The star is a place holder. Apparently you can’t leave no stars!!! This place has got to be the worst in customer service. I went tonight to get a nail fixed out of my tire and after waiting the 30 minutes Brandon came to tell me due to it being a Sunday he was unable to help me.

Pep Boys have been a great place for me! I have had several services with this location and they have been informative, helpful, and respectful. Front and back brakes with new everything. Oil changes, wiper blade, and 2 different engine belt replacements over the last few years. Its a great comfort to know a single lady can walk in and get help without feeling ripped off or uncomfortable. Quite the opposite in fact! Thank you Aliso Viejo Pep Boys!

What a joke. Bought a battery that came with a rebate. Tried to fulfill the rebate «easily on their web site» like they told me to and it said something was wrong so I’d have to call. Called, and the guy looked it up, agreed that I should get the rebate, apologized, and said I’d have to mail everything in. Just got a card in the mail that says there’s something wrong with the rebate and to get on their website to sort it out. Obviously a circle and I’m done with it other than warning other people to beware. Their rebates are not real, this is a scam.

Just got some engine work and brake service done here. Plus some air inflated on my tires. Everyone was very nice and helpful. They even took some extra time to come walk us through some simple instruction manual questions. Just want to say an extra thank you to the guys in the bay, they were all very nice.

I just had new rotors and breaks put on the day before I brought my car here due to I was hearing something rubbing in the passenger rear tire. I also wanted them to Check the AC for a hissing sound probable leak. I received a call 3 hours later stating I needed new rotors and breaks and when I told him I just got all new ones the day before he started babbling oh yeah what I meant was you need a minor adjustment. When I asked him about the AC he said what’s wrong with it? I told him that was the main reason for me bringing the car there. Needless to say I will never bring a car there again and this isn’t the first time I have had an issue with them. Do not bring your car there.

I discovered my headlight was out and also needed some wiper blades. Decided to replace both headlight bulbs ($ 30 total) and get new blades and they installed all of them immediately for free! Think of all of the money and time I saved by going there rather than the dealer! And this was on a Sunday, too.

I did contact their customer service about my negative experience. I received an email saying they would contact me but no one ever followed up and I was never contacted. I will not be going back to any Pep Boys stores in the future. ZERO STARS

There is absolutely no reason to schedule an appointment for service here. I took my car in with a 3pm appointment. The employee who checked me in said that my car would be ready in «about an hour». I left to continue on with my day and by 5pm I hadn’t heard from them yet, so I called them and they told me that my car was «next to go in» and would be ready in about «45 minutes». My car wasn’t ready until 650pm. I complained to the employee about it taking 4 hours and he told us about a coupon for 10% off. His attitude other than that was completely uncaring. Please keep in mind this was for a simple battery change. Almost 4 hours and that was with an appointment! That was hands down one of the most ridiculous things I’d ever heard. I’m going to call their corporate office and let them know that this location couldn’t care less about keeping their customers happy. Only use this location if you have tons of free time and you don’t need your car for hours. Otherwise, stay clear. It’d be worth it to go the extra distance to go somewhere else. That’s what I plan on doing.

Almost nobody to help. Waited 20 min for parts. Phone rang & rang while we waited in line! Awful!

Got all four tires done here about two weeks ago. Not bad service but not the best it seems like under staffed. I only went here because I live at city lights and just dropped off the car and ran up the back hill and waited at home :-) the problem was nobody called when my car was finished and I had to wait around in the lobby until I finally was rang up and later looking at the receipt realized I was over charged 7.00 and haven’t been able to get over there to get the refund and also still waiting on that Mail in rebate…

Called for some information. Had me on hold for over 10 minutes and then hung up on me without even talking to me. They must not need the business

I came in today to get a new battery installed in my car. I was late for my appointment but they squeezed me in and I was driving off about 30 minutes later. I would like to point out that I know almost nothing about mechanical issues and I am a prime target to get ripped off. Jason and Maaz (I believe that was his name) were very helpful and got me back on the road quickly and cheaply. I really appreciated it!

I was in this shop for a battery replacement today. My problem was that I couldn’t wait and I couldn’t drive my car out because the battery was dead. After speaking with Rich, the manager, about my situation he took it upon himself to personally replace the battery. It totally took me by surprise that a company could respond this unbelievably. I applaud Rich for understanding my situation and next time I promise to make the time to wait.

I have bought a snow cable from Santa Ana Pep boys and didn’t realize that the cable was wrong…
I called Pep boys Aliso Viejo and John was very helpful… He placed an order for the right snow cables and next day Liz informed me that it’s available to pick up.
The manager helped me and the associates helped me so I’m 100 percent sure… I’m a customer who will be recommending this store.

