La Quinta Inn & Suites Allen at The Village

Stayed here for 3 nights while work was being done on our house. Same breakfast every day… nothing new… I mean same thing and very poor amounts of that. Front desk for the night shift and early morning sucks… they act as though when you need something… they move like a turtle. The room was full of stains on walls and comforter and furniture… claim they are updating… but not seeing that. My wife had to take some of the hand towels and wet them and wipe off a TON of dog hair off of the furniture and bed… NASTY. She used 7 hand towels and took them back to the front desk… he said I am sorry about that but really did not care… he is weak. She then told him the carpet was dirty and asked if we could get it vacuumed… he said no one is there right now to do that… again…weak. So she asked for a vaccum and we did it ourself. We vacummed the whole room, baseboards, furniture, bed, and even moved out the furniture that we could and vacumed behind it… it was nasty. We cleaned the room like it was our own home… even though I paid around $ 105.00 a night and this should have been done already. Light bulb was out and went to front desk thinking they would replace it but they gave me a bulb instead to do it myself… Wow… And HELL… that was the first day on check-in…it gets worse.
Sleeping that night you can hear every door around you slam as people go in and out. And the floor above is no better… you hear it all. Dog Poop in parking lot and on sidewalk… so be ready to clean your shoes.
Next day we go to work and come back to the room around 615pm… we are shocked… Housekeeping in this place is either non-​existent or SUCKS… Our room has not been cleaned at all. No toilet paper at all replaced… no Kleenex at all… bed not made… trash not emptied… No towels at all replaced… Vacuum not done at all… Basically no one even came in.
Wife went to front desk to let them know and the guy pulls out a list and says that housekeeping put down that they cleaned it… Wife said come down and look for yourself… but he did not… just said sorry about that and gave her toilet paper, Kleenex, towels… NOT… let me send someone down there to do it… again I am paying for this at a rate of $ 105 per day and I am not at Motel Hell… OR AM I…
Went to bed… very little sleep… too noisy again.
Cannot wait to check-out…will NOT be coming back here ever…
I never review… I usually just handle things and move on… but this is ridiculous.
I remember when La Quinta was a great hotel… MAYBE ITS JUST THIS ONE that stinks… maybe its all of them with bad management… who knows… who cares… I am Out !

Stains on bed sheets and refused milk refill at free breakfast !!!

Stayed here for the ncaa division 1 football game between ndsu and isu. Nice place. Breakfast was alright, nothing impressive. Elevator was broken when we arrived so we carried our luggage to the top floor.

This place was great! It’s clean and EVERYONE who works there is friendly and helpful. Denise, at the front desk was so sweet. Myself, my daughter and our two dogs (and fish) stayed at this location while we were in-​between homes waiting for our new house to be ready. They were extremely accommodating and made ALL of us feel welcome and safe :-) I will recommend this place to friends and family in the future!

Front desk personnel were friendly enough, though they didn’t tell me about breakfast or wifi (I overheard them telling someone else, so perhaps that is supposed to be enough.) I arrive car-​less and very thirsty. Unfortunately (!) all the vending machines on the premises are sold out of everything, and the front desk said there is no place within an easy walk where I could purchase a bottle of water. No, they can’t help me. So it really doesn’t matter that the room is adequately clean, that the bed is satisfactory. I am thirsty and am going to stay so for the next four hours until my ride shows up to take me to my first meeting. This costs them one full star.

Enjoyed my stay at this location. There is always someone at the from desk. The personnel are so friendly and helpful. I have stayed in other locations and they could take lessons from this location.

Some maintenance issues the ceiling paint is pealing. The breakfast is ok to get the day started but the Internet even thou it’s free sucks. The wifi signal curs in and out so if you are downloading something as simple as email may take longer then expected. Other then that it’s clean that’s all that really matters to me. Will stay again if the job requires not sure if I will stay here on a vacation thou.

Disappointed.
–Dirty carpet. Stains and furniture that obviously never gets moved in order to properly vacuum, found multiple pieces of dog kibble and clothing tags.
–Large nasty stain on the mattress.
–No trays available for breakfast. Sorry, but I don’t want to eat with the hangovers, loud talkers and some lady’s 3 bratty offspring.
–Bath towels were frayed and shabby.
–Internet is slooooow.
–You can hear every single door slam in the entire place.
The second star is based on service. I was impressed at how quickly they addressed my hvac unit (someone unplugged it). Breakfast was kept well stocked.

Great experience! Will stay again when the opportunity presents itself!

Would like to have given it 3 stars, but somehow «A-​Ok» rating just doesn’t do it for me when there is one critical flaw with this place — the Internet is mostly unusable! The WiFi signal is fine, it’s just that they have like 1 T1 Line servicing the entire building which is far too little. For anyone that requires reliable and reasonably fast Internet service, you’re simply going to have to go somewhere else — or do like I had to resort to, get a 4G LTE MiFi from Verizon, which works quite well here.
Other than that, the facilities are very clean, the morning breakfast is adequate, and the coffee is really good. There’s lots of restaurants and shopping nearby also. If the Internet was at least reliable, I probably would have given this place 4 stars.

This hotel has some issues with maintenance. Our first room had several problems: leaky window, an air conditioner that leaked water and saturated the rug in the room, room was never cleaned by staff during after our first night’s stay.
Our second room had an air conditioner that did not work.
The hotel manager comped our third night for the inconvenience. I still wouldn’t stay here even given the great price we got. The management and staff gave me the impression that they were not interested in maintaining the hotel.

Close to the 75 and appointed better than a lot of of the more expensive chains. I would stay at only la quitas nationwide if they were all as good as this one. My only reason for no five stars is the breakfast left me lacking with only the bare basics and a solitary waffle station, however they receive top marks for the coffee.
