Guitar Lessons with Angelo

I was gifted a guitar for Christmas by my mom, knowing if I had the tool; I’d finally take the steps to do what I always have wanted to. Learn to play the guitar.
So, I found Angelo on Groupon, and I’ve had a few classes so far. I had never played the guitar, but after my first lesson I was playing Happy Birthday after one a 30 minute session! I was so happy.
He makes learning a breeze and he’s very patient. I highly recommend him!

Angelo is an awesome guitar teacher and player. He is extremely friendly, making it really easy to talk to him. Although each lesson is 30 minutes long, he is very efficient with the time. When he teaches, he goes through everything step by step at a pace that you’re comfortable with so that you can understand the material that is being taught. Angelo doesn’t give off that over-​bearing intense vibe that I have experienced with previous music teachers, which is really nice because it makes it easier to learn and play. He is open to suggestions as to what genre/​artists you prefer playing a bit more as opposed to others and he will do his best to cater to your suggestions, implementing them appropriately into the lessons, which I thought was pretty darn cool! I think Angelo is a marvelous teacher for guitar players of all levels.

Angelo is the man. He is a passionate guitar player and teacher. He breaks down everything step by step so there’s no confusion on if you’re doing it right or not. I like how he has a studio and I can go to him. It’s more convenient for me. He also has print outs for every lesson. Although the lessons are half an hour Angelo doesn’t waste any time. You start the lesson once you get there with no filler. My guitar playing had improved immensely since I started taking lessons. If you’re a beginner and always wanted to player guitar look no further, Angelo is your guy.

Angelo is a great guitar teacher. You can tell that he loves what he does, and he’s good at it. It’s nice that Angelo knows how to cater to all ages. I’ve never taken any guitar classes before so he had to teach me from the basics; but I could tell the style of how he was teaching me was very different compared to how he teaches the little boy a class before me. He’s very patient and funny which makes class that much more fun to attend.

Angelo is a wonderful and dedicated guitar teacher. I’d never taken any private music lessons before and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. For some time, I have been teaching myself to play guitar. When that wasn’t enough, I took a handful of group classes, where individual attention was limited especially in classes with more students. The overly positive Unilocal reviews here from his students and a Amazon local deal convinced me to attempt some private lessons finally.
I was very pleased to find Angelo so friendly and patient that I felt at ease learning and playing (when I generally have stage fright even with an audience of one). He won’t judge you or make you feel badly even if your playing is not up to par on a particular day. As others have said, he will tailor lessons to your liking so that you as a student you are excited about what you’re learning. He definitely has been extremely helpful in making me even more excited about playing guitar, especially fingerstyle pieces. He is one of a kind and you should take lessons with this dude. Like, really. Thanks Angelo!

I have been taking guitar lessons with Angelo for about 6 six weeks now (found him via his GREAT Amazon Local deal) and I could not be happier. His overall demeanor is pleasant and patient. He is an amazing teacher and not to mention extremely talented. He isn’t like other teachers who try to show off and make the task seem impossible – he is humble in his talent and excited to teach. He knows whether or not and even how much you have practiced during the week. His honesty and pace of teaching are greatly appreciated. He is flexible in the sense that he allows you to pick certain songs you want to learn but strict in making sure you are learning the key basic skills with songs hit pop songs. You can tell how much passion he has for playing the guitar and music in general as soon as you walk into his studio. He also has a sense of humor! He has truly inspired me to practice and to keep practicing no matter how much my fingers start to hurt or get calloused, haha! Guitar Lessons with Angelo are FUN and worth it if you are serious about playing or just want to pick up a new hobby.

I’d like to start off by complimenting the very professional and friendly guitar teacher, Angelo! You’re awesome!
In March 2013, I was searching for a guitar teacher in the L.A.-SGV area and was surprised to find someone so close to home who didn’t work out of their home or require coming to my home.
He replied to my request for info promptly and made arrangements with me to come in and begin lessons. He has a nice setup next door to Pedrini and a dance studio, you just come in with your guitar, he tunes it and you plug right in!
I love classic rock, heavy metal and thrash metal and as a slow learner I can already impress my loved ones with not just Happy Birthday but Green Day’s Brain Stew (not a personal fave, but hella fun to play).
He customizes each lesson to fit your preferred genre, seems to keep impeccable notes on each lesson with his individual students and is a very positive/​encouraging teacher.
I can’t say enough nice things about Angelo, he’s a great guy who makes you feel like you’re an old friend. I appreciate that.
Lastly, I agree with all previous reviewers re: his working with your schedule, on the occasions you have a conflict. :D

Angelo is one of the most patient and charismatic teachers I’ve ever met. He’s also flexible when i have issues about making a scheduled lesson. You can tell he lovvvvvvves music, which is definitely reflected in his enthusiasm when he’s teaching. I have zero musical talent yet i find myself still really enjoying it and wanting to really try! It’s like, i want more, i want more! Anyways, I highly recommend taking guitar lessons from Angelo. Only good things can happen…

I’ve been taking guitar lessons from Angelo since the beginning of this summer… so about 5 months now. Each session is 30 minutes long which is great because it’s short enough that you won’t feel like the tips of your fingers are burning, but long enough that you learn enough new music to practice for the rest of the week.
He’s really patient and encouraging. Sometimes I get really busy with work, school, and other hobbies, but he’s understanding because I’m pretty sure he knows sometimes how often or how little I’ve practiced for the week. The songs he’s used to teach me basic techniques like chords and strumming patterns are on the contemporary side ie: Green Day, Nirvana, Taylor Swift. But he often asks me what kind of music I listen to just in case he wants to change his curriculum to adapt to your music liking, which is nice!

My son has been taking guitar lessons from Angelo for about a year, and it has been a wonderful experience. Angelo approach is to have fun while learning, and that is so important for beginners. I highly recommend Angelo to anyone that wants to learn the guitar.
