History

Established in 1952.

Started in 1952 as a family business, we’ve grown ever since into the first class flooring operation we are now. While we offer the legitimate best pricing on all materials in our system, we pride ourselves in providing quality, integrity and service before, during and after the sale.

As a family business, I stated out as an installers helper, did deliveries and helped my dad whenever I could. Floor covering is in my DNA. I have been part of dealer councils for Allied Signal, Galaxy Carpet Mills, and for the past 6 years I sit on the board of the Shaw Flooring Network. My experience has shown me that slow and steady wins the race and that we always get what we pay for. At Crest you will always find a diverse assortment of products in all price categories representing what I consider to be the best in their field. I love what Crest stands for and will continue to do what I can to make us even better.

Mark Pitkoff was excellent to work with; he was interested in helping us with the best flooring choices that would meet our needs. The entire experience exceeded our expectations: there was no pressure to make choices, Mark patiently worked with us showing us a myriad of choices in hardwood and carpet. He also took the time to fully explain all of the options available to us. The installers were completely professional and were interested in providing a quality finished product.
Without reservation, we highly recommend Mark and Crest Flooring to our family and friends for quality flooring at extremely reasonable prices.

My experience has been that this is a company who prefers to work with contractors. During the sales and quoting process, they missed several deadlines that they committed to. We placed a deposit and were told someone would be out to take measurements within 48 hours — it took 96. We were told we would have a quote on the following Monday, I called on Tuesday and the quote was not for the work we reviewed with the person who came out to measure. It took another 24 + hours to get a final quote. I called in to ask what sized quarter round molding to purchase at Home Depot and the woman on the phone admitted she was guessing at her answer. I asked her to confirm that and she did — only to have the installer point out to me that they told me the wrong size.
On the flip side — the installer who put our floor in was OUTSTANDING. He was polite, efficient, clean and paid great attention to detail. He was very helpful in explaining the process, answering our questions and he left the house spotless.
Alii-​in-​all, we did get what we paid for, but if you are going to do business with Crest, I would encourage you to do your research elsewhere and definitely stay on top of the sales staff regarding promises they make.

Quality carpet for a great price! Had a great overall experience with Crest Carpet. They installed carpet in both of my sons rooms as well as flooring in a small hallway between the rooms. The installers were quick, quiet and professional. Would highly recommend.

While they have beautiful products, I will never go here again just because the staff is so rude. Every time I called and someone answered it was like I was bothering them. Rudest staff I have ever worked with. Next time I need flooring I will take my business somewhere else.

Crest installed our stairway carpeting. Quality is good, selection is good, but installation on one of the stairways has a couple of the carpet treads pushing up like a big wrinkle. Unfortunately is it quite noticeable and unexpected after just one year.

SERVICE SELECTION VALUE. Crest has a great selection of all types of flooring. I purchased hardwood floors for my top floor. I did carpet in my basement and a cork floor in my wife’s office. The sales consultant was extremely helpful and spent a lot of time to make sure we received what was best for each room. I received the best quality at a great value. Crest just finished installing the hardwood floors and and they came out perfect. Installer sometimes cut corners but not this guy. Keith installed these floors like they were for his own house.

I’ve watched Crest grow from a single-​wing warehouse to the fortress of floor covering it is today. Mountains of soft carpet, endless chambers of hardwood, and a ‘Visual Reality ’ room make walking through an adventure in and of itself.
The staff, masters of this berber and cut-​pile wonderland, are the kind of folks you can trust with a decision you’ll walk on for the next 10 years.
But the best thing about Crest Carpet isn’t in the store, it’s spread throughout the houses and business in the Lehigh Valley — Good quality floors.
