After about 1 hour of waiting, they got me started, sat on chair, discussed about how I wanted my haircut. Then, ohh the barber had to take somebody else, and they want me to get back in line and wait again.
Guess what, y’all lost a regular customer. Such an embarrassment.

The entire crew is awesome and Sam is the man! If you want a treat, spring for the haircut AND hot shave!

I have been coming here for years. Today when I was checking out I was referred to a paper sign saying you no longer take Amex. That’s unfortunate you Jane lost a long term customer.

Love Alpharetta Barber Shop. Convenient to get to if you’re in Alpharetta/​Milton and they do a great job. I’ve had my hair cut by a few folks there, but have started scheduling with Choman regularly and he does an awesome job. Easy scheduling on their site makes it even better so you’re not waiting in a long line for an open chair. Check this place out for sure if you need a new barber.

I was spending a couple of nights in the area, had a free night and needed a haircut. I saw this place on the Unilocal app and was incredibly intrigued by the ridiculously high reviews. I’m pretty particular about getting my hair cut so I was still a little unsure. But, I do feel as if barber shops/men’s hair salons have gotten better, in general, recently. I called around 6 to see if they could take me before they closed at 7. The girl who answered the phone said no problem so I took a ride over.
When I entered, I saw a number of guys waiting to get their hair cut. At first, I was slightly annoyed but I soon realized they had appointments and were simply waiting for their preferred barber. As an FYI, this place takes walk-​ins as that’s what I did. I signed in at the desk and within a couple of minutes, my barber was calling me over to get my haircut.
Also, this barber shop is incredibly cool looking inside. It’s totally high end but with an old school feel to it, if that makes any sense. And they do shaves so you know they’re legit.
The woman that cut my hair paid close to attention to what I asked for and she did a really good job. It was definitely on par with my normal barber shop in NJ so that was nice. There is nothing worse than getting a bad haircut and just sitting in the chair not pleased. This was simply not the case. She took her time, paid attention to detail and I ended up with a great cut. They also shave your neck and sideburns with a straight razor which I really enjoy. The warm shaving cream always feels great.
The cut was $ 20 (before tip) which is less than I pay in NJ so that was cool, too. They do take credit cards which is nice and convenient. I would have absolutely no problem coming back here. They do a really good job and they treat you well. You can’t beat a place like this.

Best barber shop in Atlanta, hands downs. Just came from there looking like a new man. Great atmosphere, friendly barbers, and sports on the TVs. You get the whole experience there. Straight razor, shave cream, old time cologne, and hot towels.

Good place to get a cut, not very organized on the opening, do use the appointment system. Price is not bad, don’t be in a rush, the staff likes to chit chat with each other while cutting your hair.

I had a good experience with Alpharetta Barbershop. Choman was able to understand my requests. He did his job outstandingly. I made an appointment online before I came. The process was easy and fast. I recommend Alpharetta Barbershop.

My first experience here was excellent. I didn’t have an appointment and walked in on my lunch break. The staff was incredibly professional, and Choman gave me an outstanding hair cut. I decided on a shave and while he already had an appointment, one of the other staff, Troy, was available and gave me a very relaxing and excellent hot shave. Everything about this establishment is top notch, yet the prices are affordable. I’ll be coming back as a regular. Top recommended!

Choman is the man. I’ve been going here for a little over a year, and I absolutely can not see anybody else cutting my hair. The amount of professionalism from this place and the way they treat their customers is great.
Also — you can schedule your haircuts online, so I will always know if my barber is in or not! That in itself makes this the best barber I’ve ever been to.

ABS is a real men’s barber shop. Hot shaves. Haircuts ($ 20). Beard trim ($ 6). Friendly and attentive barbers.
Make an appointment to save some wait time. This is a solid choice, and cut above Supercuts or GreatClips style shops.
The only downside is the parking lot which can get tight on busy weekends and holidays.

Been coming here for 3 years with no problems. But today I had an appointment for 6PM and was 5 minutes late. My barber had just started cutting someone’s hair. No big deal I can wait. But then he takes someone else before me! Why have a schedule? And what does that guys sitting by the cash register actually do? I bet I don’t even get offered a discount — did not get offered another barber!
Multiple apologies from my barber and all is well. And another great haircut.

