History

Established in 2008.

Nova Car was founded by Luisa and Alberto Vivar along with the support of their children: daughter Jessica and son Alexis. In the 35 years of marriage between the founders they have owned and operated successful business in New York, Ecuador and now in California from scratch. Before our first review on Yelp, Nova Car earned business of new customers via referrals from delighted returning guests of the St. Regis, Ritz Carlton and Marriott Laguna Cliffs. With Nova Car’s reputation on the rise and the demand for our service increasing, Nova Car has grown it’s fleet from one to three in less than four years. From day one of servicing Orange County Nova Car has made all of it’s customers time, safety and comfort our priority.

Alexis joined the family business in an administrative role to conduct matters in regards to business development and marketing. Between work and enjoying the blessings of fatherhood there is a small margin of free time, in which, Alexis enjoys playing tennis, a good meal and a captivating read. Alexis is strongly committed to growing Nova Car to its full potential and always provide clients with the best town car service in the business. He will make your time, comfort and safety his priority.

I’ve been using Nova Car for some time now for transportation to LAX and SNA and they have always been fantastic. I just used them again two days ago when I realized I’ve never reviewed them on Unilocal and I really should! Timely, professional service, and the cars are meticulously clean and smell great. Both Alberto and Alexis are a pleasure to deal with. I’ve used various black car transportation service companies in the past but Nova Car is by far the best I’ve ever used. It’s a family run business and they go out of their way to provide great service and the attention to detail is highly appreciated. I wouldn’t use another company. Highly recommended!

Alexis drove me and my maid of honor to our church ceremony at the Christ Cathedral. He was very professional and on time. After our ceremony he drove me and my new husband to our wedding reception in the area. Overall he did a great job and the Cadillac was very classy and elegant choice for us.

I purchased plane tickets for my older mom and her friend to come visit me in the Bay Area for a long holiday weekend. I needed to secure a reliable car service that would get them to the airport and back home again in style without any hassle. Thanks to Unilocal,Nova Car looked like the perfect service. And it was — from the first text to the last. Alberto was timely, thorough & extremely communicative (which was great because my mom is not great with her cell phone). My mom and her BFF raved about everything — the cars, the service, the friendly and helpful demeanor. They were treated so well that I fear their limo service was the best part of their trip!

Let me start off by saying that I like car services. In fact, I had another car service that I used on a regular basis, but their prices were a bit high for this holiday season so the prompted me to look for a more reasonable price. As other reviewers have mentioned, Nova Car has excellent customer service. Not only was their price better than the other car service I used, but we were offered a free upgrade as a new customer. We appreciate the attention to detail that we received from Alexis. He was professional, courteous, on-​time, and perhaps more importantly personable. I try to frequent mom and pop businesses and because of Alexis, Nova Car has a new regular customer.

Hired Nova for a pick-​up upon returning from Hawaii. I wanted an elegant and good experience to wind up the vacation and that is exactly what my party and I received. Alexis was waiting at baggage claim and took great care of us — from handling our baggage to providing a refreshing beverage once in the car.

Alexis of Nova Car is awesome! He is prompt, courteous, and so very helpful! Not only does he do all the things a driver should (such as hold the door open and make sure we’re comfortable getting in and out of the car, load luggage in & out, etc.), he always has bottles of water (filtered or bubbly) on hand, and carries our luggage from our apartment (3rd floor walk up!). His service is excellent. I recommend his service to all my friends and colleagues in the Irvine/​Santa Ana/​AV area!

Great employees and pricing. Professionalism and cleanliness is an understatement. I really enjoyed that I got to my destinations in a timely manner… one minor hiccup in the beginning but was quickly resolved without becoming a big issue. Door to door service with sparkling or flat water available. Some of the other reviews were a bit older so I was a bit skeptical but I was very pleased with my decision to use Nova Car for the first time and have already made reservations in the next couple of weeks. Very reasonable rates as well.
UPDATE: Used the service again for an airport drop off/​pick-​up. They were on-​time, courteous, and professional while at the same time very friendly!

Used Nova Car to drive us from Aliso Viejo to LAX. Family owned business and the service was great. The service was door to door and they provided us with a choice of sparking or flat water.
Arriving back to LAX, we had a late flight (9 pm); we were hungry and asked to have them go through a drive-​thru window. They had no problems doing that, even
though they had another appointment after ours. The quality and cleanliness of the car was superb. We are glad to call on Nova Car versus Super Shuttle. We would use them again.
