We worked with Kevin Mahoney when looking for a new apartment in Allston/​Brighton and had an excellent experience. He was friendly, responsive, and professional. We have had some terrible experiences with brokers in Boston and this agency was a breath of fresh air. They asked for our permission at each step in the process to make sure everything was proceeding the way we wanted. When a unit we had applied for fell through due to a change in building pet policy, Kevin and Dave (the new property manager) went above and beyond to try and find us a new place, including offering to update appliances in other units to better fit our needs. While we ended up going with a unit in the suburbs instead, I would highly recommend Kevin and Dave to anyone looking to stay in the Allston/​Brighton area.

I have worked with Dave a few times and I am extremely impressed with his dedication and customer satisfaction to his job. Not only does Dave go above and beyond but he follows up and ensures that his clients are 100% satisfied. I would totally recommend Dave for your next rental or home search or anything to do with real estate because Dave has many reliable connections for anything in real estate that you could possibly need. He prides himself on doing a job 100% and I was impressed from the moment I met him. He is determined to get you a place you will be extremely happy in and he works hard at his job. Dave will also be there through the moving process and after. Thank you Dave.

Rob assisted my roommates and I this past summer find a beautiful and newly renovated apartment. The apartment building unfortunately had a house fire and we were forced to move. Rob helped us out again by reaching out to other realtor companies to find us another beautiful apartment. He also didn’t charge us another realtor fee!

From the start, everyone at All-​Bright was extremely helpful. Rob showed us apartments that met our requests while several other comparable companies showed us places outside our requested location and/​or price range. The lease-​signing process was straight forward and has been every year since. We’ve resigned the lease 3 times, in large part because of our property manager, Kyle.
We’ve been very impressed with his responsiveness to our requests, even when we had issues that needed immediate attention late at night and on weekends. A pipe burst on a Friday night in winter. It inspected that night and it was fixed, the room repainted and a wall heater installed within 24 hours. Kyle goes above and beyond while other companies, such as RCG, with whom we have also dealt, let issues like a leaky toilet and clogged tub go on for 3 weeks. Kyle attends to matters as if he were living in the apartment himself. Overall, All-​Bright has provided us with the best Boston renting experience we’ve had and we’d highly recommend them. They are laid back, productive, efficient and very professional.

In my experience (7 years living in one of the buildings they manage) any time I had an issue with anything, they were on it. Clogged sink, or toilet or water issues, didn’t matter, someone was there within 12 hours.
I had only one issue with another tenant,(continual noise complaints and a party time fist fight!) and they addressed it directly.
For me, these guys were great. I would recommend them if you are looking for a place in the area.

Terrible employees, terrible service STAY FAR AWAY.
1. They threaten you as soon as the first of the month passes. They’ll state they’re going to start the eviction process.
2. The management duties they provide will rarely be done. For instance, our lawn is supposed to be mowed and driveway plowed. This past summer our lawn went at least a month and a half in between mowings.
3. Housing code requirements our apartment fails to meet which we have notified the management company about have still not been fixed. We’ve been living there for two years.
They may sweet talk you in, but once they have your money and your signature they’ll forget you ever existed, except for when rent rolls around.

My three roommates and I worked with Robert to get our newly renovated apartment on Murdock St. in Brighton in May 2014. Robert was great– very responsive at all hours of the day. He also helped us negotiate the rent price.
Three months later, in August of 2014 we called Robert when we became homeless after a fire overtook our building. Robert and All-​Bright Realty graciously agreed to help us find a new apartment, free of charge.
Robert took 2 full days to show us over 10 apartments even though he wasn’t making any money from us. It was late in the game since September 1 was approaching. We fell in love with a townhouse and put in an offer. We were very anxious because of what had happened with our apartment and being homeless, and Robert was extremely understanding. He stayed on top of the other realtor involved to make sure that we got a timely answer on the townhouse. We move in in a few days. Thank you Robert!

