Sanitary Maintenance Solutions, or SMS, specializes in cleaning practices for your home or offices, utilizing eco-​friendly products and practices making our cleaning process safe for you, your kids, your pets, and the environment. Yet, we do so much more than your average house or office cleaning company. We also professionally clean carpets of all types, upholstery of all types, leather, partitions, mattresses and more. We can treat your specialty stains and treat for pet urine accidents too, using our blacklight system and moisture meters to locate the affected areas. We also can treat for odors as well.

We can customize a schedule for your needs, whether it be several times per week, once per week, bi-​weekly, monthly, or on call. With over 25 years of combined experience, you can be confident in recieving the best possible service available.

History

Established in 2009.

Officially Sanitary Maintenance Solutions was launched in 2009. We are a family owned business. Even though SMS is a fairly recent venture, decades of experience owning and operating another company in the Eugene area in the professional cleaning industry, including carpet and upholstery cleaning, pet damage treatment, carpet repair, leather cleaning, residential and commercial cleaning, and window cleaning have been brought to the table to form an outstanding, full service company committed to providing the highest quality service available. Our personal backgrounds also include previously being certified by the IICRC as a Master Textile Cleaner (this requires being certified in about 10 different areas of textile cleaning, maintenance and odor control).

We have always strived to acquire the best equipment available for the work that we do, as well as premium cleaning agents, reinforcing our committment to providing you with the best results possible.

This family business is run by myself and my husband. As stated earlier, between the two of us, we have over 25 years combined experience in the cleaning industry. This includes working for other janitorial companies and carpet cleaning companies in Ogden, Utah, Eugene, Oregon, and Portland, OR. My husband also owned and operated a very successful full service carpet cleaning company in Eugene for almost 20 years.

This is more of an office janitorial service than a house cleaning service. They brought unknown men to our house to clean (one in a cast; one on crutches). Paid $ 150 for 45 minutes of «cleaning,». We used them for a few months and had to text for follow ups. Not thorough. Broke things (a vase and a figurine) in our house. Left rugs and dog beds up on chairs and couches. They *might* good for an occasional clean but not for regular cleaning.

SMS did an exceptional job on my mother’s house. She had lived there nearly 60 years and needed to go into assisted living so the house had not had an extensive cleaning in many years. Dana was quick to respond to my phone call. Made arrangements for an appointment to give an estimate and prepared a reasonable bid. He was friendly, professional, and explained all the areas they would clean. Dana and his crew showed up on time and did an amazing job cleaning all aspects of the house. From spotless appliances, to windows, sparkling bathrooms and clean carpets, the house looked better than ever when they finished. I give them my highest recommendation and will hire them in the future for any cleaning projects I have.

I have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities. Synthetic cleaning products, mold, and dust a like make me sick. This means that if I don’t stay on top of every last service of my own home (and common, who wants to spend their life focused on cleaning their house when there are businesses to run and adventures to be had? Even cooking gourmet dinners is more appealing in my book) I get migraines and feel drained of energy. LaVonne and Dana have rescued me from a cycle of ill health with compassionate thorough care. They use eco friendly products that are gentle yet effective. In my home, they even forgo a few of these cleaners and apply extra elbow grease to make sure I don’t get left with anything that will expose me/​cause a headache. IT IS SUCH A GIFT TO HAVE PROFESSIONAL CLEANERS I CAN TRUST and who work their magic on a consistent basis for me, keeping my home a place I can consider a sanctuary that supports my health.
Dana has also WORKED HIS MAGIC ON MY CAR! I was stunned by the phenomenal results Dana got putting some elbow grease into treating the interior of my leather upholstered 97 Volvo. I had not been well cared for by the previous owners. A bit gunky and definitely grimy, with lots of cracking in the leather. Dana transformed it into soft and smooth, something to take pride in :)

I finally had a chance to use SMS’s carpet cleaning services. WOW! My carpet had some serious dirt from a dog and a child and various messes and I was considering replacing it before selling my home. Instead, I remembered Dana saying he could get it clean, so I decided to give it a shot. I was shocked when I came home that evening! It looked like new. They took care of moving some smaller items of furniture and an area rug, put protectors under the feet of my furniture and left cool fans to help it dry faster. The stains haven’t returned, as they seem to with other cleaning services. That dirt is GONE (and the house is sold!) Stellar work with quality environmentally friendly products at an affordable price.

