The Fuzzy Dawg provides a safe and comfortable environment devoted to helping your pet be happy attractive, and healthy. We welcome all breeds as well as senior dogs, puppies, and service dogs. Mary Sladek the owner has over tens years experience working with animals and treats every pet like her own.

History

Established in 2008.

The Fuzzy Dawg was started by Mary Sladek after 7 years grooming at other salons. Mary, the owner, had seen what she liked and disliked about other salons and was determined to open a salon that felt a little more like home and not a grooming factory. Because of this quality and not quantity is focused on. All pets are crated for there safety as well as other customers pets and all pets should be fully groomed and ready to go home in about 3 hours. Business Owner

Mary Sladek is a devoted pet groomer with over 7 years of experience in dog grooming. Mary’s #1 motto is «humanity over vanity». Mary is knowledgable about animal health issues, and her priority is comfort for your pet.

Before moving to Altlanta in 2001, Mary lived in Illinois where she studied Animal Science. Her experience with animals includes pet sitting, working at several pet stores, managing a boarding kennel, and volunteering at the Humane Society. Once in Atlanta, Mary focused on her love of dogs and took a position at a local grooming salon where she apprenticed and learned she had something special to offer the dog grooming world. Mary mastered all breeds of dog grooming as well as creative grooming to the owners preference.

Mary and her husband Scott share their home with two pugs, Phoebe and The General, their five cats, Mr. B, Stinky, Stitch, Captain, and Darwin as well as two turtles, Myrtle and Franklin.

I exclusively use this place for my dog! They are absolutely amazing and so caring. We have an Australian Shepard and he sheds A LOT. They have a «furminator» treatment specifically to help with shedding and it’s such a lifesaver. We always get compliments about how great he looks, even weeks after the groomers. The express appointment in the mornings is one of the best things you can do — worth the $ 5 extra dollars. I can’t believe how reasonable to prices are the the quality of service they provide. We recommend this place to all our friends with pets!

My puppy has never looked SO GOOD until I brought her to The Fuzzy Dawg! They were so patient, gentle and kind with our sweet pup, and took such good care of her! She was a little hesitant being dropped off (and I was nervous as it was her 1st Grooming ever), but when I picked her up, she was as happy as can be! I highly highly recommend the Fuzzy Dawg for all grooming needs!

I called them very last minute to try to get an appointment for a shed-​less groom for my German Shepherd. They were flexible in working me in for an appointment an hour later, the prices were reasonable, the staff was polite and friendly, and most importantly, my Odin was very happy, clean, and adorably fluffy after his bath! Would definitely recommend!

I took our puppy to The Fuzzy Dawg for his first haircut. Mary took time to explain what to expect and asked what we wanted for his first cut. He came home looking really cute and I am thrilled with the cut. I am so happy to find a good groomer who really cares, we will be back!

We just moved to the area & needed to find a new groomer for our two Shih-tzu’s, Bella & Abby. We met Meg in a social setting & as she welcomed us to the area, she also asked if we had dogs and would need a new groomer. We were so happy to be able to take our dogs to someone we had at least met and talked to as opposed to dropping them off to perfect strangers. Meg followed our instructions and we were extremely happy with the way our girls looked when we picked them up. We picked them up on time and I’m happy to say no more expensive than what we paid when we lived in Virginia. But, most importantly, Bella & Abby were happy and we were happy with the experience. I would recommend The Fuzzy Dawg and Meg for your future needs. We’ll certainly be back!

I had been going to the same groomer for 15 years. For some reason he just disappered… I take my Beardie in for grooming once a month. I took him to my regular place to see the «new» groomer. It was an awful experience. So I stopped in to the Fuzzy Dawg, looking for a new place for my furry boys. Mary met my Beardie, Murphy and was very sweet with him. I brought him in the next day for grooming. I can honestly say, he has never come home more relaxed and looking VERY handsome. I’m very happy I found Mary and the Fuzzy Dawg!

