We are a retail store providing exclusively natural pet foods, treats, holistic supplements, grooming products and supplies, which means we only carry products that are beneficial to your pet’s health. We offer professional pet grooming and bathing services, as well as self-​wash options in case you prefer to do the job yourself. Come in and use our tubs, towels and shampoos, no appointment necessary. When you’re finished, leave the mess for us to clean. Our ultimate goal is to promote animal wellness while building a stronger bond between animal and owner. Please come to us with your food allergy questions and let our knowledgeable staff help you find the best foods for your dogs and cats. We strongly feel it starts with EDUCATION! for the love of those with a wet nose…

Established in 2011.

Hi Crabapple! Introductions first. my name is Selene, I’m an Alpharetta resident, and a pit bull mix (don’t listen to the hype — I’m a love bug!). My family and I live less than a mile from Pit Stop For Pets, Inc. (PSFP) and we are very excited to be among the local community’s small businesses. I will be your friendly greeter for PSFP which is located in The Silos at North Farm Marketplace shopping center along with Alpine Bakery, Atlanta Fitness, and Off Broadway Dance Academy… just to name a few! Pit Stop For Pets, Inc. wants to be your go-​to source in our community for all-​natural and organic pet provisions. Our mission is to help educate our neighbors and beyond to be better pet owners by providing the resources for a healthier fur baby! We are a retail store providing exclusively natural pet foods, treats, holistic supplements, grooming products, supplies and services including self-​wash and professional grooming (if you feel you need a trim or new do!).

Not only does Pitstop for pets carry an array of food, treats, toys, grooming services, and more, they offer an unbelievable level of customer service and knowledge of their products. I’m looking forward to my future visits to my new neighborhood pet store!!!

Shop Small! I refuse to shop at the chain, Unleashed, that opened across the street, when Pit Stop is a great store run by a nice group of people. Prices are reasonable and everyone is very nice.

I love to spend my money at small private businesses but I am disappointed in the attitude of this store.
I took 2 dogs for wash… I did it myself. No real conversation with anyone. No one offered us treats or a towel, no one asked if we needed anything. The girl just sat at the desk and ate her food.
I thought no big deal, I am fine I don’t really need help anyway.
Then it was time to pay and she asked me how much my dogs weigh. I thought okay…
Anyway the price was 34 dollars for me to wash my own dogs… wow. The other girl now at the desk comments it is due to water and soap usage… hummmm. my water bill at home for 4 people is less than 100 a month and I weigh way more than my 107 lb dog.
If they have 1 customer like me a month that is approx 1000 $ really 1000 water and soap bill there is no way it cost that much.
Disappointed in this small business stealing from its Alpharetta Foo Foo customers.
I love the dog food they sell but the attitude of staff and price of wash your own dog, outrageous.

Our family recently moved to the area and we searched for a new place to purchase food for our dogs. When I walked in I got the sweetest, warmest welcome from the owner, employee and these two gorgeous dogs, behind the counter. These dogs looked so healthy, I of course asked what they were feed. A raw diet, I inquired about the raw food stocked and was given a great education, then allowed to return our standard food for this new raw diet that would put an end to my girls allergies. Their dog’s health did the selling, I asked questions and was graciously answered for every 1000 questions I had. Then comes the tour of the facility. WOW the tubs for the dogs are incredible. 1 of a kind. Come to find out it was his wife’s vision. There is some serious love here. Healthy, Happy people with healthy happy pets. I’ll keep you posted about how my dogs do on their new diet.

Everyone is extremely nice. They are very accommodating as far as merchandise and food. We use them for grooming as well. I would recommend them to any dog owner.

One week after my dogs eye was scratched the owner finally reached out to me because he saw my Unilocal review… He said he didn’t reach out to me before because he thought the situation would blow over. He wanted to me to take my review down because he didn’t like how it affected his business on Unilocal!But we were told the day all this happened to «do what we had to do» when we mentioned giving him a bad review on Unilocal.,