I recently found an apartment in Allston through All-​Bright and I could not be happier with not only the ease of the process, but also the realtor that I worked with (Zach Albert). As an incoming graduate student, I had some pretty specific preferences for an area that I was completely unfamiliar with when looking for an apartment. Zach was able to show me exactly what I was looking for (and within my budget!). He was personable and clearly knowledgable of his surroundings and his line of work. I am so grateful to have found All-​Bright and would confidently encourage others to seek them out for any realty needs.

I was looking for a place in a hurry for July 1^st, which is a tough time to move in Boston. I found a place on craigslist and got a prompt and friendly response from Zach Albert. He managed to get me in to see it before I left for vacation and kept me in the loop the whole time I was gone. Zach worked with me to make my application the best of the bunch and I got the apartment and have already moved in! He was up front and honest about the whole process. I did not feel lied to or duped in any way and he even helped me contact the previous tenant to answer questions and calm any concerns I had. All of the guys in the office were super friendly every time I went in.
I’ve rented from AllBright in the past and definitely understand where most of the other reviewers are coming from, but I have to say, I’m very happy I gave them another chance. Things have definitely changed and the current staff seems to be what you would hope for in a realtor.

All-​Bright Realty sold my house in JP for me; we had a signed offer before the open house and it was above the asking price. I know a few people that work here; they are stand up guys that have Brighton/​Allston market wired. If you are looking to rent or buy in this area, these guys know the market well.

This place is the worst. For starters I called several times to make an appointment with one of there agents and he kept blowing me off. Then when he finally made the appointment he was 45 minutes late. And the apartment was rented. He tried to show me apartments that were way more money and crappier then the one that I had called about. They are the worst! Stay away.

Awful. They waste your time by not calling you ahead of time if all of the properties they had lined up for you got rented. If you value your time, go anywhere else.

Our apartment is being shown by the company… They have been posting photos of our bedrooms they were asked not to post, and then today, when showing the apartment, brought about 8 people and made themselves at home on our living room couches for at least 15 minutes. We have tried to be as accommodating as possible in this process, but this company is showing no respect for our privacy.

I recently interacted with All-​Bright when I looked to rent one of their apartments. What proceeded was a bizarre and inconvenient experience.
After sending a Boston-​based friend and family member to look at some apartments and report back (while we were living in Philly), we decided on one of All-Bright’s apartments. We had a family member drop-​off a deposit check that day and started to send in the various documents requested. After sending all the documents, I was told that I had to be physically present at the apartment before I was given the lease to sign. Apparently having family see it, viewing their photos, having perfect references and giving a deposit was not enough. I had to travel 6 hours from Philly to Boston, to poke my head into an apartment that I’d seen through photos, say «yes» and then make a 6-​hour trip back. I tried to argue that my atoms did not need to be within the apartment’s walls, but I got no where.
I wanted the apartment, so I rearranged my schedule and booked a day-​return Boltbus ticket to Boston so I could stand in the apartment for 10 seconds. A day later, they called. Apparently, despite depositing our check, requesting our documents and having me buy bus tickets, the owner decided that he wanted to go with someone else. Why? I was never told. He just felt like it. And that was it. In fairness, they were apologetic, but when you add this to the many bad reviews on Unilocal,you start to wonder how often this kind of thing happens.
Oh, and as for the money — after some pestering, they returned the deposit but (despite me sending many e-​mails), they never refunded that bus trip and didn’t reply to a single e-​mail. A strange company.

We were in a bind finding a new apartment that would allow dogs after my roommate and I graduated in May. We were interested in an apartment but were having trouble coming up with the first month’s rent, last month’s rent, security deposit, and realtor’s fee by the move in date. Kyle Cabral was our realtor and did some negotiating with the property owner to get the last month’s rent waived. Now this probably isn’t typical and depends on how lenient the property owner is, but they at least stood up for us and ended up saving myself and my roommates 2000 $.

