Shorty’s Ice Cream & Diner

Took my grandparents here for dinner because they rave about the fish fry on Friday’s. The place is definitely a hole in the wall, and you will smell like grease when you leave, but the food was good and the place was full of loyal locals. We all three got the fried fish which was moist and pretty good. They were served with your choice of sides. I got a salad which was nothing special and homefries with plain brown gravy. I wish I would have gotten the french fries because they are cut there and looked really good. So for an all you can eat fish dinner with 2 sides, it’s about $ 9. Super cheap! For dessert they had this apple crumb warmed up with a scoop of ice cream and it was a great end to our meal for only $ 2.
If I am every in this area again, I would check Shorty’s out again and try their burger and fries. Definitely seems like an old diner you can go to for simple cheap food.
