Laura Mac Salon

I tried the salon based on reviews and got a quick appointment with Savannah. The salon is nice and decorated well, but it is. very small. I liked my cut and color and will return based on that. I thought the prices were reasonable and felt Savannah really listened to me regarding what I wanted. The shampoo station was tight but the most comfortable on my neck I’ve ever had based on a block they place in the sink. I do not know why other salons do not use this method; it really makes a big difference. The only reason I did not give five stars is that the luxury was limited. I had to sit at the front door area while my color was setting and the hairstylist had another client in the chair. Some old magazines in an entrance was not the most relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Small space, about 4 stations, 2 back to back, and a few chairs up front, and 2 sinks close together with adjoining chairs. But the hair was good, so I’ll be back!

I visited Jess on 9÷2÷15 for a color and cut. She had solutions for every color problem I gave her (cover the gray, cut down the brassy tones, leave no line between highlights and natural hair, add body, etc). I am posting a picture of her work-​look how beautifully my highlights/​lowlights blend. She is a fabulous color artist. I love the cut too. I’m sticking with this girl forever!!! Oh-​PRICE-​got it all done for the price of highlights alone at Tony and Guy (cha-​ching!)

My family was leaving for a vacation on a friday. Thursday evening I suddenly decide that I wanted a good haircut for the photos. So I did a walk-​in at Laura Mac but it was almost closing time and I left disappointed. I got a call back from them letting me know that my stylist Laura is open to coming a half hour early the next morning before the salon officially opens, just so I can get my haircut!!! I have been to pricier salons before, but NEVER have I had this kind of customer service!
The Haircut– Laura did my hair and she was fantastic! She was polite, gracious and took her time understanding what I wanted. I would end up having the same/​similar hairstyle every time I go in for a «style change» thanks to my face shape and specifications. Out of sheer boredom, I had picked a few new looks I liked from the internet and showed it to Laura. She worked around modifying the hairstyle in the picture to suit my face and the result was one of THE BEST haircuts I have had!
The After– I forgot to pack my hairstyler for the vacation and air-​dried my hair for the next few days tweaking it a bit with my fingers… to my surprise, my hair style looked about 90% as good as it was on the day I had it cut! That has NEVER happened before… usually, I need to heatset it after the first wash just so it can hold the style. I think that proves the quality of the haircut! I just found my go-​to salon!

This salon is very easy to find first of all… its behind the 7 – 11 and on the other side of a dentist office. Laura (owner) is very sweet and nice. She was able to squeeze me in for a last minute cut which was awesome bc I really needed it. There was a little problem with my base color (not her fault at all) so she had to do it over again… I didn’t mind bc I had nowhere else to go (but I was just super hungry… luckily Sonic is right here!)

I recently lost my stylist that I’ve been going to for the last 10 years or so. Laura was so friendly and it was very easy to make a last minute appointment. She made me feel welcome and the minute I sat in the chair, I felt at ease. She took some inches off and added some long layers and I love it! The location is close to my house and the interior is beautiful. So happy I’ve found a new stylist!

Savannah cut my hair and I couldn’t be happier! She gave me exactly what I had asked for with a touch of what she thought would look flattering on me. I was very nervous about trying somewhere new and going from long hair to short hair but I am so glad I found this salon!
Btw this is my first review ever which goes to show how pleased I am with my hair!

The other girls and the owner Laura are awesome too, very peaceful, relaxing hair salon .
I moved here to texas from Missouri and I usually drive back and forth to Missouri to get my hair done because it’s hard to find someone you trust and changing hair dressers, but Jess is my girl, you can trust her with your hair !

It’s never easy to find a great stylist when you move, so I am so happy my realtor gave me a good referral. Laura listens to you, asks great questions to gauge your preferences, and takes all the necessary time to make you happy. I received tons of compliments after my last cut & color!

So glad to have found this jewel of a place. Jess cuts and highlights my hair. It is hard to find someone that can style your hair better than you can yourself but she sure does. Prices are right in line with other salons and the products here are amazing. I love the products that they sell as well. Great atmosphere, you are greeted with a drink. Service is great. Can’t say enough great things about this salon. Laura has also cut my hair and I love her as well.

Seriously, you will regret not going. The shop is a little pricy but worth every penny. I’ve gotten my hair cut and my hair colored multiple times. I’ve had my hair done by everyone in the shop and they’re all wonderful. On top of their talent they are all so welcoming and so kind. My favorite of all time!

This salon had good reviews so I felt I could trust them. Wow was I ever wrong. Everyone tells me how bad it looks and who did my hair and I tell them Ms Laura Mac at Laura Mac salon. She admitted a bad job and doing it cheaply and not complete. The highlights are bleached and chunky and the color is orange underneath. Run is what I say. Run all the way. Mine is really that bad ad her haircuts even worst.

Very pleased with my hair. Jess cut and colored it, as well as cut my husbands hair. She did a wonderful job and I’m so glad I found her. I was nervous after moving out of Dallas finding another stylist that I liked, but I’m so glad I found her. Location is great, and the salon is beautiful!

The absolute best salon in Texas! Had a Brazilian Blowout this week… my hair is normally frizzy, curly, and a mess to deal with. Now sleek and smooth. Love it!

Hands down BEST salon in Allen. They are very nice, and friendly, very educated, and versatile as far as age and styles. They have fixed my hair a number of times and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the work and time they put into my hair. Im a regular here, and I always enjoy going
