Great fun for the whole family. The staff was super friendly and patient with our two-year-old. Super fun for his first time. However, the food was sub-par.

Came here for the first time with the Groupon. We were given Lane 24, and we had several problems with it. First, the enter button was very glitchy, so we had to go to the front desk and wait in line again. They manually entered in our names. Then we had an instance of where the machine gets stuck and won’t bring the new set of pins down. I run back to the front desk, wait in line again, and then it’s fixed. And then, there was this weird thing where it came down missing one of the pins, and then for the next person it came down with only one pin – that missing pin. I do my little dance again where I run up to the front desk, wait in line, and then they come fix it. Another time, it counted pins knocked down when it wasnt. I don’t know how many minutes we lost waiting to fix these problems but we sure didn’t get reimbursed. Service was mediocre. I get it, it’s Saturday night. But the crowd is expected, and would it hurt to smile at your customers? Also they really should provide more hand sanitizer in a location where it looks like it’s okay to use it.(It was behind the counter.)

We bought the Groupon for Allen Bowl and went only to be informed that Wednesday is «League Night» and we would not get to bowl(unless we wanted to wait til 9pm… even thought half the lanes were unoccupied. I’m not sure how long two games would have taken us, but I’m pretty sure they might not have missed one lane for that time). Upon talking to the staff we found that pretty much every weeknight is league night, and the only times we could be assured of getting to actually BOWL at this bowling alley were earlier in the day or on weekends. Neither of those times really work for us, so our Groupon is basically useless. We were very disappointed.

I have passed Allen Bowl for years. The parking lot was always full, but was never interested in going in there. Since I have recently become interested in bowling, I went here with a friend because on Sunday’s they have $ 0.99 games. We played 6 games and rented shoes which totaled to only $ 14.00. Anyways we walked in at 11 am and the place was already filled. We played the games, and I was impressed on how great people were at bowling. The place is clean and atmosphere is friendly. It is a tad outdated compared to the new bowling places out there, but it serves it purpose.

We settled here after hearing of the 3-hour wait at Splitsville. Allen Bowl is very outdated, but nostalgic. There was only a 45 minute wait for 2 lanes next to each other to accommodate our group(6 adults/2 teenage boys). There were open pool tables so the wait seemed short. The food was terrible, but the service was good. We will go again just to catch some cheap bowl and people watch. :)

I can’t describe how sh¡+y this place is. The first pizza I ordered took 45 min for them to tell me it was almost done and after an hour I said forget it. The 12 year old kid that was pouring me beers was nice but he said he had to leave because his mom was there to pick him up. To make it short the bowling was fun but the food and service sucked.

Nice bowling alley with a very family friendly feel to it. $ 0.99 cent games from 11:00 — 1:00 on Sundays is great. Having to bowl exclusively on one lane(four people) isn’t great, but at that price I can live with it. All of the employees are really nice, and the restaurant makes OK food.

The wife and I went here on Sunday for their $ 0.99/person per game and had an absolute blast. Sure, they have billiards and video games that could use some updating, but I go to a billiard bar for pool, arcades for video games, and to a bowling alley to bowl. Ball return is quick, the place was clean and the overall atmosphere was fun. I’ll definitely be back.

Allen Bowl isn’t too big or too small. You can drink your pitcher and not have to hike ½ mile across the place to hit the bathroom. Everything is right there without having to maneuver through a crowd. Short lines, friendly staff and the ball return is super fast so you’re not wasting half your time waiting to roll! Shannon«Shot Gun Shot Shannanigans» R. gives it a BIG5 Stars!

I think the reviews are rather harsh. As bowling continues to die a long slow death, this rare mom and popper bowling roadside wunderkind survives. The Friday night glow bowling is fun-tastic, the intimate alley makes for fun with friends. The food service is poor and poky, the game room dated and worn, but the lanes are solid and fun. And I like supporting a local business.

Blah… is what I have to say. Unfortunately-never take your kids or yourself for that matter. Extremely country-poor customer service, limited service on ball return, nervous about the kitchen and smokey each time I’ve visited. Go to AMF or one of the other newer alleys.