These guys are GREAT! I drive past Pit Stop just about every day on my lunch break, and decided to pop in one day to see what they were all about. I had been needing to change the food we give our pups, so it kinda worked out perfectly. The owner introduced himself, shook my hand, and started asking plenty of questions about what exactly I was looking for in a food. He went through every company they carry, explaining benefits, price points, and any thing else that came to mind. This alone was far beyond the service I have been offered at any other Pet store I’ve been to in my history (most of my life) as a dog owner. I didn’t buy anything that day, but he gave me samples of a few different things to try out, and I left knowing that this would be my go-​to for my dog food/​treat/​etc needs for a while to come.
I went back a week or so later to pick up the food I had narrowed down to, and the owner remembered me by name, which is a big deal these days. They’ve definitely gotten a lifetime customer out of me. I go back every time I need food, and will continue to go back as long as these guys are around. They are an excellent addition to the community, and for people who love their dogs as much as I do.
As for the reviewer who complained about the Pit Bulls that are in house most of the time, I think they are great addition to the company and both pups are absolute sweethearts. Every time I come in, they welcome me with wagging tails. Just like I hope Pit Stop for Pets is around for a long time to come, I hope these little ones hang around the counter for just as long. I will always tip my hat to people giving the (way too often) picked on Pit Bull breed a chance to shine, and these guys do that by allowing them to hang around the shop, and they even have pictures of them up on the walls. Makes me have a lot of love for sure for the owners of the shop. Good for them.

I stopped in today based on reviews I saw on Unilocal.I am adopting a 6 year old dachshund and wanted to learn more about natural foods. I talked to the owner who was beyond helpful! He gave me a couple samples to try, and once I bring the dog home and figure out which one she likes best, I will be returning. For me, the location is about 2 minutes from my house, so it couldn’t be more convenient. But regardless of that, I like the personal attention of the small business. I know this will be my go-​to for all my new pet’s needs!

Can’t say enough about this place. They were so good to my little pup. Very welcoming. The owner Bevan was so helpful and suggested a great food for my dogs sensitive stomach. The shampoo he suggested worked great for his skin allergy. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

Pit Stop For Pets has been incredible to the metro Atlanta rescue community! They sponsor so many fundraisers every year. The owners are huge dog lovers and it shows. They have even fostered several dogs for the rescue we use to volunteer for and provided them loving homes while in their care.

We love going to this store! I drive out of my way and pass 2 other local pet supply stores to get here. The dogs in the store are always well-​behaved and are kept confined behind the counter. I don’t see how anyone could find them intimidating unless you are discriminating against their breed and not even recognizing how well behaved they are. I have washed my dogs here a few times and I get food and treats here. They carry only the best products, so you know you don’t have to worry about unsafe additives in your dogs treats. All the employees are outgoing and friendly. I have a lot of friends who come here as well.

I have been to this store several times and had both of my dogs groomed here. Everyone at the store is knowledgeable and great with the dogs. Other groomers I have used in the Roswell area sometimes are not sure how to groom our little American Eskimo, but the groomer here was perfect. They have also provided names for resources for rescue groups and support. I would recommend anyone with dogs patron this store!

We LOVE Pit Stop! I have only been a few teimes now, but they have an awesome selection of treats and yummy things. My four pups are always happy to know I stop by and got them some goodies. We have a boarding facility and lots of clients in the Roswell area that we have sent to Pit Stop for grooming and everyone has been happy! We have a very particular client that takes his mini schnauzer there and just raves about the wonderful grooming he comes home with. It’s been a great place to shop and refer others. Stop by, you won’t be disappointed. :)

Pit Stop For Pets is one of my favorite independent pet stores. It is always clean, the displays are well done, the employees always offer assistance, and their selection is superb. I strive to feed my pets (dogs and a cat) the best I can give them, and Pit Stop carries healthy, natural, and wholesome products without harmful by-​products, preservatives, or additives. The employees are knowledgeable and always have been able to answer my questions, as well as provide thoughtful suggestions. The bath stalls are just adorable and ALWAYS clean. I have seen the groomers at work in the back before, and the animals never appeared distressed.
I have gone out of my way to visit Pit Stop (there are other stores, both «big box» and independent closer to me) for their customer service and selection. Another thing I love about Pit Stop is that they support animal welfare and rescue in the community. I am happy to support a store that is not only independent, but also gives back. I think that is the best of both worlds!

Took my Irish Setter and Yorkie to Pit Stop For Pets for grooming today. They went in rag tag and came out looking like divas! PSfP worked magic on them.
Such knowledgeable and pleasant staff. We’ve found our new groom home!

I can’t say enough about this store. If you say you love your pet and you live on the north side of town, you should shop here. Great selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and a store done well. Not your run-​of-​the-​mill warehouse store. A gem in an otherwise blah market.

If you are looking for a pet store/​groomer who is not all about the money, Pit Stop for Pets is the place for you. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They aren’t pushing for you to buy, buy buy!!! They truly care about the animals. Crystal is the best!!!