I lived in Boston for 6 years and this was the worst, most difficult, realtor company I worked with. I moved every year because of being a student and then different jobs so I have lots of experience with different realtors.
Kyle is the «manager» but do NOT believe a word he says. He will lie or manipulate a situation to his own benefit. He would give me and my roommate completely different answers for the same, very basic question. We began saving all correspondence to have proof of his absurdity. Make sure to get everything in writing and do NOT trust anything out of Kyle’s mouth. James his co-​manager seemed much more trustworthy and eventually I refused to work with Kyle.
In addition to being a shady, slimy, awful realtor, Kyle attempted to have me pay 2 months of rent to break my contract. I had originally signed up for 2 years but because of such a bad experience I wanted to move. He originally said it was 1 month but then over e-​mail threatened that if I was unable to find a replacement I would have to pay an additional months rent for a realtor fee… Seeing as this is his full-​time job you would assume he would not try to take advantage of his clients. Thankfully my father is a lawyer and took over the situation.
They also lost 3 different checks we gave them… The paid parking spot my roommate had was unusable in the winter due to snow falling. The plowman would plow the snow INTO her spot. We spent 3+ hours digging out the spot, working through snow and ice. Kyle, as usual, was unreachable and useless. I loved my apartment and was frustrated to have to move…

Absolutely livid at the way they responded to my roommate who is a 3 tour veteran of Iraq. We stopped by to re-​sign our lease after renting an apartment from them for 3 years. He said that after showing our apartment a couple times to get the property appraised he got «bad vibes» from our roommate (the veteran), and felt he was hostile. First off, I was there one of these times and Kyle had started walking in to our apartment before identifying himself so my roommate was understandably defensive. Kyle told us that he gave ample notice they were stopping by, but my roommate had just forgotten one time and missed my message another. When we told him about this, and that he should really be contacting everyone on the lease instead of just me, he responded «Its not my fault if you guys don’t communicated and I really don’t want you guys renewing the lease» and was unwilling to work with us or hear him out. So Kyle walks into our apartment without identifying himself, gets «bad vibes» from a veteran barring his way into our home until he answers who he is, and then refuses to resign because of that. Way to treat your servicemen, Kyle.
In addition to this incident there was also a pile of broken furniture from the previous tennants left on both our front and back porch, some of which STILL hasn’t been removed. When we moved in the place was disgusting and still had someone in the process of moving out, even though we were told they would be gone by the prior night.
All in all a disrespectful, unprofessional, and disgusting experience.

All of their listings that say pet friendly are not. Every single inquiry on an apt which states dogs ok… I call or email and then get shot down. I did get to see a few places with one of their brokers. But he was in a hurry and basically rushed me.
All of these realty companies in this area are not worth wasting your time with. And then to think you have to pay these morons a one month fee… F that!

All Bright Realty is fantastic! I’ve used them for 2 apartments now and I would never go elsewhere. The staff is always available and helpful. I’ve gave my list of must haves and they’ve always done their best to find just the right apartment for me. They don’t make you sign those stupid non-​compete waivers like other agencies.
I was reading the reviews from others and was shocked. Especially about the one claiming that Kyle, the property manager, was condescending and rude and then she goes on to call him a horribly immature name… just goes to show the quality of the reviewer.
I’ve never had anything but great experiences with Kyle (or anyone else I’ve worked with). He has always been available to help me with any issue or question with my apartments. Even on weekends when he was just on call, he would always call me back right away if he was unable to answer at first. Living in the city you are bound to have issues arise and I was always happy with how they were resolved thanks to Kyle’s help. He even worked as my Realtor for the first apartment and was never once was unprofessional or rude. It took me ten apartments until I found one that had everything I needed and not once throughout that process did I feel slighted by Kyle.
That all being said, I’ve been with All Bright for 5 years now and love them! I think that speaks volumes when compared to the ranting of others… you decide.

If i could give them negative stars i totally would.
Do yourself a favor and do not step foot into their offices.
I have dealt with my fair share of real estate companies in the allston\brighton area, and AllBright is by far the worst (Pheonix is a close second).
From the moment we signed the lease with them everything that could go wrong, did.
They are liars that will do anything to get you to sign a lease with them and everything to avoid having to fix or deal with any problems.
Kyle, the logistics guy is down right rude and treats his tenants like dirt.
To make a long story short– i am counting down the days until i am able to put this horrible agency behind me.
