Great gym, nice mix of classes and machines. I would love to see a Jacobs Ladder here. Payments are low, and I love watching the movies while I work out. Don’t expect super close parking, but hey… It’s a gym. Burn some calories walking. The staff is friendly and you could easily become a regular.

I love this gym. The people are friendly, the facilities are nice and clean, and I hate to rate them anything less than 5 stars. Unfortunately, they are housing a personal training company that has an F rating from the Better Business Bureau, lies to you to get you to sign up, trainers are not there for scheduled appointments, and then once you are dissatisfied with your service they try to charge you half of the remaining balance of your contract to cancel service with them (over $ 1000 in my case). The gym is great, but until they do something about Ultra Body Fitness, I cant change my rating.

I can not stress enough, DO NOT SIGN UP AT THIS GYM. The only thing they are good at is scamming customers. Their customer service is abysmal, inside the gym and even at the corporate level. I have had to call customer service numerous times and every time the representative has given me attitude and blamed me for all issues without trying to help resolve anything. They will charge you relentlessly and even after I sent THREE cancellation notices they gave me an incredibly hard time even sending membership fees to a debt collection company. After you pay you must then call corporate and magically they are able to cancel over the phone. If you don’t take care of it they will continually try to charge you and repeatedly send high amounts into debt collection as they explained to me. This company is all a scam, there are even news articles in Texas about how they try and take money and avoid cancelling at all costs. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE.

If I could give negative stars I would these people really think their something special. I understand sales tactics and have my own business but they throw some absolutely ridiculous sales tactics that are frankly disrespectful in so many ways at you. I would never visit this location much less sign up for a membership, at 52 reviews with 2 stars it seems like others feel the same way. Stay away!

I was calling around to see about a possible court rental. I thought of Fitness Connection because I am a current member. Jenny decided to answer the phone and I asked a simple question «Are you able to rent out the basketball court for a couple of hours». She replies with «I just had another person call and I told them no». I feel like if you’re going to be answering phones you should have a better attitude. I know to never visit this location!

This particular location is fine. However this company is AWFUL! They rip off customers and the customer service is terrible. I canceled mine and my daughters membership (knowing that they make you pay for the filling month even though you cancel) so even though I mailed in my letter apparently post makers March 20^th they charged me for April (which I was aware of) but then charged me on April 19^th ANNUAL fees for the next year even though I canceled and was no longer going to be a member. That is ridiculous. It’s bad enough you have to pay for the next month after you no longer want to go. I will tel every person I ever meet not to use this company!!!

Pros:
The facilities are nice. The staff are nice people. Very affordable monthly payments

I had a very bad billing experience with staff. They were not charging me for months, then I get a surprise with a large amount that I was not ready to pay. I was really angry! The parking is horrible. I am unable to find good parking space for at least an hour. This place is more for younger university students. A lot of adolescence in the environment, it really get’s annoying. I decided to end my membership. Now at LA Fitness.

This gym forces you to send a Certified letter through the mail just to terminate the membership. I have never seen a gym where they refuse to let you come up in person to cancel.
SUPER SHADY! I have no idea when my membership will actually be cancelled, the front desk could not tell me. I do not appreciate being told that «It’s not a big deal.»

They will try to get you on the initiation fee, try to pay the least possible, its negotiable depending on the staff (try to get free or no more than $ 20) Sometimes they have Zero down promotions. Dont waste your time seeing the gym, Negotiate the the initiation price first and get the $ 10 per month deal.
I would give this gym a higher rating but their cancellation policy is a joke, you need to send a certified letter and they will cancel within 30 days, its just a SCAM to get more money from you and delay the process.

The facility is really clean and open! There’s a women’s section with treadmills, ellipticals, and a private movie theatre. Big Bonus: half the machines are hoist and will improve your posture!

0 stars. Do not sign up for this gym, especially for UBF fitness trainers! It is a scam! You have to give them 30-​day written notice to cancel membership. Even if you only sign up for 3 months, your contract is automatically renewed without any prior notice or confirmation. Finding out a way to sue this business. The way they mislead people is not right. There should be a way to stop these thieves!

The gym is kept clean as opposed to the 24 hour fitness down the street. This location also has a cardio theater room, 2 basketball courts and 3 racquetball courts. The racquetball courts tend to be occupied 5 – 7. On some days, you’ll have to wait for players to finish up and on other days you might find all 3 courts free. I switched over to this gym from 24 hour fitness and o definitely recommend this gym over 24 HR if you primarily work out in Allen.

Feel like I’m constantly harassed by the RBF trainers they always interrupt my work out I keep telling them I’m not interested. I keep getting stopped and pressured. Facility is huge and has nice equipment. I always have to park about a block away at the Mexican restaurant.

The tv connections on the cardio equip… Half of them do not work.

Save yourself and go to another gym. They are a scam. I had cancelled back in August and just got a letter from the collection agency in the mail for $ 140. If I could give this gym 0 stars, I would

Love the gym and staff.
Their billing departments sucks. My second time having billing issues. And normally I just pay my credit card in full every month and don’t read my statements (shame on me). They have taken out payments for 6 months. Then one day told me my account is past due because my card wasn’t going through… Payed them what they said I owned. And I just went through my statements from October till Jan. and they charged my card for it. So now I’ve doubled paid. I’ll obviously call cooperate in the morning and figure it out. But annoyed it’s the second time they have done this.

This place has the worst policies and they screw their customers over! I was charged a $ 180 startup fee and $ 20 a month. Most people paid nothing to join and are paying 9.99 a month. To add to the robbery a week later i had left my wallet and they had cleaned out all my cash over $ 120 worth. My ID was missing and they wouldn’t let me workout! Stay far far away from these people!

Joined more for the price and the basketball court. But every time I went, they had the half court partition down preventing full court play. The gym has 6 hoops but on 1 court. The ceiling is low, so your high arching shots hit something. Which means changing my shot. There has never been a time I went where full court was running. Too many players waiting for just half court runs. I’d rather pay for Lifetime with multiple courts.
Cancellation is a scam. I had to cancel my card to stop being charged. Then endure weeks of collection calls. Even though I told them I sent my cancellation letter.
Weights are normal and busy
some Machines are too busy.
Tons of cardio

A big box, cookie cutter gym. Nothing distinguishing this from an LA Fitness, Planet Fitness, Gold’s Gym, etc. except for their poor business practices.
I joined before they first opened up. No sign up fee and only $ 10 a month. Sounds good.
Plenty of machines and free weights. Like I said, your standard big box gym.
But use at your own risk. Leaving them will be a nightmare. Having you cancel membership in writing only is a business practice that solely exists to rip people off. I’ve been a member at other gyms that allow you to cancel in person, over the phone, and by email. There is no reason to only allow snail mail other than to potentially trap you in a situation that forces you to pay ridiculous fees. I haven’t been a member in over a year and cancelled in writing. When I noticed charges continuing, I cancelled my bank account just to be safe.
Just a month a ago a receive a letter from a collection agency saying I owe over $ 100 in past due fees, but I was never contacted by phone or email or in writing that I still owed them money. This amount also had no itemized receipt stating what the overdue fee was for.
I wrote back disputing this amount and received a call a week later from «Lisa» at a phone number in Carrolton that now rings off the hook with no answer or a way to leave a message.
I am still currently fighting them after having left more than a year ago. If you think that’s worth it, go ahead join. Otherwise, think smart and pay more for a better gym.
