History
Established in 2004.
Before opening a «BBQ» Tour was undertaken to taste the BBQ traditions of various parts of the country. We sampled the sweet richness of Kansas City, complex seasoning in Memphis, the spicy kick of Texas, the savory touch of Alabama and the tanginess in Georgia and the Carolinas.
With Executive Chef Johnny we crafted a menu that would offer our guests a sampling of regional barbcue styles from across the country with our own «Smokejack» twist. The rest is in your hands.

Business Owner
Local guy who grew up in the area and lives around the corner from the restaurant location. I’ve spent my entire adult career in the food & restaurant industry. I’ve loved BBQ and Southern food all my life and always wanted to open a restaurant. When the opportunity arose, I took my chance and went for it with the result being Smokejack BBQ (named after my first son Jack). With the help of Chef Johnny Umberger, family and friends, I’ve been able to grow it from an upstart restaurant to a thriving business that I can be proud of.
My dream became a reality in Dec 2004 when Smokejack opened its doors.
