I’ve tried many Thai restaurants this one is hands down the best, parking not so great but food and service are great.

The food’s awesome, the wait staff is super friendly. Recommend the Fr3 and the Fr4, along with some spring rolls & a thai tea…

This place probably has the best Thai food downriver, the staff is always really friendly and they’re generally pretty quick. I’m a huge fan of drunken noodles and these are the best ones downriver that I’ve come across.

Yuck. That pretty much sums it up. Which is too bad because it is close to home and we were hoping to find a good thai place for carry out in Allen park. I ordered my pad ped NO spice and hubby ordered his medium. Both dishes were so insanely spicy they were inedible. I took a couple bites and threw it away. My husband was braver than I was and ate some of his and had leftovers the next day. And he paid dearly for it trust me. Stomach cramps and diarrhea like crazy. I called and demanded my money back and after some arguing with me they obliged. If you want thai food, Please heed my warning and stick with bangkok 96!

I’m still new to Thai food but I thought this place was very good. Nice quiet little place with friendly staff. I got chicken pad Thai and it was very flavorful. Not sure on their spice levels I got mild which wasn’t spicy at all, next time I’ll definitely go up on that but if you have a low tolerance for hot stuff the mild should be good. Look forward to eating here again.

I’ve eaten here numerous times because in my opinion, its the best Thai restaurant in the metro Detroit area. It’s a medium sized restaurant with free street parking. Its also walking distance from the Allen Park dollar theater. The restaurants interior lights are a little dim at night and perfect for the couples and small families who dine in. The servers are very friendly. I’ve only dined in once and it was a pleasant experience. But sometimes, particularly in the evening, there’s a faint sewage smell. Thus, I usually get my food to go. They take credit cards and my meals are always hot and fresh. It never takes more than 15 minutes for my food to come out. My favorite dishes cost between $ 10 and $ 15. That may sound expensive, especially considering it doesn’t come with a spring roll or anything. But the portions are so large I get at least two meals out of it. My favorite dish is the Drunken Noodle, [N6] for short. It contains flat wild rice noodles sautéed with basil, onions(I sub carrots) and bell peppers. The noodles are al dente which means they are perfectly done to you non-foodies. They also use fresh veggies which are large and flavorful, not that diced frozen bag produce from your local grocery store. The sauce which balances it is amazing! Only one other dish comes close. The [FR5] Kow Pa is made of fried rice, chicken, jumbo shrimp, egg, onions(I sub peppers or pea pods,) carrots, spinach and broccoli sautéed in the Chef’s special sauce. I don’t know what’s in that sauce but it’s divine. My only criticism is that the Chef’s sauce really depends on who’s cooking that night. Sometimes it’s thin and not as flavorful but at its worse, it’s head and shoulders above other Asian restaurants in the area. Thai Vylai is my go to spot when I’m in the mood for Thai which is all the time. Go, I promise you’ll love it. You might even see me there!

Awesome Thai food. We usually get curry dishes, mainly Gang Gai & Pa Ped. One of the best we ever had. The curry is good and not bland or watery like a lot of other places we’ve tried. If you have leftovers, there’s enough of the curry sauce so when you reheat the food it doesn’t dry out. One piece of advice, if you go during lunch, just order the dinner portion. For $ 2 extra, you’ll get a way better value and make 2 – 3 meals out of it. Lunch is smaller and they put the curry dish in the same container with rice. That just soaks up all the liquid and I hate that. Had I known they did that, I would’ve asked to put them in separate containers. We were just used to dinner portions being packed separately. Don’t skip the Crispy Rolls. Prices are higher but that won’t deter us of visiting every 3 months or so.

Great food! However, a few times when picking up carry outs l, I’ve been given the wrong order. And the inside of this place smells like a sewer. That’s the reason I only get take out

I tried this place a couple of weeks ago and was very pleased. We just got carryout but everything was fresh, delicious, and properly spiced. Our food was ready when it was supposed to be and it was all properly packaged. This is exactly what Allen Park needed.

Wow, this place is feast or famine in terms of customers. I walked in the door with a couple of friends the other day. When we get together it’s normally a couple of hours, so we were here for awhile. It was swamped when we arrived around 12:15, but the waitress was still very attentive. She refilled our drinks before we even ordered as we all poured over the menu. None of us had been here before. We each picked a different dish off the menu, though I’d be hard pressed to tell you the exact names of them. I’m very bad at remembering the names of these dishes. We all went with medium spice levels and all three of us absolutely loved out meals. The lunch specials each came with a free cup of soup which was extremely flavorful. As the clock turned to just after 1 p. m the packed restaurant cleared out and it was empty for the last 45 minutes we were there. The staff remained attentive to us and didn’t mind us staying an extended amount of time. In the end the meal was about $ 10 a person including a drink. I’ll definitely be back, though I spend less and less time in Allen Park due to changing duties at work.

I ordered 3 Apps for breaking my fast.(Pig out Day) I got Rangoons, chicken wraps and chicken satay. 3 sauces(2 variations on sweet & sour and peanut.) It was a delight. I also got house Hot & Sour soup(cilantro made it seem bright!) Upon compliment of soup server offered more. I deferred until after meal and was glad I did as I was sated. Bill was $ 19 but indeed worth it. I was exploring and have to go back to try entrees. Looking about they seemed fair to huge depending on lunch or dinner portion.

I am a little disappointed in one of my go to Thai places today. I called in a carry out order and when I got there, the order was $ 15. Luckily I checked my order before leaving. They had given me a skimpy lunch portion and charged me $ 5 for a cup of soup that comes free if you order the lunch. Also, charged another $ 2 for a tiny side of crushed peanuts. Rip off!!! And let’s face it this place is in Allen Park not Bloomfield Hills. Way overpriced for the area and the amount of food! I sent it back and they made a dinner portion which involved dumping the old lunch portion into a pan and cooking it with additional items, not very classy. I ended up settling on the mixed dinner portion and sent back the soup and the two dollar tiny side of peanuts. I like their food but they need to reevaluate their pricing and show a little more professionalism or they will not last in this area.

The place was packed during lunch time, but the service was efficient. The Pad Cashew I had was certainly worth the wait and the best I have had so far! The place is tightly packed, but you are able to enjoy the great food at you own pace. I highly recommend treating yourself, your friends and family!

I have had 2 experiences here and they both have been great. I have been to Bangkok and enjoyed the authentic food from there and feel that this is just as good as that was. I had chicken, shrimp and rice noodles that had medium spice. The spice was exactly where I wanted it to be.(Not too hot) The atmosphere was good and lots of people were here for lunch on a Friday. The staff was friendly and somewhat quick to respond. The décor is cheap but it’s all in the food and not as much the other things. I do admire that part. This place seems to be a great place for lunch and dinner. I will be sure to come back again and also being out of town guests here as well. Great place for Allen Park.

I love their spring rolls and the peanut curry dish(C9) made with chicken. The spring rolls are light & crispy and filled with a shredded cabbage mixture. l order the peanut curry dish medium plus and it is a perfect heat. The sauce is just right not too thin and not too thick. It has a nice peanut taste and not overpowering. The service is always great. If you like Thai food, this is a must try. Their prices are reasonable too.
