The houseboat and cabin rentals at Mitchell Creek Marina are not only white-​glove clean, the variety fits multiple needs. Of course, family vacations are our number one priority, but we have all types of guests throughout the seasons. Fishermen. Family reunions. Corporate retreats. Small conferences. Class reunions. «Girlfriend» getaways. Honeymooners.

The full-​service marina makes it simple and comfortable for water enthusiasts at Mitchell Creek. There are more than 300 boat slips, a boat store, watercraft and accessory rentals and The Galley Restaurant serving Southern favorites at lunch and dinner everyday and breakfast on weekends. The Boutique at Mitchell Creek is a specialty shop offering name brand clothing, décor, accessories and gifts with a surprising a selection of quality merchandise. There are special events planned throughout the year that make the time at Mitchell Creek Marina even more memorable. Who could forget a lake of boats decorated for Christmas in July or dozens of children dressed as pirates seeking treasure on Kid’s Day? What about the giant movie screen for boat-​in movie nights? And nobody Rocks-​the-​Dock on July 4 like Mitchell Creek!

History

Established in 2006.

Our History Flows Through These Waters.

Livingston Boat Dock was one of the «old-​time» docks on the lake, having been around since the 1950s. In 2006, the dock was sold at auction to our late owner, Doug Smith, and Mitchell Creek Marina & Resort was born.

Dale Hollow Lake may have been formed for flood control and hydroelectric power, but a few years after its impoundment, privately owned marinas began to dot the shoreline surrounding Dale Hollow Lake, attracting families and fishermen. Livingston Boat Dock quickly became a popular hotspot, serving the area of the lake between Celina and Livingston.

Since 2006 the resort has grown to include five new docks, parking lots, as well as a complete infrastructure. We are very proud of our family-​friendly amenities, including an expansive game room, bumper boats, splash pad, volleyball courts as well as our iconic «steamboat» that houses our marina store, restaurant and the new Boutique at Mitchell Creek.

April Smith Patterson is the daughter of Mitchell Creek Marina founders, Janie Smith and the late Doug Smith. In 2006 the Smith family bought the Marina, known as Livingston Boat Dock since the 1950s, and changed its name to Mitchell Creek Marina. Since 2006 Mitchell Creek Marina & Resort has grown to include five new docks, new parking lots and a completely new infrastructure. Mitchell Creek Marina has many family-​friendly amenities, including a game room, bumper boats, splash pad, volleyball courts, a laundry, overlooks and walking trails. The full-​service Marina rents houseboats, cabins, moorage and all types of watercraft. A steamboat replica houses a marina supply store as well as The Boutique at Mitchell Creek and The Galley Restaurant. Special events that are FREE to the public are planned throughout the year, including boat-​in movies, live music on the docs, holiday celebrations, cardboard boat races & kids’ activities like Pirate Day and Princess/​Superhero Dinners.
