This is a school that specializes on the Chinese martial art known as Wing Chun. Originally popularized by the famed practitioner Ip Man, Wing Chun had gone onto spread its influence and root on an international scale. We focuses specifically on the Gary Lam Wing Chun system, which Sifu had learned from his own Sifu/​teacher, Wong Shun Leung, and developed into a unique system not found in many other places.

We focuses on teaching people not only on how to develop their skills within the art of Wing Chun, but also on fighting strategies that can be applied in real life situations.

We open our doors to both past practitioners of various arts and newcomers, as we firmly believe that learning Wing Chun is something that can be achieved by anyone. All we ask for is an open mind for understanding, and a great personal will to learn and improve within Wing Chun!

History

Established in 2011.

While Sifu Gary Lam has been teaching Wing Chun since 1985 in Hong Kong, he had moved on to teach in California in 1997.

After teaching hundreds of students in the midst of his very own back yard for 14 years, this official school was finally opened in the heart of Alhambra on May 2011.

Studying the art of Wing Chun since 1968, Sifu Gary Lam had gone on to learn from the famed Wong Shun Leung, a close disciple to Ip Man himself. After spending years honing his skills as an assistant instructor to Sifu Wong, Sifu Lam continued on to open his own formal school in Hong Kong in 1985. Sifu Lam eventually moved to California in ’95, and began teaching Wing Chun in his very own backyard. Now with a formal school in the midst of the San Gabriel Valley area, Sifu Lam is gaining attention from martial arts enthusiasts and practitioners from all over the world.
