Soboba Medical Group – Medical Weight Loss-Laguna Hills Clinic

The shots I got off of the groupon deal didn’t do ANYTHING. I feel like they were shooting me with water and taking my money. The plus side is, the appetite suppressants work really well. And the front desk nurse ladies are really nice.

Love this place. The Drs. a little strange but you usually only need to meet with him every few months, depending on your plan. I love love love the girls that are working there now on a regular basis. Everything is just so quick and easy! And there are always deals! Which is a plus! Definitely recommend this place!

Bought a groupon and went to this clinic with low expectations. I lost more than 30 lbs and hope to lose more until I reach my ideal body weight. Parking is easy and the staff are very friendly.

Stay away from this place, the only thing that gets thin is your wallet. The office workers that also double as medical assistants or nurses do not wear gloves when giving injections or taking blood. The floor always looked filthy, run away.

I went here to lose weight and that’s what I accomplished. I lost 20 lbs and have kept it off. I am so happy I came here and have recommended it to friends and family. I read that someone else gained her weight back right away, but I have kept mine off (easily) for 6 months now sans a special diet and exercise routine. This place isn’t meant to teach you how to live a healthier lifestyle (it’s shots and a diet), it should help you kickstart into one. I did (still sometimes do) the HCG shots and a B12 shot. Along with the shots, there is a strict diet consisting of mainly protein and green vegetables. If you don’t stick to the diet, you won’t be successful because the shots do NOT mix well with fats etc.– that actually makes you gain more weight. I know the diet has very low calories per day (700 – 800), and you would lose weight if you just did the diet, but I would be SO hungry if I wasn’t on the shots at the same time– that is why you take the shots. I couldn’t do the diet without the shots. I don’t even take the appetite suppressants.
PROS:
— Maria (the woman with the Irish accent): She is very amiable and kind. She always looks out for me and makes sure my balance is correct (because sometimes the computer is a little funky). She gets to know you and is such a delight to see everyday. I understand that it is stressful to work there all alone (as she often does), so I like that she gets me in and out of there quickly (seriously, I’m there for 2 minutes) and I try to do my best to help her be efficient as well.
— Quick and easy service: When I just get my shots everyday, it takes like 2 minutes. When I go to see the doctor, I only sit with him for 5 – 10 minutes.
— It works! I haven’t tried anything but the HCG and B12, but they worked for me and that’s all that matters.
CONS:
— Doctor wasn’t very informative when I met with him, but he was honest about the product and results.
— The staff is helpful, but not extremely informed about the products. This can’t be their fault though; they aren’t the doctors. They can only go off what they’ve seen and heard from clients, so don’t rely on them for information you should be asking the doctor.

I have tried many ways to shed my extra pounds. Exercise, diet, gallons of water and nothing seemed to work. Since working with the Soboba Medical Group I have dropped 15 lbs. I couldn’t be happier. 10 more lbs to go!

I needed alittle extra help on my diet and a new healthy lifestyle. so i decided to try Soboba in Cosa Mesa which was interesting. I have tried all shots and decided that i liked the lipo shot the best but, everyone body is different you have to find whats right for you. Maybe you dont even need it .its not an easy/​fast way to loose weight its to help you get started on a healthy lifestyle that should be the goal. its not weight watchers or other exspensive diet clincs i couldnt count calories or eat there food. My goal is to be healthy and keep enjoying the things i like to eat :) Maria Gold is so sweet and helpful and so professional its why i go back just to see her and its on my way to the gym :) if you want to be healthy you got work hard for it and stay with it and if you need a alittle help weather its a vitimin B shot, of lipo shot or even appetite suppressants you should go see Maria at Soboba and she be more than helpful. try it and judge for yourself everyone is had there own goals. Whats yours?

