Looking for great Alpharetta, GA Movers? Look no further and call Big T Moving & Delivery. Our experienced team provides excellent services from local moves to storage.
We have used Big T twice. Once, our items remained on the truck(a pay service) for a couple days and then they were moved into our new residence. That was in 2012 under the old management. We were so happy with that move(although a couple items did get banged up, that can be the nature of a large move) that we just used them again. They moved all our household items into storage(and did an excellent job of packing them in a 10×20 so everything fit). They then moved everything to our new townhouse a month later(two different staircases). Everything went super smoothly with the guys moving us. Not one nick to the walls nor broken item. This would be a 5 star review but the office didn’t send a big enough truck so the guys had to make two trips. Luckily we only moved 4 miles from the storage unit. The office did waive the credit card fee though. The price is very reasonable and the guys are very strong and super respectful.

We are blue-collar workers and hiring a moving company was a special treat for us, as I’ve always just burdened family and friends with my moves because I couldn’t afford professionals. We didn’t have a lot of money left after buying a new home but we hired Big T so we could expect quality work and minimal damage. This company initially did an impressive job and we were going to recommend them highly, but it’s what happened at the end of our move that is responsible for this rating. My husband had used them before and was really impressed and wanted to use them again to move our 1,400 sqft townhome to a new house less than 10 minutes away. First, they charged $ 150 service charge for us being on the southside when they are on the northside. Ok, I understand fuel cost/travel time is a factor, so I accepted. The movers showed up and we were super impressed with their work appetite. We had originally only wanted specific things taken(furniture, heavy boxes, etc.) and we could just move the other stuff ourselves later to save time(= money) but they took everything in their path. That was ok with us too and was amusing at first, as they packed a 2-liter of Dr. Pepper that had been sitting in the floor. There were no problems until after we’d made it to the new house and they began to slow down. We eventually had to cut them off due to reaching our budget limit(@ $ 100/hour). We tipped the 3 guys $ 40 each(which, according to websites and blogs, was VERY generous and more than double the average tip). Afterward, I discovered several nicks and chunks taken out of what had been perfect furniture – and I understand that is going to happen in a move – but the fault I cannot forgive is when moving a couch into our sitting area(ironically, the last piece of furniture), they took out huge chunks of our door frame and just left it for us to find. We have a brand new construction house… ASIFWE’RENOTGOINGTONOTICETHAT??? And they had to know they did it – anything leaving an impact like that would have made a loud bang and then naturally, you’d check it and see that it left marks. Look at the photos – you know they knew they did that. If the movers had come to us and pointed it out and apologized, I would have still been p.o.‘d but appreciated their honesty and written it off as s*#t happens. But for me to discover that you just left that hoping I wouldn’t notice it? Inexcusable. And after we’d tipped them so well! What was worse was when my husband called the company they never apologized and coldly mailed a check for $ 50 without even a note or a letter inside. Just a loose check in an envelope, like child support from an angry ex. It felt very defensive and hand-washy(like, we paid for it, now leave us alone). We didn’t even want a check – we just wanted an apology and someone to be responsible and acknowledge it. Maybe send someone out to patch it. Say you’ll talk to the movers about being more careful. Instead, after no apology, we’re stuck having to repair your damage to our new house, which is exactly what we scrimped to pay professionals to avoid. This company still would have gotten a better review if two things had happened: 1. to the movers: you know you took chunks out of the door frame. Point it out honestly and apologize. 2. to the customer service reps: act like you care, apologize, and offer to fix the damage. Simple.

I moved to GA a little over a year ago and was lucky enough to find a job just 2 weeks after my move. The unlucky part? Driving from Roswell to Buckhead on 400 during rush hour every day. My boyfriend was the one who was blessed with the 15 minute commute to Norcross! Well, he and I always discussed wanting to own, but thought not for a while. When my apartment complex hiked our rent up $ 100(the cheapest option), and on top of my increasingly terrible commute, we decided it was time to look into owning. Not wanting to spend all of our money on Atlanta taxes, but still be close to the city, we settled on Sandy Springs. After moving from the northeast to the south all by ourselves, we decided we would hire movers — for the big stuff at least. *Cue Big T movers* A coworker couldn’t stop praising their work and how efficient they were with the move. She didn’t realize how much stuff she had, so they had to make two trips. They did that without complaint and worked just as hard the entire time. I’ve heard people speak of other moving companies, but really with a comment of «Well, they’re just movers…» But, I’m all about how people treat one another and I want people who will respect me and my belongings! Plus, they’re going to be in my house for hours on end, might as well get along with them! Chim, Rondell and Ed showed up on my doorstep at 8:30am ready to work. These guys were great! I don’t think I’ll be able to write enough wonderful things about them. They were fun, personable and respectful. They worked SOFAST too! My boyfriend and I were doing some last minute packing while they were moving the stuff out and we couldn’t even keep up! They were respectful of our property, used the moving pads a ton, disassembled and reassembled my furniture in record time(and without instructions… IKEAWITHOUTINSTRUCTIONSPEOPLE!), and not one thing was dented, broken, or scratched. I really wish I could have tipped them a million bucks each. They were so much fun to work with. If you’re moving, look into Big T Movers — and I hope you get these three fellas! :)

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Things are broken and damaged. Company does not stand behind their work. So disappointed, do not use this company as you will end up with broken furniture that you will have to pay to fix on your own. Attitude of owner awful.

Excellent responsiveness and communication throughout our move from Atlanta to Savannah and back(it was complicated, but they handled it). Very polite. Took care with our furniture. Highly recommend.
