Nail Lounge

Yesterday was only my second time to nail lounge by recommendation of my sister who happens to be a regular there. At first, it was great. No wait time and clean place and they offer water. Then my nail tech comes by and seems very off putting. This gentleman was not very friendly to start off and totally ignored me when I asked him a question to make small talk. So I was like «welp glad all the focus is on my nails» trying to brush it off. I ask for matte maroon, coffin shape. He’s basically done shaping up my nails when my friend’s nail tech looked over and said (in Vietnamese) «her nails are pretty.» My nail tech responds (also in viet) «no they are ugly. The shape of her nails made it hard to do.» Now mind you, I speak and understand FLUENT Vietnamese. At this point I speak up, I don’t want to let them continue bc it seemed like they were going to say more negative things so i interrupt them and say «I am Vietnamese and I understand what you’re saying.» I expect an apology at this point… but instead BOTH male nail techs said to me «no you’re not, if you understand then what did we say???» How dare you question me after you just got caught acting extremely unprofessionally. After this incident, my nail tech would not shut up to try to make up for the awful treatment I got but at that point I already felt disrespected and just wanted him to finish. Needless to say I did not tip well because he didn’t deserve a penny. PLEASE CHECK YOUR NAIL TECHS AND REMIND THEM TO BE RESPECTFUL TO EVERY CUSTOMER REGARDLESS IF YOU THINK THEY UNDERSTAND VIETNAMESE OR NOT. I should have received a discount considering he thought he did an «ugly» job. If I am paying as much as nail lounge charges to get my nails done I expect you to do your best…

Nice place! Owner Kimmie does a great job expediting walk-​ins so no one has to wait very long. Technician Ivy does a great job with my daughter (age 14). Everyone seems efficient and courteous. The salon recently moved a few doors down and they have LOTS of room to accommodate customers.

I’ve been coming here for over 3 years. I love the staff and the owners. Everyone does a great job but I’m biased to Alex. She knows exactly how I love my nails. She always makes me feel comfortable.

My nails are horrible … The guy who did them was in a rush and he was rude I spent 48 on them and they were horrible I’m so upset

I’ve been going to Nail Lounge for years and love it! The folks there are all so friendly, they do good work, the management team is attentive and takes good care of me. I enjoy the Nail Lounge atmosphere, location and team, give them a try you will love them too!

I love this place! My nail technician Nancy is the BOMB! She does the best job ever, once I sat in her chair I’ve never been to anyone else for about a year now! The salon is ALWAYS clean and inviting. The atmosphere along with the other techs is welcoming. Everyone treats you like you’re the only one!. Sure I’ll have wine with my manicure… anyday.

Love this place. Started going here a couple of months back after leaving old nail salon and every single technician I’ve had has been great. From gel manis, pedis or a simple polish change they always fit you in within a few minutes after arriving. Keep up the good work!!!

This is my go to nail place. The staff here are nice, it’s a clean environment and I love my nails when I leave!

My girls and I don’t go anywhere else for manis and pedis because even a bad experience there is better than our best at other places.
What is a bad experience there?
Well some of their staff are less than professional at times and want to charge you extra for nonsense or act surly and mean but they have such a large number of people on staff, the chances of having to deal with them twice is slim. Once we found people we liked, we made she to ask for them.
The ownership is also top notch; calm, cool and collected, they handle every situation quickly and fairly.
I would caution them on their cleanliness which can be especially hard during busy days but it can be a good business’s downfall too.

My fist visit, my nail broke the next day. I went in for a repair, and Kimberly says its free. She sat me down with Nancy, and have been going to Nancy every since! I love Nancy at Nail Lounge! She does a great job. She gets personal with you, so it always feels like a friend is doing my nails. I always get Nexgen, and cute little designs and shes wonderful at it. I have been going there for over a year. And these nexgen lasts at least 3 weeks for me. Do call for an appointment. (see pic of Holiday Nexgen nails, cute snowflake design)

I agree that this is a very nice salon that does great Nexgen nails. However, TWICE I made an appointment and they did not write it down. So, I had to wait and use s technician who did okay, but not as good as the lady I made the appointment with. I think they are understaffed on the busy weekends.

I visited the Nail Lounge for a relaxing day of manicures & pedicures. Everything was good until after my mani. I explained to the lady that my aunt was paying for my nails once we were done with everything. She insisted I pay & I explained to her once again that she would be paid but once we were done. I figured you always pay once ALL services are completed. I proceeded to get a pedi with my aunt & the lady, who did my mani, spoke in a different language to the person doing my pedi about me not paying for my nails. How would I know? Because she asked me did I get my nails done today & did I pay for them. How rude! Body language also tells a lot. Once we were done they we’re ALL paid. Will I return? No! If your business is conducted in English, speak it at all times around customers & don’t make them feel uncomfortable. I will gladly wait until I return back to my hometown for better service.
On the bright side, I love my nails & toes! Also the owner Kimmie is an amazing person I enjoyed all of the staff except the lady who did my nails.

Wow! This place is pretty cool! One of the larger nail salons with plenty of employees. I just came back from there and it was so packed! Walked in around 5pm (friday) and waited about 45 minutes. But honestly I was not mad about it because apparently they are really popular. So tried Nexgen for the first time and really love my nails! Jenny is really sweet and did a great job on them! Also loved my pedicure! They have 10% off on Mon, Tues, and Wed so I will probably come back in a couple of weeks on one of those days, though the guy doing my pedicure (he was really nice too but forgot to ask his name) said they are still pretty busy on those days too. Anyway, I might have to make this my new go-​to place after trying it out a few times to test for consistency and customer service. So far, so good. I will be back :)

My nails were prefect for a little getaway weekend. I got a nude color in nexgen which was my first time getting it and I fell in love with it. My eyebrows weren’t perfect since I got a burn on there, left a mark for a couple of days so I have to bump the star down.

I made an appointment at 11am monday morning for a mani/​pedi. The interior design of the salon is beautiful. Cool colors adorn the walls to help you relax and feel comfortable. Music is just at the right volume and the chairs are so comfortable. The experts here are so professional and kind. They take their time to help you feel relaxed and always asks you questions of whether or not they’re hurting you or if the towel is warm enough. My nails turned out perfect. Best nail salon I have ever stepped into!

This place is always great. I’m always made to feel comfortable and the girls are nice but not over-​chatty.
I’m a guy, so it’s already a bit uncomfortable coming here, so it’s nice to be seated immediately so I can close my eyes and relax.
They also always know to not give me a male working on my feet… an added plus…
I’m in the massage chair as I type, my feet are happy and so am I!!!

This is nothing personal against Nail Lounge itself but for a particular nail tech, Kathy.
I came back from my previous visit to do a refill. My nails were already the perfect shape. They just needed a small trim that’s all and a little bit of filing. I told her I wanted to keep the same shape but she pretty much ignored my request. Instead she gave me stiletto nails… which are much pointer and I didn’t even mind that BUT not all my nails were evenly shaped. In fact when I compared both of thumbs one was stiletto and one was the perfect almond. She even cut me while filing… ugh. She had no attention to detail because there was tons of powder underneath my nails and I had to remind her to clean it and she didn’t even clean it all the way! I spent more money for this refill than last time and walked out unhappy but I tried to stick it for the next few weeks. I wish I took a picture but honestly I was too embarrassed… another nail salon in Houston corrected my nails and I am happy.
I would advise anyone to avoid getting Kathy to do your full set especially if you are particular like me. This experience is hindering me from going back but we’ll see.