Heard about the Fuzzy Dog from our friend at the dog park, who highly recommended them. We have two cavalier king charles spaniels and are very leery about someone ruining/​shaving their characteristic fur. We ultimately decided to try The Fuzzy Dog and were not disappointed one bit! Our normally anxiety-​struck dog proudly trotted out post-​grooming and looked terrific! We will definitely continue to come back as needed, now knowing a groomer who won’t just shave everywhere and shampoo; they took time and precision to groom our dog.
I personally found the prices extremely reasonable, and you get what you pay for in grooming.

I’ve been bringing my 7 month old standard poodle puppy, Tucker, to The Fuzzy Dawg since he was about 12 or 13 weeks old. We had taken our last standard poodle to one of the big chain pet supply stores that also have grooming and they did an okay job but they usually kept him all day long. I didn’t like the idea of subjecting a little puppy to a whole day at the groomer. I researched and found The Fuzzy Dawg just down the street. I liked their website and the fact that they are adamant about not stressing the dog out. Not to mention they do a beautiful job with the grooming!
Tucker’s had 2 mini grooms so far and 2 full grooms. He’s been groomed by Mary, the owner, and Meg, one of the groomers. I would highly recommend either of them! They both did a great job and Tucker always comes home happy and gorgeous! They are done within 3 hours and I think that’s good for such a young dog, I think any longer would be too stressful. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been very nice and helpful. I also feel like they’re very affordable, but that’s just a plus because I’d pay more for such a great place!
I really am so happy I found The Fuzzy Dawg and I highly recommend them. They do book out about a week in advance (which means everyone else loves them too) so keep that in mind when calling for an appointment

I’ve taken my Shih Tzu’s to at least two other grooming places and have always been become disappointed. I was referred to The Fuzzy Dawg by a bunco friend abare out a year ago. I’ve been taking them there ever since. They do a fantastic job and really reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

took my toy schnauzer in for her first grooming last week — LOVE the result — she looks like a schnauzer and the staff at fuzzy dawg were nice and friendly. they promised she’d be ready in about 3 hours and she was.

I was looking for a new groomer for my dog, since the one that is close to my house was only «OK.» When the owner of the shop groomed him, he looked great. When it was someone else, he didn’t look primped and as clean-​cut has he has in the past.
I started shopping around and found this new groomer «The Fuzzy Dawg» in Alpharetta (Holcomb Bridge Rd. and Barnwell, very close to Norcross). I called to get an appointment over a weekend, and they were booked up (that’s a good sign for a new groomer, when I’m trying to make an appointment at the last minute!). I made an appointment for a day during the week the following week.
I took him in and was impressed with how clean the store was! I was greeted immediately with «Hi there, Is this Tyler?» The groomer, Stephanie, took a break from the Chow she was grooming to come over and ask me some questions about how I wanted him groomed.
I filled out my paperwork as a new client, and they took him in the back and started lathering him up. I asked if they could groom him without a bath (since he’s good about getting a bath at home, and I love the smell of my soap that I use at home). They said it’s hard to get a good clean cut if he’s not bathed, so I asked if I could bring in my own soap next time around — and they said «Absolutely!»
They said it would be about 3 hours, and they would call me when he was ready for pick up. They called me about 2 hours later, and he was ready to go! I picked him up and he looked EXCELLENT! Kudos to Stephanie for a great doggy-​haircut for Tyler!
He is a sheltie mix, and rang in at $ 47, a little more than my old groomer, but they did a nice job, so it’s worth it. Especially since it included a bath.
I will definitely be back to the Fuzzy Dawg!

Really phenomenal service — super easy to schedule grooming appointments, and the people are incredibly nice here.
As far as services go, they do everything. I scheduled a full groom for my very furry dog, which included bath, haircut, toenail trim, ear cleaning, etc (check website for more details). They quoted me a range between $ 55 – 65, and it ended up being the higher of the range.
If you’re ever in the Holcomb (Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek) area, looking for a great groomer, you must check out Fuzzy Dawg. I recently reviewed Unleashed as well (off of State Bridge Road in Alpharetta), and they’re comparable. Both give very friendly service, and both do fantastic jobs with grooming. You can’t go wrong with either.
Bear in mind, though, you can’t just book a last minute appointment — they seem to be busy and book up early, so be prepared to schedule an appointment a week in advance.
