Food here tastes incredibly fresh and delicious. Customer service was awesome, especially from Joseph who took our order in a professional and friendly way! He also came and checked on our table and happily brought us some ranches! Overall a very pleasant dining experience, and we will definitely be returning.

Pretty good, I got the #1 Original Charburger and was quite satisfied. The beef was tender and flavorful, you can tell they put in effort to make it. It took about 8 minutes to get my order, but the quality explains it. The fries were okay but nothing special. I also like that they offer Strawberry Lemonade, a great alternative to the soft drinks! This is my first time at this Habit location and I see myself coming back since it’s very close to my job. The other items on the menu are also intriguing, I can’t wait to try them!

I like this location, much more than the Rosemead one. It feels less hectic and also the staff are friendly. We went there last night and the man who took our order… Joseph? We were very impressed by how friendly he was and he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Anyway we’ll definitely come back if nothing changes!

Amazing food! Great burgers. Horrible service. Alexis looks like she hates her life and makes it clear to everyone. Ask this girl for a plate and she throws it at you and makes you feel like you’re begging for her to just have her mere presence here is unacceptable for her majesty. Get out or be nice.

I love this place. The burgers are bomb! My favorite is the teriyaki char & the onion rings are delicious. I’ve been here multiple times since they’ve opened and I’ve never been disappointed. Everything tastes fresh and it’s affordable.

The service here is amazing. I love how cheery and polite some of the employees are here. Also the food is excellent. I absolutely love the vegetarian burger, sweet potato fries, and the shakes! One of the cons is that there are really rude people eating there. So I just got my food and looked for an empty booth that’s kinda against the walls. So I make my way towards those tables and this one bitch sitting there was like«sorry honey these booths are occupied». Seriously? I mean like I don’t see anyone else but her on it, so I was like whatever, I’ll find another table. But then 15 minutes in and the lady was still sitting there by herself hogging up the entire booths. Lmao seriously?

The Habit is really stepping it up lately and expanding all over, well deserved! This location already has the great service and excellent food down perfectly. They handled the lines well and our order was perfectly. I had the cobb and subbed ahi for chicken, a great value, light but filling. My husband loved his tri tip and my son the kids meal all around happy campers. Prices and portions are fair, quality is great, love their fries and fried green beans as well.

I had the albacore tuna filet sandwich and only finished half of it. From the first bite something seemed off, but just thought it was the seasoning. Before I even made it home I felt very ill. I spent the next two days violently vomiting and couldn’t eat anything. It was horrible! When I regained my strength I contacted corporate to let them know what happened and asked if they could check the restaurant, but I received no response at all. I will never go to any Habit ever again.

Food: 4.5÷5 stars The double cheese charred burger looked on the smaller side until you bite into it and realized it was substantially thicker with meat patties. I was expecting the charbroiled flavor but it was just grilled flavor. Not bad but not what was expected. The meat was not as flavorful as InO but was juicy. The cheese was salty and the overall taste was on the salty side. The fries was nice and crunchy on the outside and soft inside, perfectly cooked. It looked overly oily though. Those who don’t like InO soft fries will love the golden crunchy fries here. I gave it an extra boost in rating due to the condiments bar and drink bar. There were 4 different pickled peppers to choose from and they had good flavors. Those who don’t drink soda will find something to like here with 3 different flavors of tea and a freshly made strawberry limenade. It was excellent. Atmosphere: 5⁄5 stars Nice clean modern decorated. Comfortable booth seatings and a large«commune» table in the middle. The open kitchen was spotless. The drink and condiments area was well stocked and clean. It felt quieter than other busy fast food place because they don’t yell out order. There’s a buzzing paging system for you to pick up food when it’s ready. Service: 3.5÷5 stars All the employees were busy body to assemble your orders quickly. They were not rude or unhappy like many places. I can’t give a higher rating since this is a self serve place. Expense: 3.5÷5 stars It’s more expensive than InO which is my benchmark. Some will argue that it is worth it and maybe it is. Return: 4⁄5 stars Definitely when I want a clean tasting no non sense burger.

I’ve never had Habit Burger until today and I feel like I found out what was missing in my life… Like I was wearing this sweater for years but recently found out that there was a hood attached to it. Where has this place been all my life? Ugh. I need to make up for lost time. I rolled up for a to-go order at 2pm, there were people eating but I was the only one in line at the time. The first thing I noticed: the workers were happy. The server greeted me and asked me what I wanted: I ordered three different #2’s: A combination #2. A combination #2, no cheese. A combination #2, wrapped in lettuce, no mayo. I stumbled a little during my order, and nervously blurted out to the cashier that it was my first time here. The cashier chuckled and said, you’re going to love it! The cashier handed me an indicator she said would light up and vibrate when my order was ready. In the meantime, I grabbed my sodas and took advantage of the condiment area. I grabbed a little bit of everything: some of the peppers, lemons, hot sauces, and ketchup. Ten minutes later, my order was ready. I was really impressed with the quality of the meat, the burger was so fresh and juicy. Because my lettuce was hugging my patties, it began to wilt… so it wasn’t very easy to eat but i’m not going to deduct points because a shmo like me wanted to eat a breadless sandwich. I also liked the fries, about ½″ cut, were hot and crispy. I gave most of the fries away to my husband, but I regretted it later after I finished my meal, haha. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend, it may just be a casual burger place, but it was pretty damn good.

