History
Established in 2003.
As an early proponent of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ruth McCarty M.S., L.Ac. has spent her career working to integrate these methods into Western medical institutions continuing the healing and comfort process where modern medicine stopped. She is currently on staff, with allied health care privileges at Children’s Hospital of Orange County and CHOC at Mission and provides traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapies in conjunction with the staff physicians, to comfort critically ill patients while in the hospital, as well as treating an active outpatient population in her private practice, Open Mind Modalities located in Aliso Viejo, California.
Lauren Koeller M.S., L.Ac. has officially joined Ruth’s healing team at Open Mind Modalities after mentoring with Ruth for a year. She serves as Ruth’s Associate Acupuncturist and is also a California Board Licensed Acupuncturist passionate about the integration of medicine.
