Superb service and quality of work. A night out often leads to someone accidentally spilling their drink and splattering onto the bottom of my pants, luckily I brought it to buckboard because they were able to get the stain out at a very affordable cost.
+1 for a huge parking lot!

This place is as good as you can get. Annie she is always reasonable and price is amazing. Always do her best to get rid of stain that you can’t get rid of yourself, also within a convenient location inside a plaza surrounding shopping center. Also gives great advice been coming her for years. Fair, honesty, reasonable, transparent and straight-​forward.

This place is great! I’ve been coming here for years and the service and prices are always great. The lady in the front (if I recall correctly, her name is Annie) is always so kind and cheerful, and she always lets me know that they will try their best to get a difficult stain out of my items. I like the location –it’s very convenient because it’s located in a half-​dead plaza and the parking is great. They also do alterations, and I’ve had them hem my jeans a couple times and they always turned out great. Overall, this is a really great place, and I will continue coming back.

I’ve been bring things here for years since I was in middle school to have them altered. I’ve brought everything from jeans to prom dresses to my cheer uniforms. They always do an amazing job and it’s done right the first time! The only time I had to do 2 fittings was for a prom dress and that is because I changed the shoes I was wearing. Now my sister takes all her formal dance dresses here! I plan on bring my wedding dress in a few months and I trust them more then I trust David’s bridal with my wedding dress. I recommend anyone I can!

I like this place. I got my dress paints tailored here and they turnout great. The dry cleaning service is good. The prices are reasonable but the only inconvenience is that this place doesn’t take credit card.

I brought in a crumpled, size 12 dress that I purchased at a thrift store for a wedding — I’m a size 4 (it was BCBG — new with tags, so I couldn’t turn down that deal!). After only one initial fitting, Annie made the dress fit perfectly and cleaned it to perfection. She was able to get it done quickly and affordably, and was so sweet. Plus the cleaning is environmentally friendly!

The lady, I believe she is the owner and her name is Annie is extremely nice and helpful. Her husband at times is there helping out in back/​front when she is not there and is nice as well. Great mom and pop shop that you could trust and expect to receive the best customer service from.
I’ve been dry cleaning my clothes here for the past 4 – 5 years. They do a great job of cleaning and pressing in a reasonable time. (She would also clean/​tailor sooner if you request to pick up sooner, but might be an additional charge). They also do great tailoring for regular clothes, dress clothes, and military clothing (men or women). I’ve never had any issue with misplaced clothes or anything from them in the past, which is one of my fear of many dry cleaning shops.
I highly recommend this place to my friends and family and to those of you who are looking for a great dry cleaning place to clean your clothes!

This spot is kid of hard to find, the sign is hidden by a tree but its in the plaza right next to CVS.
They do an excellent job with my shirts especially the whites!

Very friendly and efficient service – price is reasonable too! Came in last week with four shirts, one of which was heavily soiled and two pants, one of which needed some repair. Needless to say, the owner did an excellent job. I was afraid my shirt was a goner after having spilled copious amounts of gatorade on it and having waited a week to bring it in, but, alas, it came out as white as it did the day I bought it! She also did an amazing job fixing up the hole on the side of my pants. All this for the low price of $ 19! Can’t beat that price and service!

Nice friendly family dry cleaners. Been here forever. Always does a good job on site. Environmentally friendly style. Reasonably priced. Tucked away in the corner if shopping center next to CVS.

Buckboard Cleaners is a good old family business where quality and customer service matter to Annie, the owner. I started going because I liked the idea of going to a cleaners that did not use the toxins found in traditional dry cleaning. But her green cleaning is not the only reason – her customer service and care for her customers is always shows through, not to mention that her prices are more than fair. For the male Unilocalers out there, I take my office shirts, ties, suits, and sometimes even minor alterations.
Even though I now do not live near Alhambra anymore, I still go to Buckboard because I like supporting such a good family-​owned business. For all you Unilocalers, her telephone number did change – it is now 626.248.8406. She is always open (it seems that way) and her hours from what I saw on the door are M-​F 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 to 5:30 p.m.
If you’re looking for quality green wet cleaning, I would not hesitate to visit her.

Price is good, plus she is so super sweet every time. I picked up my dress a week late and lost my ticket. There was no lost ticket charge :) I only started coming here, because it was the only place near me that was opened before 9am, and it’s the only time I had outside of work. No regrets with this place :)

I’ve been coming here since ’03 and Annie and her husband always take care of my family and friends. Prices are beyond reasonable, not only for cleaning but for alterations as well. Turnaround time for any service usually takes no longer than a week. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. The main woman, I don’t know her name, is like one of the sweetest people ever. I’ve been bringing her stuff there for a while. Last time I went I brought in my favorite jacket which had a torn elbow, she said she didn’t think it was possible to fix but would try, I came back and not only did she figure it out, but it looks arguably cooler than it did before the tear! Then on top of that, since she was being experimental she refused to let me pay her, I tried to give her cash like 3 times and she wouldn’t take it!
That’s just an example of a day in the life showin up here, they are the nicest people and they always do a good job, I’ve done it all there, cleanings, alterations, all types. The prices for everything are extremely modest. Best mom and pop neighborhood cleaners I’ve ever been to, Super highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Buckboard Cleaners is in the shopping center at New Ave. and Valley Blvd. Formerly know as Crawford’s Corner back in the day, anchored by the grocery store called Crawford’s Market. Sometime in the 90s Crawford’s became Von’s. Now it’s a Chinese grocery market called 168. The whole shopping center had a sort of Colonial theme to it. Wooden pavillion for performances, stagecoach parts, old timey fire hose in the courtyard, carved wood signage. If you really look, you can still see glimpses of it surrounded by the bad paint jobs, cheap import products, wafting cigarette smoke and blaring Asian pop music from the cell phone store.
The name Buckboard Cleaners made more sense in the Crawford’s era. My wife and I have been using Buckboard for about a decade as have my extended family. They do a good job and the prices are very fair. Service is great. Turnaround isn’t super speedy, pressing takes the same time as cleaning, but I’m okay with it. I mean I can get a suit cleaned here for $ 8 and get it in 3 days or go to Fashion Cleaners in Pasadena and get it in 1 or 2 days for $ 25. Annie and Nam take the time to get to know customers names and how they like their clothes and if you have the time, stick around and have a chat.

This place uses environmentally friendly WET CLEANING, which is the most environmentally friendly out of all the different processes and definitely much better than the extremely toxic «perc» process of traditional dry cleaning. Also, «perc» tends to take out oil-​based stains, but is bad for water-​based stains (and sweat), which is most of the dirt on your clothes. They have wonderful hours: 7:30 to 7 on weekdays and 8 – 6 on saturdays. this is amazing! i used to suffer trying to time picking up my cleaning from this other place down the street that didn’t open until 10 and closed at 6:30 or so.
when you walk in here, you just smell the nice clean smell of water, not the toxic fumes of perc that are known to cause cancer and pollute the air and groundwater we drink. also your clothes will smell nice and not irritate your skin. the turnaround is about 3 days. pants cost $ 3, suit jackets cost $ 5, and big coats cost $ 8.
This place can be hard to find. The address seems to place it across the street from where it actually is. It’s next to the CVS Drugstore (between CVS and 168 market) on the NW corner of Valley and New.
