Puppy’s Palace

We love getting our dogs groomed here! It’s a little bit of a hole in the wall but have no fear! The owner, Carol Ann, is clearly a dog enthusiast and always takes an interest in how each of our dogs are doing and how we would like our dogs cut.
Carol Ann can come on a bit strong at first but she really is a wonderful lady that does her job very well and wants to please her clients. She has a kind but firm hand when guiding the dogs through her grooming process so they know what kind of behavior she expects from them. She also does a series of post-​vaccination puppy cuts for puppies to introduce them to the grooming process. (These cuts were a reduced price.)
We have five dogs that we take here, including both our (adult) daughters’ Shih Tzus, a Teddybear (Shih Tzu mix), a Maltese, and a Bichon Friese (who lives with grandma). (Only the Teddybear and Maltese live at home but when everyone visits it can definitely be a zoo!) We love taking them into Carol Ann and have been her clients for some time! She always does a great job cutting and caring for our dogs while keeping costs at a fair price. Our pups always come out cute and happy at they end of the day! (and never stressed or upset.)

Strange open space with open cases of canned dog food, random blankets covering shelving and a bin with quilts in it. While I can appreciate a no nonsense attitude i found the woman running the shop too abrasive for my liking. After walking in and looking around for a couple of minutes she turns and asked «can I help you»? Hi, yes I wanted to… BAM ! She cuts me off and said «we only do grooming,» uhm o.k. that’s fine. When trying to ask another question she cut me off a second time. If she is going to be like that with mommy what is she going to be like with doggie «no thanks I’ll pass». $ 60.00 is the asking price for grooming a Cocker Spaniel here this is $ 15.00 more than what I pay in Buckhead.

We take our dogs here monthly. They are consistent on the grooming front. The dogs get the same cut every time and I’m pleased because they never come home too stressed out. However I have a HUGE question mark about this place … they charge us a different price every other time we go. There is no pricelist posted so we don’t even know why the discrepancy. When we’ve inquired we were told it was due to new owners. We’ve been twice since the new ownership though and been charged something different both times. I’m skeptical. No matter how good the service I cannot stand to feel like I’m getting jerked around.
