No complaints from this place. I love getting the different colored mochi but from what the worker there said, it’s the same taste but different colors. There’s such a variety of flavors and toppings I can’t even pick the one I want. I might just take a bunch of sampling cups and try all of them. The popping boba is also a great addition, it’s pretty fun to eat. Love this place to death, the first frozen yogurt place I’ve been to.

I’m still waiting for the great Yogurt Store wave of 2014(3?) bubble to burst, but so far Mixx is one of my favorites. I don’t think it’s a chain, but it has a pretty good selection, and the toppings are excellent, with lots of mochi and exploding boba. Not as flashy as Orange Leaf and the other one, but it gets the job done.

This is my favorite place to get frozen yogurt. I’m unfaithful and cheat on this place for others like pinkberry and red mango, but always end back at mixx. It is so good. the yogurt flavors are all not too tart and not too sweet.
There are so many toppings that I feel like I just get a giant cup for the toppings. This place has lychee and taro flavor and those two are the main reasons that I am going to forever be faithful to mixx!

$ 0.52/oz. FIFTY-​TWO CENTS. Damn man. Back in 2012 it was $ 0.39/oz and it was hopping. Nowadays the flavors aren’t filled across the machines and the next week flavor board looks pretty lackluster. Customers came in and out but it just wasn’t the same intense froyo/​music bouncing experience. I’m glad they still had taro as a consistent flavor. A new flavor for me was mint oreo cookie and it tasted like a thin mint. Still good in terms of quality of product, but I guess the froyo phase has gone overboard, plus it’s more expensive now. I just hope it doesn’t become the equivalent of store bought ice cream expensive.
I went late at night so I didn’t get to see the nice little old lady who is always chopping fruits in the back either. They take card now, so that’s a prayer answered in the name of froyo.

One of my favorite froyo places! First off, I’m always a fan of self serve. Usually more flavor choices, and you can get however much you want. They always change up their flavors here, but I always make sure to get the lychee flavor. It’s so refreshing! The strawberry lemonade flavor is great too. I’m a fan of the fruit toppings, and they’re always very fresh.

Their fro-​yo? Yum. Nice and creamy not icy.
Selection? Ehhh not the biggest but enough.
Toppings? The ONLY place that has coconut jelly and fruit jelly (you know the same stuff from Asian desserts).
I really like their squishy seating and colorful spoon assortment too. It’s the little things in life okay?

Nice selection of flavors, but I’m not fond of the texture of the froyo. It just seems very watery, which makes it melt really quickly. It’s has a charming atmosphere with the cute and bright-​colored décor.

I’m normally not a fan of serve yourself frozen yogurt, something always breaks. But they had staff there to help when it happened to me – I didn’t break it! It was out! I swear!
So many options for flavors and toppings. Maybe too many sauces – who’s going to pick herseys when you can have ghirardelli?

I’ve had 4 years to reflect on my previous experiences.
DIY frozen yogurt. Almond and lychee are my favorite flavors. Just not together. The staff is helpful in getting you samples just like any ice cream shop or froyo place.
I’ve been coming here since this place opened. At the height of the froyo craze, Boston was just coming on board, and Mixx definitely stayed on top of that game.
They still have solid flavors that rotate, but they haven’t expanded the flavor line up. They’ve also raised their price about 25% since they opened. I’m not sure if it’s rent prices or they just think it’s summer and people don’t care, but froyo at 50+ cent per ounce is pretty high in my opinion.

Love the taro froyo here! With mochi too. but don’t get the flavored ones, they’re a bit dry. The plain is more fresh and chewy. They need to open more stores!

–No one was at the counter all the way until I was done applying the last of my toppings then a dude slips out from the back room.
–The interior is devoid of air conditioning, making it hotter inside than out.
–Perhaps the biggest irk was the watery/​melty nature of the fro-​yo. I’ve never had this experience at the Allston location. Just pushing down on the lever and seeing the fro-​yo coming out– the surface of the goop was consistently in a melting state.

A nice froyo place right by Fenway Park! My friend and I came here really late at night with a sweet craving. this froyo place is located right next door to a nightclub so you can hear the music next door the whole time.

Not usually a fan of DIY froyo, but Mixx does a pretty good job of creating the right balance of things to make it work.
I really like that Mixx doesn’t have a billion options to choose from. They have maybe half the flavors of other chains at a single time. But what they give you is always high quality. Their toppings area is also very clean and presentable.
The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I like the fact that they have lychee froyo and toppings. Great combo to get both! The place also has great seating for groups.

The flavors of the frozen yogurt are really spot on… I think the quality is great compared to other frozen yogurt places that have artificial tasting flavors. The only thin is that I wish their froyo had a little bit more of a creamy texture. I know it isn’t ice cream, but sometimes it tastes kind of icy (if that makes any sense).
I took away one star because they keep raising the prices every time I go! When we first went it was like 32 cents an ounce, and now it is 52 cents an ounce.
My gripe though is that in the winter, this place does not turn on the heat! It’s like an igloo in there and my sister and I have boycotted it until it gets warmer out.

This place has the most extensive array of toppings on the toppings bar. My favorite, the mochi, has over 3 flavors!!! I’m drooling just thinking about it. The actual froyo is pretty good, I still personally prefer pinkberry’s original to mixx’s. However, this place is much cheaper as they charge by the weight. I mainly go just for the toppings. The location is a bit far from the center of Boston, but mixx is surrounded by a bunch of restaurants. So plan a night out here for dinner at one of the local joints and head over to mixx for dessert.

My friend and I came here a couple of nights ago, after dinner at Rod Dee over at Fenway. It was already getting late but we didn’t care so we stayed there until amost midnight and they close at 11pm. The young man there (only person left) was very helpful and friendly. He gave us a couple of samples and while we were eating, he was cleaning up the tables and floor. He told us not to worry about leaving and leave when we’re ready to. It was nice to feel not having to rush after a late dinner and late night snacks.
I love the options here, compared to other places. There were about 14 different flavors going. I had taro, green tea, and a couple of others with a number of topics. The mango here is actually RIPE compared to Pinkberry’s hard bitter mango.
I love the fact that it’s weight based so you pay for what you eat. There are times when i just want a little bit and don’t care to pay $ 6!
My friend and I are both fans!
