Kid To Kid of Allen

From a buying/​shopping perspective I’ve been pleased. I’ve found items I was looking for, and some extra surprises each time I’ve shopped here.
I think the prices are pretty reasonable, especially compared to buying new name brands (Gap, Janie & Jack, Hurley, etc). Yes, if you are looking at Old Navy or Target brand items here, there’s not a huge difference from just buying it brand new.
I’ve found the store clean and well organized, including the toys and shoes. Although, I think they are out growing this location and need a bigger space :)

This location is difficult to work with. The Buyer is only there a few days a week and if you come to sell something you have to leave it to be evaluated, which is another trip for a working mom with kids. The staff seems to be incompetent and rude. Almost like they are too busy packaging items for resale that you’re interrupting them.
The items you leave «go immediately on sale» so should you have a question about one of your items, it could be gone by the time you make it across town.
I have sold and bought from other fine Kid 2 Kid locations in the past– this location is not.
And according to the other ratings, I’m not the only one upset with their service!
Won’t be going back.

I have yet to try and sell items here, so I have no experience with that.
But shopping here has been a fantastic experience. The women here have always been so helpful. You should definitely use your head when buying some things as they are a bit overpriced and you could spend just a few extra dollars and go buy it brand new — like a lot of the gear. But there are some GOOD finds here, if you search. Its nice to have decently priced clothes for kids especially whey they are just going to outgrow it in a month.

I recently shopped at this location for the first time. I have shopped other kid to kid locations so I’m familiar with the layout. I purchased around 4 – 5 items and paid around $ 13. Many of the items I looked at were a bit over priced so I put them back due to the condition. My only complaint, the shoe section could be a bit organized. Overall, I do see myself coming back to buy.

Wow! I have had a whole different experience here and been going for over 4 years now! Yes, you do get less when you sell… they do have to pay rent and pay their employees, but that is more than made up for by the price of what you pay for items here! The quality is exceptional in my estimation and the way kids grow out of clothes and toys, its a wonderful place to shop! If you hang out there for about 15 minutes and listen, you will hear how many of the shoppers in there are repeat and known by the staff… a lot of us! Just wish more of the happy shoppers would get on here! And the manager, Sam… simply the best there is! She truly cares about her customers and does an amazing job! I highly recommend this business!

Enter this store only if you believe in their motto … «KID TO KID… RIPP YOU OFF IS WHAT WE DID!!!»
Buying from them… They’re extra nice. But if selling. Be prepared to have things taken out without paying you. In my book that’s STEALING !!!
I went in with around 20 items to sell. N they claimed they only took 3. so according to math I should have around 17 items… To my horror I was returned only 10. They shrugged the situation off by saying there was no way of claiming it. I made the biggest mistake of trusting them and leaving the store while they evaluated my items.

Had a TERRIBLE experience trying to sell my baby stuff. They rejected most of it and told me the baby stuff couldn’t have one spot on it… it’s used baby stuff!!! My baby equipment has been very well cared for and is in great condition but it is USED! They told me they would consider buying some of my stuff but I couldn’t leave the store and there were 2 people in front of me. I ended up taking all of my stuff back and leaving. Don’t waste your time! It’s better to sell through private consign or Facebook swap sites. I will never shop there again.

This place was HORRIBLE!!! I called ahead to sell my baby things and after I hired a sitter I drove up there only to find that «they weren’t buying anymore for the day»…it was 2:30 and they are supposed to stop buying at 5. Oh… and this happened two days in a row!!! This place works when they want to, they will shut down due to lack of motivation to work very soon. Never buying or selling from them again. Go to McKinney, way nicer and the staff is incredible!
