Received a reply today, please note this is more than a year later. He was going on and on about how they had to close to attend his wedding. Well if you run a business, you don’t just lock your door and put up a hand written note. They should have let customers that had pending repair orders know they would be closed. They had my phone number, what’s so hard about doing that? The workmanship was poor and even with the discount for my trouble of having to go back to the shop again, it was much higher than warranted.

Okay, first off I don’t know who in the world this one star reviewer is on the watch battery replacement, but it’s a ridiculous review and I doubt if it’s even legitimate. I live in Allen, and a couple of months ago took my nice, Raymond Weil watch in for a battery replacement. Allen Jewelers did an outstanding job of fixing my watch, making it work properly and I was very pleased with their service!
So, I started talking to Pete, the owner & Master Jeweler, about having a diamond and 14K yellow gold wedding ring made that I’ve wanted for a long time. I looked through their ring books, at the store, and found a ring that I loved. However, since the stones I already had were different than the ring found in the book, Pete said that he would like to custom make the ring.
It was about a 4 week process, from beginning to end (very quick), and today I went and saw my new, custom-​made ring for the very first time. Words cannot express or do justice to the absolute beauty of this ring! I was so overwhelmed that I started crying. It is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ring that I have ever owned!!! I wish I could post a picture of it here for everyone to see. The quality, craftsmanship, style, attention to detail — everything — is more than I could have ever imagined! It is unbelievably beautiful, elegant and a one-​of-​a-​kind ring!!! I’ve only had the ring for about three hours and have already gotten compliments on it from complete strangers. The ring is absolutely stunning!
Pete is a true artist and perfectionist. I highly recommend him for anything that you could ever want made, as you will get more than you ever thought possible! Thank you guys so very much for making my dream into a reality and giving me a ring that I will enjoy wearing forever!

I do not leave a lot of reviews on Unilocal,I can pretty much guarantee there is at least 1000 shops/​restaurants I have eaten at that I need to however and one day I will get around too.
I recently (past 3 months) visited this place on a whim when I needed to get some links on my watch removed and adjusted. Truthfully I was stopping in to grab dinner for the kids at wingstop and saw this a few doors down and figured why not stop in and support the local guy.
The shop is nice, some antique watches and jewelry along with a good selection of newer items as well. The gentleman that greeted me was very nice and I waited about 10 min while he finished up working with another customer.
After that he came over to me, I explained to him what I needed to get done and he wrote up a «ticket», just like the old school jewelers used too, and took my watched sized it and said to give him a few minutes. Honestly I was expecting to come back the next day and get it done as it was already past closing time but he came back and had adjusted it.
I tried the watch on it still felt a tad be loose so he removed one more link for me and it fit perfect, I would have to look back at what he charged but it was WAY more than reasonable and I always like to support the local guys.
I know there is only one review on here, and honestly I cant say for sure that «user» did not have that experience but I can only give mine and I assure you if you would like to validate mine go in and ask the gentleman for a copy of my ticket for a Kenneth cole watch with a black face Im sure he has a copy or message me directly.

I have done business with the owners of this business for over 30 years. They are the consumate professionals, with a vast knowledge of the jewelry industry. I have commissioned custom work, as well as purchasing items from the store itself. The jewelry and service have always been excellent. As to the previous reviewer, I have great difficulty believing his comments. I have seen these owners literally bend over backwards in their efforts to satisfy their cusomers. They are also proud supporters of the Allen community and schools. If you are searching for a reliable source where you can add, maintain or repair your jewelry, you could not be in better hands than with Allen Jewelers.