Pass. Go to In-N-out instead. Cons: Fries weren’t fresh. Buns were Ralph’s value-pack quality. No individual seats. Small meat patty. Even the«charcoal-ness» selling point could’t make up for the overall, disappointing experience. Does anyone use pagers anymore? Pros: The Gatorade fountain drink was the only unexpected highlight. The room design and lighting are modern. I want my money back!

I’m really into trying out new burger places recently. After trying out Shake Shack just a little over a week ago and with that still fresh in my mind, I had the chance to come to Habit Burger Grill today. This is perfect timing since I just read an article on Business Insider saying that this chain is one of the best burger chain in the country. I came in around the lunch rush hour so there were quite a long line. I ended up getting the double char burger as well as the albacore tuna sandwich with wheat bread. Prices are for sure a lot cheaper than Shake Shack, but the quality of the burger is good! Of the two, I still prefer the char burger more. The two beef patty were very thick and took a little work to get the whole sandwich in my mouth in my first bite. Service was great. There was someone walking around. Shortly after I finish my meal, they took my tray away which was awesome! I’m definitely a returning customer.

I am glad they open one in Alhambra. It’s next to Blaze pizza and enough parking. I am glad they open at 10:30am for lunch. The cashier is very peppy and cherry. I usually order char burger combo and I didn’t wait long. They make the best fries which are very crispy. I love their limeade drink. There are enough booths and tables. It’s very clean so no complaints. Tip: order a ice cone for $ 1.

I walked there during their normal business hours and the doors were shut and the employees were having some sort of meeting inside. I went to open the door & they just stared at me and continued with their meeting. So that sucked. 2nd trip– walked there and they wouldn’t accommodate an add-on to my bf’s burger that they have done at every other Habit location. Not a huge deal but kind of lame. I order a Santa Barbara Style burger which is a double char burger but more expensive because it comes with avocado and cheese. We walk all the way home and sit down and there is no avocado in my burger. I am mad because this burger is more expensive because it COMES with avocado and that’s why I ordered it. My bf is nice enough to walk all the way back and ask them to put the avocado on it. He brings it back and there is a tiny ass tablespoon of avocado on it… I looked at it and was seriously astonished at how ridiculous the amount was. I have been to other Habit locations many times and aside from all this, the food in general did not look or taste like it normally does. I got horrible liquid poop from the food an hour later and my bf had a stomach ache all night. This location is just the worst.

I’ve been to the Habit several times at other locations and was so excited when they decided to open one here in Alhambra! This one is located in the lot the old Mervyn’s used to be in and Blaze Pizza is right next door. Plenty of parking in the lot. Charburger, fries, and onion rings are all delicious! I think the fries are just a tad bit too salty for my liking, but nothing a little scraping along the edge of the fry container won’t fix. Be warned that if you come here between the hours of 4−6pm on a school day, you’ll be eating your meal surrounded by hoards of high schoolers. You know you’re getting older when the high pitched screams and laughter of teenage girls make you want to stuff fries in your ears for some peace and quiet.

I’ve only tried Habit at the Rosemead location once. I remember it being okay, but nothing special or amazing. I came here on a Saturday night at around 9PM with the pup! There are about 5 tables set up outside and plenty more tables inside. I ordered the Charburger for $ 3.10. I didn’t opt for the meal for $ 6.85, which includes fries and a regular drink since the bf ordered a meal so we shared the fries and drink. Boy was this delicious! Either I was starving or it really was delicious. I ordered extra lettuce, free of charge, but it didn’t seem like they added more lettuce. The Charburgers come with 100% fresh ground beef with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, mayonnaise, and pickles. The beef was PERFECTLY cooked. Not over cooked or dry, and it was full of flavor! The french fries came with the meal, but if you were to order them as a side it is $ 1.95. They were also very good, with the perfect crunch and cooked perfectly. Tempura green beans($ 2.95) were DELICIOUS! They were, just as the name implies, battered with tempera batter and deep fried. The green beans were flavorful when you bite through the fried tempura. They weren’t dried out or tough. These are a MUST order! Overall: I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the burger. ‘It was flavorful and delicious. The reason why I took off a star was because I felt like vomiting. I felt that the combination of the beef patty being a bit TOO thick and the mayonnaise spread made it too heavy. Maybe I’ll try the sandwich with no mayo next time. :)

