After attending Western Kentucky University for his undergraduate degree in Animal Science, Dr. Bishop attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. From there he started his first job as an associate at a busy animal hospital in Sandy Springs, GA and remained an associate there for 6.5 years. Recently, he has opened his own practice in the quaint city of Alpharetta, where he has lived for the last 6 years. He is the member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, and North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.

First visit and WOW! I am impressed. Clean office and nice staff. I was seen on time. Dr. Bishop went the extra mile to make sure my dog was taken care of and I understood everything that needed to be done. This IS my new vet for my two new rescues!

Doctor Chad was great with my kitty! He is very knowledgeable and great with animals. My cat Dora and I are very comfortable with him. Kitty is healing quite nicely and I noticed results that evening. Doc Chad also took his time and answered all my questions and I didn’t have to wait when I arrived for my appointment. The secretary was also very friendly and helpful!

Dr. Bishop is the most caring vet to whom I’ve ever taken a pet. He takes time to explain everything and isn’t rushing from animal to animal. The staff is more than courteous and demonstrates caring for your animals too. I would recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone.

Great first time experience! Walked in and got seen for a first time visit within minutes, granted it did start out as an emergency as we thought our new puppy swallowed something harmful. Dr. Chad was very thorough with his exam and explanation. Very impressed and glad to have found a great vet practice we can now call home!

I have owned many Dobermans over the past 50 years and Dr. Bishop is the best Veterinarian I ever have used. He is a very loving doctor who takes as much time as he needs to diagnois and treat your animal. He also did a great job over the past six years with Bonnie and Cyle — my cats.
I would recommend Dr. Bishop to anyone who owns a house pet.

North Main Animal Hospital is a wonderful place to take your pet for veterinarian care. I really appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the one on one time with the Veterinarian. He was very thorough and took his time with my dog Maggie. She had an UTI… poor girl! She has been on the medication prescribed and is feeling much better now.
I’ll be taking my kitties next for their scheduled check up and vaccinations.

We got a new Great Dane puppy and North Main and Dr. Bishop were recommended by the local Dane meetup group as being well versed in treating Great Danes. Dr. Bishop and staff are the best around. I can’t believe how much time Dr. Bishop spends asking and answering all of our questions. He is not just a great vet, but a great therapist for the human clients too! Having a puppy means he has seen an awful lot of us lately, but Fezzik is always happy to go and I don’t mind much either. I enjoying seeing and talking to everyone and Fez loves getting treats and pats. You can just tell Dr. Bishop truly cares about us!

Dr. Bishop is an outstanding vet. I would trust him with any animal. He offers the latest technologies and skill. For example, the lab for blood tests is in the office, so the results are ready in just 20 minutes. In addition to that, he has compassion for animals and also the pet-​parents (people). He explained everything regarding health clearly and he answered all of my questions. He had good ideas for maintaining health that I had never heard of before. He also shared information I didn’t know (cats are both prey and predator). The office is cheerful and clean. The staff are upbeat and responsive. There is a ramp to the front door if you want to avoid stairs. I felt very comfortable there and also confident that my cat was receiving the very best of care. Best vet ever.

We brought our new 9 week old puppies in for our first vet visit since picking them up from the breeder. Dr Bishop is awesome from every aspect that you would want a vet to be for your pets. If you need a new vet or are looking for a 1st time vet look no further! Patient, kind, gentle and very professional!

The first time I visited n. Main animal hospital clinic I felt from the start they were going take care of my pet and make sure that I knew I was getting the best care and to maintain the pets quality of life and be able to regain the energy and livelihood my pet once had. Fantastic experience with my four cats. Dr. Bishop is great with a wonderful sense of humor but a very serious approach to veterinary medicine. He took time with both me and my cats even coming coming back to double check a result. He also made great recommendations for their care from the youngest to the oldest. If you’re a cat owner, this is the place for you and your cat.

This is the way all veterinary offices should be! Dr Bishop didn’t rush and was extremely thorough. He asked many questions so that he could better understand my dog and my concerns. He also was considerate of the cost and made sure I didn’t pay for more than necessary, which NEVER happens at a veterinary office! His staff were also very kind, outgoing and helpful. I am so glad I was referred to his office and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a personal experience with your vet!

Dr Bishop and his staff are AWESOME! We rescued a puppy from Angels Among Us Pet Rescue about 4 months ago and Dr Bishop preformed our little guys Neutering. He was so knowledgeable, caring and took time explaining to us exactly what he was going to do and how our puppy would feel after the surgery. I knew when we left to take our puppy home after his surgery that we had found not only our forever pet but our forever VET!!! So happy he is now in Alpharetta just a few miles from our house. What a great place to take your pet. Highly recommend Dr Bishop to anyone needing the best in Pet care!!!

Dr. Chad Bishop and his staff are both enthusiastic animal lovers and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Bishop takes the time to know you and your pet – he’s not in the «mass production» method of running clients through as rapidly as he can. Without exception, he and all of his staff are warm and very pleasant to deal with.
I’m not surprised, based on our dealings with Dr. Bishop, to hear that clients from his previous practice are driving quite a ways to take their pets to him. I’d drive further to see him than I have to right now, and I’m glad he is part of the Alpharetta community. Any pet owner wanting a more personal experience for their pet’s medical care should go see Dr. Bishop!

Dr. Chad Bishop is an awesome veterinarian who was beloved in the Sandy Springs area for a very long time. He’s finally opened his own animal hospital in Alpharetta and while it’s a bit far for some of his regular clients, many are finding that it’s not a terribly long drive to continue to see him.
The hospital itself is a brand new build out with digital radiography and state of the art cat condos for the feline patients. It also has in house blood work capabilities and some boarding too! I’m sure this place (which has just opened) will be bustling busy in no time!
If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by with your pet for a tour and to meet Dr. Bishop!