I would encourage you NOT to go to this center. They seem very disorganized. They couldn’t remember what program I was on. If I got a B12 shot or not. But they always remembered to get paid. And now that I have shopped around, I have discovered much better centers for much less money. I think the doctor is a bit of a quack. And the office is tacky considering how much money they are making. Try somewhere else. Hope this helps.

although i lost about 30lbs (which i gained back right away) the staff is rude, and grumpy and has NO KNOWLEDGE about anything. no nutrition help, not more than 1 plateau breaker, which you starve on. the diet is already below 800 cals. and and when you see the Dr, he cant actually offer a solution. he just says «if you follow the program, i dont know why you stopped losing weight.» «we have hit a wall here»./ ill never forget what this so called Dr said to me. i actually know alot about nutrition now, and have lost all my weight 50lbs, by healthy diet and excercise. the phentermine they give you is bad too. obviously makes you feel like a tweeker, and moody. its good for a «quick fix» but expect to gain it all back, and have terrible service.

I would not recommend this weight loss center to anyone, it is a total rip off. They prescribe diet pills and hcg shots with very little medical supervision and are more interested in taking your money that helping you safely lose weight.

Not sure if the treatment worked or not as far as losing inches, but I feel so much better! I definitely lost some toxins! The staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. They make you feel comfortable.

BEWARE OF BEING RIPPED OFF! I’m disappointed and kinda embarrassed to say that I paid the nurse at the Laguna Hills Soboba $ 35 to pretend to give me a triple vitamin B shot (it’s supposed to give you energy and help with weight loss). I went in for the shot only (no weight loss program) so I was in and out pretty quickly. She asked me to bend over, and when she knew I was facing the opposite direction, she pretended to give me the shot. I felt nothing other than the cotton ball she rubbed on my butt to prep me. She said it was painless because she used lidocaine. She seemed very nervous and was telling strange stories and talking really fast. Then she rushed me out. As I was driving home, I started to wonder what had just happened. Later, I inspected the site in the mirror and couldn’t see as much as a pin-​prick on my skin. I felt nothing either. I called and spoke to the office manager who acted very sympathetic, but also repeated over and over that he wished he could convince me that I did indeed get the shot. This was disappointing to say the least. He did offer me the opportunity to get another shot free of charge at a different location. I accepted and went to the Costa Mesa location. Costa Mesa gave me the real deal because the shot hurt like hell (even with the lidocaine), plus I had other symptoms, such as a tingling in my mouth (possibly an after affect from the lidocaine), and I felt an almost immediate rush of energy that comes with getting the vitamin B shot. If I ever decide to get another, I will definitely go to the Costa Mesa location again. I just want to urge people who are considering a visit to the Laguna Hills location to save their money and go elsewhere.

I have tried many a weight loss program. South Beach, Sonoma Diet, Body for Life, Zone, Weight Watchers, and many, many more. None of them work like Soboba Medical Group did for me! The Soboba program is simple, easy to follow, and very flexible — I get to have my wine, I get to eat out, and when I take the time to exercise, I get to eat more food! The plan is also health centric and teaches you how to eat — they give you general guidelines to follow to ensure you are getting all your nutrients.
If you’re ready to make a lifestyle change in the choices you make, these guys have the total solution. It starts and ends with the mind. Highly recommend this for those who are ready to make that change in life.

While I have always been a bit of skeptic on «diet» solutions, my wife and I tried this place before getting married. We wanted to look our best for the wedding.
The doctor sat with us and explained the process and general nutrition as well. Food intake, needing to exercise, portion control, as well as what their system did and did not do. 1 pound a week was the healthy way of losing weight and they helped us achieve our goals.
Overall we had a great service and support from the doctor and staff.
We recommend them highly to all our friends and relatives.

1^st of all, this place moved… the new address is now… 1901 Newport Boulevard, Suite 156, Costa Mesa, CA 92 627 (would have been nice if the lady on the phone would have told me that before I drove over and hour to get there to make it before their lunch break) and 2^nd of all, the staff is unprofessional, rude and snobby. Yes their HCG shots work for the most part but you get a good dose of bad service to go with it. I rather not bother with any of that, so I’m looking for a new place that offers the same services… they are not common. =(