Another burger joint? There are so many in this area already! We walked by the Alhambra Place on a Wednesday evening thinking about checking out 800 degrees but instead found that Habit is already opened as well. After looking at the menu we decided to stay and have dinner there. The smell of burgers and fries are just too hard to resist! My husband ordered the Santa Barbara, which is a double patty, double cheese burger with all the usual toppings plus avocado on a grilled sourdough. Crazy, huh? It actually turned out pretty good. If you like sourdough and you like grilled cheese or patty melt type of sandwich you will like this. I agree with another reviewer that the beef patty isn’t the juiciest. This isn’t Umami or dog haus type of burger patty. But it’s a good standard burger patty. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and the chicken breast is juicy and flavorful. I got it on a roll and I have to say the bread was so-so. A little plain and dry for my taste. We also tried their fries and the tempura green beans. The green beans were delicious. They were crisp with just enough batter and salt. The fries were good. A little heavy on the salt but not too bad. I will say I thought the price was a little higher than I expected. A chicken sandwich combo with avocado added came out to over $ 10. I could get a better tasting one from Red Robin with bottomless fries. If you just get the plain burgers/cheese burgers it’s fairly cheap, just know that if you up to a combo you are looking at almost an extra $ 4 for the fries and drink. I will say the service was very friendly, and the workers kept checking up on us while we ate inside to see if they can bring us anything or take anything away for us. They even offered to refill our drinks. I wonder if they’ll continue to do this after it’s no longer a new business. Taste wise, I prefer Dog Haus for the juicy patty and creative toppings. Price wise, it’s not as cheap as in-n-out but probably cheaper than most sit down burger joints. The ingredients are fresh, and they have a good variety of items to choose from(different burgers, sandwiches, salads. etc). I think it’s worth checking it out and we’ll probably come back here and there but it wouldn’t be my top choice when I’m craving a burger.

Before I tried The Habit Burger, I remembered some people throwing around«The Habit is better than In-N-Out» and laughed it off. When I actually did try The Habit Burger, I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, price points are slightly higher than In-N-Out, but the quality is superb! The grilled onions make the char burger whole. Char burger, sweet potato fries and a drink is one tasty, satisfying meal. This location just opened, and you should be a little cautious with places that have a soft opening because it could go both ways –they may be excused for their lack of service, or they go completely all out because they just opened. This Habit Burger fortunately goes the positive direction. The manager walked around asking customers how their food was, and even offered one of the customers to refill his drink for him. What I am hoping is they keep this excellent service up(not necessarily refilling drinks for customers…) because the taste of the burgers are spot on! My boyfriend said it well, if there’s anyone else in the area who wants a change from In-N-Out(nothing wrong with that of course) then we now have The Habit Burger in Alhambra!

In-n-Out & Gus’s BBQ may have to move over, because I think I have a new favorite place. The Habit has a much larger menu, offering mushroom burgers, chicken sandwiches, onion rings, PROPER french fries, and side salad in case you’re not allowed to have french fries. I say proper french fries because I detest the fries at In-n-Out. We got there early on Friday for dinner, but by the time we were finished the line was almost out the door. The burgers are simply fantastic. More substantial than In-n-Out, and you get a bun that is toasted to the point where the edges are a little crisp, in a good way. We got a side salad and the red wine vinaigrette is REALLY good. Give that a try if you are stuck on which dressing to get. Baby C did a great job eating his half of the mushroom char burger, and the self-service drinks and ketchup & napkins were organized & well-stocked. Did I mention the excellent fries? The workers are definitely working hard & putting their best food forward. Melissa was so so nice & stopped by just as we finished our food. Melissa: «I can take that tray if you’re all done with your food.» me: *looks a huge pile of trash & wrappers* «umm… I feel really bad.» Melissa: «no no that’s OK. That’s why I’m here» me: «umm… ok» *quickly stacks the trash in the least embarrassing manner possible* This Habit Burger is literally a 5 minute walk from my house. You get 1 guess where I’ll be eating on the days where I say, «F cooking today.»

Move over In-N-Out…I’ve got a new Habit. We actually came to check out Blaze Pizza for lunch but the sign on the door read«4 days to open.» A girl from The Habit next door said that today was training day before their official opening and they were giving away FREE Charburgers, fries & a drink and would we like to try them. My husband & I looked at each other and said, «Yes!» We actually still couldn’t believe that they were giving away the entire meal for free. Everyone was super friendly and eager to please. The kitchen and staff looked organized. Our order came out promptly and looked great. This was my first experience with The Habit but my husband had their burgers from their catering truck at a golf tournament. Apparently their catering trucks are great but are already booked 3 months out. I’m not saying this because it was free, I seriously like their burgers and fries better than In-N-Out!
