large variety of flavors. Supposedly home made, nut sure if that means its made on premises or not. Ice cream is good but not representative of what one would expect given the huge crowd i’ve always run into here. Prices are ok.

Honestly I would give this place zero stars if I could. The interior was dirty with sticky floors and clumps of dirt and hair swept into corners making one of my companions feel so nauseous she immediately returned to the car and decline to order anything(in hind sight we all should have left with her). The place was extremely over crowded which is understandable considering its location across from Dorney Park but nevertheless the lines were completely uncoordinated with people cutting in front of one another. ANDTHESTAFF! Let me tell you about the terrible service that was being used by the employees. One of my friends, who identifies herself as a plus sized woman sized 20, asked the employees if she could try a sample of the frozen yogurt to which the employee– who by the way was grotesquely overweight with seams ripped in her leggings– said«why your already fat?» Needless to say everyone was shocked and started to defend my friend and question this woman who had about 60 to 100 pounds on my friend the need to make such a rude and unprofessional thing to my friend her response as that she was related to the owner so there was nothing we could do. Not only have they completely lost my & my companions business but I hope that disgusting employee loses her job. Save your money go somewhere they actually want your business!

Headed over to Ice Cream World on the first day of nice weather. When a friend and I got there, there was quite the line. No worries, we joined the line and chatted. A group of 3 came in and apparently joined another«line». Someone said something and he rudely said there’s three lines. Clearly everyone was waiting in a line not knowing this. Instead of management or the staff saying, look there are three lines, they just served the man who rudely cut in front of everyone. My friend and I said something to the man, that it was rude that he just cut in line. He said, If you came here more often you’d know there were 3 lines. Okay, sorry I don’t come here weekly, but still someone could’ve spoke up, and he knew the people in «line #1» didn’t know better. When we got to the front of the line, we said something to the girl that it was kinda rude, and it would’ve been nice if they told the people waiting in line… She continued to say, well there are three lines. Didn’t have any concern or apology. We asked for the manager to which she said, I am the manager. She didn’t offer any apology again. We asked for her name, to which she said, I don’t give out my name. We ended up walking out. Terrible customer service. I will not return. Obviously management does not care. And to the rude man in the yellow shirt, if someone did that to you– I’m sure you’d be pissed!

I have come here a few times, this isn’t my local go to ice cream place. I go to the cup or the inside scoop in my area, but since my BFF lives in Allentown if we want ice cream we have gone here. In the past, the service was cruddy. The teenagers are unmotivated, slow and unfriendly. I get it you are a teenager, your hormones make you cranky, but with that said I worked at Weis in high school and knew how to say hello. The worst part is the manager. She is down rude and lazy. One time my friend and I came in and there was a line she stood watching everyone and didn’t pitch in to serve anyone. The second and last time I come to this dump was when there was a line out the door, but apparently in their«ice cream world» they have three lines, no one bothered to tell their patrons. They let us stand and herd like cattle, until a rude man came in and cut in front of everyone. Not did he cut in front of everyone, the teenager behind the counter saw the long line and served him while the rest of us who were there first had to wait. Look if you were going to serve that jerk, you should have announced the policy that there are three lines but you just left all your customers stand there fuming. The manager refused to address the situation and wouldn’t give out her name, she also claims to own this dirty establishment. I work in customer service first of off you don’t want any customer to leave angry because of things like Unilocal, secondly, I think the residents at a nursing home can move faster than the staff at this place and thirdly next time I want ice cream I will go to the giant and buy a half gallon for 2.50 then put up with this crap. and what’s with the hot dogs? who eats hot dogs AND ice cream. Give me a break. you are lucky dorney park is there to give you business and the rest of the places are fro-yo that how you make money not with your attitude. TIP: if you want REALLY awesome ice cream in the area, go to Premise Maid candies, the young staff was friendly and patient. The ice cream is homemade on site and so are the waffle bowls and cones. They are dipped in the chocolate made on site. In the back there is a sweet outdoors area with tables and fountains.

This used to be my favorite place for ice cream. Over the past year, they serve you less and less ice cream. You don’t get value for your money. The ice cream doesn’t even cover the cone. The girl in the purple shirt is very rude. I found a new place to go to for my ice cream treats.

Went in with a coupon that stated buy one get one sundae free. After receiving the sundaes, we were informed that it was a misprint and is not their problem. Rude management seems to be their business model. Don’t waste your time.

Very rude customer service. Asked the women behind the counter to try the mint cookie and mint chocolate chip. She didn’t move to get the samples, but instead flatly told us «the difference is one has chocolate chips and one has Oreos.» This is the second time I’ve experienced rude behavior here, we will never come again. We left and went to Cold Stone instead, which has better ice cream anyway.

Located right across from Dorney Park. They have a thousand options to choose from. The ice cream is DELICIOUS! My first time here and I absolutely love it!

