I checked out several local bakeries before ordering a cake for my daughter’s college graduation luncheon. I chose Kym’s Creations after seeing a photo of a graduation cake on her website. Communicating with Kym was very easy after she gave me her personal cell and we were able to text. When we arrived at the restaurant the cake was already there and it was spectacular — more beautiful than the one on the website! It was also delicious! My daughter loved the personal touches that Kym added and everyone loved the cake. It was the highlight of our meal. I would highly recommend Kym’s Creations for any special occasion cakes!

Kyms Creations is my favorite cake baker in the entire Lehigh Valley. I adore her Tiramisu cake, it’s so rich and moist and delicious! I hope she never changes her winning formula. Even writing this review concerns me that my secret joy will become common knowledge :(

I have ordered 2 cakes with Kym and had a great experience both times. Last yr I got my daughters first bday cake and this yr her second bday cake. After setting an appt we meet with Kym to discuss theme and ideas. She offered us a cake tasting like last time to pick the many flavors that she offers. We decided on a Doc Mcstuffins two tier cake with one tier as with strawberry swirl and the other tier as vanilla with chocolate filling. The price was very reasonable and was exactly what I expected for a two tier cake. I was very anxious when I arrived to pick up cake and was so happy when I saw what Kym was able to do. The cake not only looked good it tasted good. It was gone by the end of night. I would highly recommend Kym for your next special event.

Knowing that most people only write a review when they’re displeased about something, I decided I must write a review for Kyms Creations Cakes. I want people to read an honest review not based on negative opinions. While some people are never happy, I’m shocked to see the bad reviews here.
Everything with Kim went great right from the start. I met with her to create a one of a kind cake for my daughter’s first birthday. I’m a pretty creative person and can be quite nitpicky about style, colors, etc. The theme was circus, but vintage circus not your run of the mill standard circus. Kim got it right away and knew exactly what I wanted and didn’t want. Since my husband couldn’t make the meeting, she sent me home with loads of cakes, fillings and icings to sample at home. They were all delicious. Anyone that bakes at home also knows if you want your buttercream to be white, not yellow, you don’t use butter… you use shortening. I couldn’t taste any shortening but it was pure white and absolutely delicious. Not overly sweet — no confectioner sugar aftertaste — and very light and fluffy. The cakes were all spectacular and had rich flavors without being too much. I ended up choosing 4 flavors — red velvet bottom, black bottom, vanilla Oreo and vanilla toffee crunch — plus two fillings — milk chocolate ganache and cream cheese with chocolate chips– and everyone at the party was crazy for the cake. People were talking about the flavors and deliciousness for literally an hour. That was after they stopping oohing and ahhing and taking photos of the cake itself.
Kim made me the perfect vintage circus cake — muted colors, gold accents, images of actual vintage circus clowns, elephants, etc. She even topped the cake with a carousel — it was truly amazing. It was slightly different then what we originally sooke about but I didn’t mind at all. In fact I told her that I trusted she knew what I wanted and sure enough she was spot on. The smash cake for my daughter was even delicious and made with the same amount of care even though it was just for smashing. The banana cake we chose was like a dense moist banana bread and it was so tasty my daughter loved it. The taste made me want more!
If you are considering Kyms Creations I suggest you meet with her and try her cakes to form your own opinions. These negative reviews are either false, exaggerated or possibly just outdated and from a time early in Kims career. I look forward to using Kim again in the future and can’t say enough about her business. Oh, and she’s a nice person, too. Makes it so much better when you don’t have to deal with an arrogant cake snob!!!

I agree with the Vanessa W. Kym shows a tremendous amount of enthusiasm for her business and loads of creativity for her flavors. We liked the «cake» part however, the icing wasn’t that great and it was obvious to our palates (used to mostly organic food) that something tasted off. She confirmed that she uses 2 parts Crisco to 1 part butter in the icing (not sure about the cake). Crisco? I thought that went out with the Cleavers but Kym Creations has a strong following so perhaps loads of ppl out there like the taste of hydrogenated oils. Not us! Without a doubt her cake decorating could use some refinement.
I would recommend she take some time to organize her sample book and pare down flavors for tastings — we were overwhelmed with the bursting photo album that jumped back and forth between weddings and birthdays.
She sounds like she has a huge following in the last nine years so I doubt my, and Vanessa W.‘s, reviews will make much difference in her business.

I will have to respectfully disagree with the other reviewer. Kym’s popped up quite frequently when I was at bridal shows looking for a cake place for my wedding. Her cakes were consistently okay, regardless of the flavor or the icing. They looked decent (think a step or two above your local grocery store) but that’s about all. If you’re looking for a good cake I would highly recommend Village Bake Shop. My guests were literally fighting over it at the wedding.
