Whether we’re hosting a family reunion, corporate retreat, fishing clubs, or an individual family we strive to make this an enjoyable and memorable trip for the whole gang!

History

Established in 1957.

This area was originally homesteaded as a fishing camp and stop over for miners carrying ore to the train in Almont. In 1956 Walter Jay «Bud» Harmel purchased the land and its few buildings. He opened for business in 1957 as a dude ranch called Harmel’s Ranch Resort. He and his wife ran the business for a few years and then his daughter, Jody Harmel Roberts, purchased it from him. She and her husband Bill ran it for years and later gave it to their sons, Brad and Steve. The brothers own and operate the business today.