There’s absolutely no sense of urgency at the cash register or otherwise to get customers out in a timely manner at this dump. And there’s this «stout» short little brown haired girl that works the cash register, at least when she’s so inclined, who relishes in the opportunity to draw out interactions with customers as long as is humanly possible to keep everyone else in line waiting. That was the last straw for me a couple of months ago. Came to the line with one person in front of me who was having issues returning an item. She fumbles around with the cash register doing God knows what for three minutes, then calls the manager over to assist? He proceeds to peck at the register in the same fashion as she had just done for another two minutes, while miss wonderful stands there with HER HANDS ON HER SIDES LOOKING AT EVERYONE IN LINE WITH A BLANK STARE!!! By then, there were 3 people behind me.
Why did he or she not open another register and get people cashed out and back to their cars??? Does such action require that much thought??? You and I know that answer to that question, as I’ve proposed an explanation for similar experiences elsewhere. This is how small people achieve the only feeling of power they will ever have, the opportunity to force people to wait for them, by not waiting on them.
After having to endure a couple more minutes of these two rocket scientists feebly attempting to achieve what was apparently unachievable by the effort of one, I put my tire treatment on the counter and walked out. I will not be returning to this or any other Pep Boys, period.
I’m sticking with O’Reilly Auto Parts on Alicia, right off the 5 freeway. These guys are on it, from the time you walk in, to check out. You walk up to the register and someone is immediately there. In fact I’ve been there before with just one person in front of me, and the girl at the register asked for more help from the back to cash me out, immediately. They’re across the street from my gym anyway, so it’s convenient.
If you want, or expect, prompt service of any kind, avoid this Pep Boys at all costs.

Definitely would recommend taking your car elsewhere. I’ve come here several times for an oil change and regular maintenance and there hasn’t been one easy experience. They always take longer than what they tell you and forget simple things like filling your windshield wiper fluid. The multiple times I’ve asked them to do something besides an oil change, they forget and I have to remind them when I pick my car up. There are many other places that will do a much better job.

I have brought my Truck and SUV here for about 8 years. I have never had any issues with these guys. They are always helpful and get the job done right.
One time I told the guy what the symptoms were and he asked what kind of car it was and then said he knew what the issue was. We went and drove around the block and it was fixed. Then I asked him about some other issues and he looked at it and let me know what was going on. Really helpful and didn’t even charge me despite my efforts to pay him something for helping me.
I have been a customer here for a long time and will continue to go here till I move.

Well I thought that I would give Pep Boys another shot… MISTAKE!
I made an appointment for right when they opened (9:00AM), walked up to the service counter and was greeted by an associate that didn’t seem too happy to be working.
What I needed today was an oil change and a brake job all around. I also told the guy helping us that I would like my transmission fluid flushed if the brake quote wasn’t too much. I was answered with a grumpy «That’ll be $ 179.00!» Wow! Really?
So back to the brakes, I informed the guy at the counter that I didn’t have the lug key for my wheels and he abruptly told me that they couldn’t do it. Again, Wow! Really? With all of the wheels your service department has dealt with over the years? He went on to say that they could get them off but it would coast me $ 150.00 to get them off. Yes that’s $ 37.50 per locking lug nut.
The entire conversation lasted maybe 3 to 4 minutes and the entire time he was turned kind of side ways like he was answering a question in passing.
One thing that I noticed though. Normally there are people standing at the doors waiting for them to open. This time we were the only ones there and the garage area was half empty. Maybe it’s true when they say the way you conduct business will one way catch up with you.

Definitely Little to no caliber with the pep boys crew, they seem lethargic and unwilling to provide a thorough job in a timely manor. I came in for a simple oil change and was told I had to wait 2 hours? That’s just ridiculous if you ask me. I should have taken my car to my best friends shop «Goodyear». This was a complete disappointment.
I probably wouldn’t have been to frustrated if the employees actually cared and didn’t carry such a horrible attitude with them.
My tip is just go to big o tires or Goodyear you’ll be more satisfied.

4 people at checkouts. All refused to service or ring up a sale. Sent me to the ONLY empty register — WITH NO ONE TO RING UP A SALE.
This shop is terrible.
Stood at front check out for about 5 minutes. NO ONE WOUKD HELP. Every time I waved at a staff — they pretended to not see me and disappear.
Go to service desk to ring a sale and they refused to ring the sale — and sent me back to the ONLY EMPTY REGISTER– and so I stood there again like an idiot while EVERYONE PRETENDS TO NOT SEE A CUSTOMER with a cart trying to purchase product.
Shame on these guys. SHAME SHAME SHAME.