Sent an email with the details of what I needed done for a home cleaning– they weren’t interested in giving a quote without an in home consultation… Seriously!?! I gave the area, finishes, and exactly the services I wanted — this is not rocket science!
I’d much rather get a padded estimate than have to take two separate days off work to get my place cleaned. Not worth the hassle.

My husband and I needed a move in cleaning service and carpet cleaning service for the house that we just bought. The house was filthy since it was bank owned.
Lavonne and Dana got us in their tight schedule with such a short notice. We really appreciate that since our moving date was only 1 week away when I first contacted them.
They did an amazing job! I didn’t even know our shower glass was clear one since I thought it was colored purposely. hehe. Even though I have really bad eye sight I should have known it was colored because of mildew. Ewww.
The carpet cleaning was so impressive. I was curious since I’m a first-​time home owner and I’ve never had the experience, so I observed the process. They explained me what’s going on step by step. It was very interesting to see. Oh man, the carpet cleaning waste water Dana showed me was disgusting! I couldn’t believe the carpet had that much dirt on it. Thanks to their hard work, the carpet’s color is so much lighter now. I feel so much cleaner and we are so ready to move in this Friday!

I am super impressed! I have had other individuals and companies come into my home to clean for me in the past, but I have never really stuck with anyone because I’ve never really been WOWed before. I was WOWed yesterday by SMS!!!
Lavonne and Dana arrived promptly on time and proceded to work miracles in all parts of my house. Stains and scratches in my toilet (from a plumbing snake) that I thought were permanent were erased! All of my light fixtures were not only dusted, but bathed, dried, and carefully replaced. My kitchen has never looked so good, not even when we first bought the house!
Their fine attention to detail is way above and beyond the call of duty. I had originally planned to have them do a one-​time cleaning to give my house a «tune-​up», but after this experience my husband and I are seriously looking at our budget trying to figure out what we can give up so that we can have Lavonne and Dana come back once a month.
They are also genuinely pleasant people to be around and didn’t mind my kids bothering them with questions and curiosity. I can’t recommend SMS highly enough!

SMS cleaning have been in my home 6 different times, and each visit was great. I love a clean home, but due to arthritis, it is difficult for me to do what I call a «deep» cleaning. LaVonne & Dana did just that, really deep cleaning of my bathroom and kitchen. Their last visit was to spend almost all day cleaning my husband’s «man cave» because I couldn’t stand to be there anymore! We have fabric on the walls for surround sound, heavy draperies, thick carpet and leather furniture. Everything just sparkles, and we had friends for Super Bowl and I wasn’t worried that someone might get ill. They are wonderful and I highly recommend them for your home or business. Nancy T

I just had a 3 hour cleaning from SMS this morning and I HAD to write a review. I purchased 3 hours of cleaning through SharingSpree and I assumed that in 3 hours I would just get a good surface cleaning of my bathroom and kitchen. I was wrong! They did an amazing job. I am embarrassed to say that in the 5 years I have lived in my apartment, my shower has never received a «deep clean,» just weekly touch-​ups. He spent an hour and a half on my small bathroom and worked wonders. Every surface was scrubbed and he even cleaned my light fixture. My kitchen was also thoroughly cleaned, even the inside of the microwave. I can only imagine what they would do if they came on a regular basis! They have an awesome referral program and were very professional and friendly. They even walked me through everything they did when they were done. I wish they could come every week, but I might have to settle for once every couple of months. And did I mention that they are eco-​friendly? Plus plus plus!

I recently purchases 3 hours of cleaning on Sharing spree and their service blew me away! My tubs look brand new and my floors are sparkling! They give great discounts if you refer a friend and they even wrote up a little «report-​card» for me letting me know what all they were able to do in the 3 hours and what still needed to be done. They showed up right on time and even called a few minutes prior to confirm their arrival. I would highly recommend them to clean your home!
