While the location is convenient, I found the service at the self-​storage facility abysmal. The blond man behind the counter was extremely rude and disrespectful. When I asked for a copy of the cargo van rental policy, he cursed at me and said he didn’t have to (profanity) give it to me. He also proceeded to curse at my friend who was accompanying me. He was clearly looking for a fight. I hope that when his boss reads this review, s/​he watches the security footage so she can take immediate action and fire this pathetic member of his/​her team. Until this individual is fired, I would NOT rent from this facility. Reprimand would not be enough, since cursing at customers is never acceptable. If he remains at the facility, it would indicate that the customers aren’t worthy of enough respect to view a policy without being harassed.

Soooo impressed with this place, three ways — with the best saved for last:
1. They’re priced a bit under the market for the area. 5×9×4.5 is about $ 70 /​month; 5×9×9 is about $ 100.
2. The staff are uniformly nice, helpful ppl w/​3 digit IQs. (That is a BIG change from both the other self-​storage places I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the years.)
3. This is the big one:
they’ll let you use their Econoline van for a couple of hours as a freebie «rental» (subject to availability) on your moving-​day. (You do have to bring it back w/​$ 18 worth of gas in it. But it took only $ 5 to top off the tank after my use, so if you’re not going far, it’s a lot less.)
With Budget RentACar asking over $ 120 for a one-​day rental of the same size van, I basically got paid $ 50 for getting to use the van for free, along with my one-​month storage-​unit rental.

Wedged between a liquor store and apartment buildings, this place has an excellent location if you’re moving to or from Allston. Decent, clean storage units, with a covered loading dock. The attendant is rather brusque but on the ball and organized. He was helpful, and my moving experiences there went smoothly.
I was less keen on were the fact that there is very little parking, and backing in a truck or car to load or unload your stuff is highly difficult, but it kind of comes with the area. Remember to bring your own lock and tape. The ones they sell are, of course, ridiculously overpriced.

This is the best storage facility in the area. The place is kept immaculate, it’s safe, there is always a friendly employee willing to help, and they offer a free van to help move your stuff in! that came in very handy!