Best ice cream place in the Lehigh Valley! They have a very large selection of ice cream flavors, sundaes, milkshakes and more! My family, friends, and I have frequented this joint for years and years. I used to always get the hot fudge sundae(the staff is very very very generous with the hot fudge) until my brother introduced me to Ice Cream World’s Thickshakes – milkshakes, only thicker. Now I alternate between the sundaes and the milkshakes. They also offer 8 – 10 flavors of soft-serve(I love love the black raspberry). Friendly staff, sometimes there’s a wait on busy nights – especially during the summer when Dorney Park is open. And if you’re hungry for more than ice cream, you’re in luck. Ice Cream World shares its building with a small Potts’ Hot Dogs set up. A great date place and a great family place, Ice Cream World is a win-win.

This is my favorite place to stop for ice cream whenever I travel home to Allentown. They have about a million options to choose from, with 5 – 6 large cases with different kinds of flavors, so there is truly something for everyone. This time, I got a cone of twist with rainbow sprinkles(a childhood fav!) and it did not disappoint. As a kid, I always enjoyed coming here and looking at all the ice cream cakes, picking out a scoop of ice cream, and then sitting out and watching the rides at Dorney Park across the street. As a long time visitor to this ice cream parlor, take it from me, you can’t go wrong by stopping in here.

In the passage of our party of three Pennsylvania wine tour returning to NJ, we stopped here. The customer service was Meh as the ice cream appears very blah from my friends’ intake. Since I was sobering my body and mind, I did not order any. I requested a sample of strawberry but was really Blah quality. Ergo, no further comments ado.

I don’t see what the great reviews are about. The ice cream was meh, the customer service was blah so I wasn’t in the least bit satisfied! I could’ve had better ice cream and service at a 7-eleven!

Came here during my trip to dorney for a quick treat after a day of rides. Compare to many other ice cream places I have been to, ice cream world is far better in both taste and price. I was able to get two cones with two scoops each for under $ 10 !! I got a cookie cone with a scoop of salted caramel and a scoop of strawberry shortcake. Salted caramel has a really interesting flavor, a bit salty yet it retained the sweet taste of caramel. Strawberry shortcake was decent and came with frozen strawberries and actual cake. However the cookie cone wasn’t as good as I expected. I would recommend anyother cone but the cookie cone. Overall this is a great place to get a nice dessert, they have sundaes, splits, cakes, and many other great treats. I would definitely come back here again during my next dorney trip.

It is indeed a world of ice cream. I traveled 6 miles to find this place, and it was actually OPEN until 11:00pm on a Saturday night. Hallelujah. I ordered and received a generous portion of vanilla chocolate chip and it was pretty righteous. The hunks of chocolate were kind of medium-sized, and there were a lot of them. I remember feeling kind of like I walked into an ice cream store in a Mad Max movie; the place looks a bit dated, but it’s all good. There were lots of folks there and they seemed to be enjoying themselves. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Stopped here on a business trip for a after dinner treat. I ordered Peanut Butter Fudge ice cream, with peanut butter sauce and hot fudge. First, the ice cream was bascially vanilla ice cream, with a tiny bit of pb and chocolate swirls. The teenager behind the counter said«I’m going to add some crushed peanut butter cups to this because the ice cream didnt have alot of toppings in it». I thought to myself, great! Sounds good. Then we get to the register, she actually charged me 75 cents for adding the pb cups… ANDMINDYOU, I DIDNTASKFORTHEM, SHESUGGESTEDTHEM! I thought she was hooking me up, but then charged me extra? Excuse me? I could care less about the 75 cents, its the principal. Third, I ate the sundae, the pb sauce and hot fudge were bascially non existent. Maybe a table spoon of each on the sundae. I don’t typically support chain resturants/etc, but please, I could have gotten a better sundae at a local Friendlys! And cheaper too! Also, parking was a complete bitch too! And the clientee inside was less than favorable if you know what I mean! The resturant appeared dirty, dingy and old, and unkept. There was litter on the floor and actually sprinkles that appeared to be there for a long time! Also, I guess the other side is a small diner? A small diner in a place called ICECREAMWORLD? Very bizzare! Subpar sundae, low quality ingredients, puny servings of pb sauce and hot fudge, overcharged without knowing, dirty floors and unfavorable customers? It was GHETTO and TRASHY! I was less than pleased and will not be back! I will skip ice cream world forever! Go to a local Friendlys or even a grocery store frozen section for a better customer experience! Skip this place! Not worth it!

This is one of those places that gets great reviews and I’m not sure why. The ice cream here was just ok. The staff didn’t know how to make a lot of the things which was weird to me. I’d say there are tons of choices which is great, but there is better ice cream in the valley.

Ice Cream World is a locally owned ice creamery. All the ice cream(over 100 varieties of hard and soft ice cream, frozen yogurt and Italian ice) are made on the premises. They also have quite an assortment of interesting cones to put this delicious ice cream in. Additionally, they make the best ice cream cakes around. I’m a huge ice cream fanatic and want an ice cream cake to celebrate every occasion! The only negative for the customer is that Ice Cream World is located across from Dorney Park which means at any given time in the summer it can be packed — which is good for them! If you love ice cream, you gotta try it! My favorite: chocolate peanut butter(peanut butter ice cream with fudge). I want some right now(really not unusual)!

Yes, Lord. This place has it all. One million flavors of ice cream(LITERALLY), all of which will rock your face right off. If they have it, get the tiramisu. It tastes exactly like tiramisu. Mind blown.
