All the deliciousness of street vendor corn without the mess. This is an idea that should of been created long ago, all corn no cob. At the 626 night market, Fathers Corn was posted next to a shaved ice place that I was already standing in line for. I switched lines when I saw a guy with corn fritters pass me by, had to try what they offered instead. I was only going to get the fritters at first but got tempted to try the cup of corn after just looking at it. Good thing because the corn was my favorite part. The corn in a cup came with butter, their special mayo, chili powder, and lime wedge. For some reason corn just taste better when you can just scoop a spoon full in your mouth with all the toppings and not have to worry about getting condiments dripping down your arm. What I originally came for was the corn fritters. To bad the fritters were a little underwhelming, even though they were cooked perfectly. The fritters where golden brown, hot, and had a nice crispy texture. The only problem was that the flavor wasn’t as bold as I would of liked. I wanted to taste more corn but I thought it was a little bland for me. Good thing they offered a mayo sauce with it, this complimented the fritters well. The sauce was spicy and had a very bold flavor, I ran out of that quick dipping my fritters so much. The price was around $ 3.50~4.00 each, which was a good value for the amount they gave. It took a little long to make both items but I will definitely pay them a visit next time is see them, good stuff!

Super fresh and delicious! The corn fritters are awesome — crispy, sweet, and dipped in the curry mayo, a little spicy. They also have shaved roasted corn with different toppings. I had the spicy corn and it was really tasty and yummy. I’m addicted and wished they had a shop for me to get my fix. I guess I’ll have to wait for their next event.
