! Oolong Tea Latte(S $ 3.25 L$ 3.75) — this was way too watered down for me and it was actually a recommendation from the cashier. Stay away. Don’t forget to check out the deli right next to it. It’s operated by 99 ranch and is hella good for pig ear, cold cucumber, bean curd, etc. I’ll update review once I try a few other pastries and possibly drop the score or keep it the same.
