Our services include: routine eye examinations, assessment for glasses, contact lens fitting, complete visual health evaluations, and treatment for injury, discomfort, or eye infections. We diagnose and assess risk factors for glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and many other eye diseases.

We offer OPTOMAP retinal testing to our patients, so there is often no need to dilate your eyes!

We are happy to release all prescriptions to our patients, so they may fill their glasses or contacts lens prescriptions wherever they choose.

We file with many vision and medical insurance plans. Give us a call and we will work with you to check coverage and benefits for your vision treatment.

History

Established in 2009.

Our original optometry office is located just south on Central Expressway in Plano, Texas. For almost 2 decades, we have taken care of our patients in the North Dallas area.

In 2009, the Villages of Allen /​Fairview opened up a large area of retail, restaurant, and services to many of our patients who live in Allen, Fairview, McKinney, and other local cities and towns.

It seemed to be a perfect fit for us to open a second office in Allen. It has been remarkable to see the growth of this area. We are so happy to be better able to provide care for our local patients more conveniently, as well as meet all of our new patients and friends here in Allen!

Dr. Niederkorn graduated from DePaul University in 1992 after receiving his bachelors degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. He attended the University of Houston College of Optometry and obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1996. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Niederkorn received his therapeutic license and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist certification.

He has practiced therapeutic optometry in Plano and Allen, Texas since 1996. Dr. Niederkorn welcomes and treats patients of all ages, and is experienced with the latest contact lens technology and medical management.

Dr. N is married to his wife Sherry, and has an 8 year old daughter named Casey, and an 20 month old daughter named Cassidy. He enjoys playing guitar, warm weather, family and friends