When we moved to Milton one of the initial things I was concerned about (oddly enough) was where the boys would get their hair cut. Those of you with teenage boys probably understand that a 15 year old boy is most likely to be your toughest critic when it comes to their hair! Since he isn’t on Unilocal,I’ll submit the review he would… «Yeah, Kia is the bomb»!
Haha! Kia and the barbers deserve a much better review than that! But that is high praise coming from a teenager in reference to his hair… one of his most prized possessions! Ha!
Know this, I was threatened, by said 15 year old young man, that if his hair was ruined, it was going to be my fault! Thankfully, Kia used his «golden» scissors and was able to «cut yet another level of trust» between my son and I! Thank You! It is nice, as a mom, to get the nod of approval from your teenager that I did ok! Which in mature adult verbiage is awesome!
Kia always greets my boys with a smile and a handshake. Asks what they want and then delivers perfectly every time. When we first moved here, our oldest had that super cute long guy cut (the kind that a grown man swoons over because of all the gorgeous locks flowing! I can say this because my husband is folicly (is that a word!?) challenged… meaning he is bald. He would prefer to say he chooses to be that way because he shaves his head.)!
Anyway. Back to Kia. Over the past four months, he has given us back our boys beautiful brown eyes! I jokingly asked Kia last week if he ever dreamed when Chris first came in, that he would be giving him the cut is is now. It is a gorgeous short cut that compliments his face perfectly. And best of all, he loves his hair now too!
Our youngest goes here as well. The men are always so kind to him and treat him just like a shorter version of their grown up clients! Thanks guys!
I would highly recommend going here. The price is just right, $ 20 for a cut! It is also quite beautiful inside and always clean. There are plenty of comfortable chairs to sit in while you wait. We always make an appointment with Kia, so they never have to wait (but I get to sit comfortably as they get their hair cut!!). One time we went off the cuff and only had to wait maybe 5 minutes. I know Saturdays can be busy, but if you make an appointment, you won’t have to wait!

Sometimes a dude’s gotta be a dude, and a true barber shop – that offers hot shaves – is a terrific place to be a dude.
I tried ABS shortly after I relocated to OTP Atlanta, and have gotten a dynamite cut everytime I’ve gone. Ben (Behzad) is my usual barber. If Ben is out of town, I ask for Kia. Both these guys do exceptional work, even on hard-​to-​cut hair like mine. Super straight, fine… thinning (dangit). Very easy to screw up. They’ve done a great job every time.
ABS is such an enjoyable experience, I take Biotin to make my hair grow faster so I can go back sooner.
Tip #1: make an appointment, it’s an extra $ 2, and to get in with the really popular cutters, it’s worth it.
Tip #2: if you’ve never had a barber shop hot shave, you gotta try it… at least once.

When it comes to men’s barbershops, this place is where it’s at.
The introduction
I went in during a weekday evening around 5:00pm and this place was hopping. I signed in and was assigned to ‘Sam’. Sam was one of 6 – 7 barbers working at the time. Sam was friendly, patient, and experienced: Everything I like in a good barber.
The cut
After a conversation with Sam, he spent about 20 minutes or so slowly sculpting my hair with 2 different types of electric razors and a pair of scissors. I could tell he had experience by how he worked with my cow lick (it’s a pretty typical problem area for most barbers) and how well he styled my hair — all while having a conversation with me about sports and family.
The finish
After cutting my hair, Sam gave my neckline a nice straight razor cut, rubbed on some aftershave and gave me a nice warm towel on my head. To finish, he styled my hair so I’d look good leaving the shop. The only thing I really miss is no sinks/​wash basins (so no shampoo).
The price
The price was a very reasonable $ 18. Remember to tip if you liked the service (I did).
Tips:
Their website takes appointments, but they charge you can extra $ 2 for the convenience of not having to wait. They take walk-​ins as well, but you may have to wait (they are pretty busy most days).
