Alpine Fence

Just wanted to give a quick «thank you» to Bob at Alpine Fence. When we were considering adding a fence to our front yard, Bob was the only person at three fence companies in town that we called who gave us his time and was very helpful.
I truly believe that how you’re treated with your first contact is indicative of how you’ll be treated throughout your dealings with a business. Because of Bob, Alpine Fence will be our choice when it’s time to add a fence.

Zero stars for customer service. Mike P came out to give an estimate. I started to explain to him what we wanted, but he just interrupted me, addressed only my husband, and every time I tried to speak, talked over me, saying something about HGTV. For the record, we wanted a simple split rail fence.
Eventually I gave up and let my husband speak to him, since he apparently cannot communicate with women. He promised to send an estimate in a day or two, which we never got (a week later). Guess they don’t need our business.

Highly professional from start to finish– used their on-​line quote request (filled out on Sunday) and rec’d a call 9am Monday morn! Got an estimate scheduled and was contacted mo less than 2 times before hand (call and email) ton confirm. Jim came out– had samples, gave us estimate on the spot, Since I was sharing with a neighbor — he gave extra copies of everything so both of us had literature. We rec’d email with estimate, were able to sign and scan get scheduled. They fit us in (one day job) the next week!
The only minor hiccup was specifications for the posts (how deep the holes were) from the estimator and the workers. They got it resolved — extra material was delivered to make it happen and all went well. This is what you want from any company!
The fence looks fantastic — Jesus and his co-​worker did an excellent job leveling the fence and working in hard rocky soil for those @#$%& posts! PLEASE GET AN ESTIMATE from these guys — all my clients and neighbors HIGHLY recommended them– and so do I!!!

We had Aline Fence come out about 6 months ago and install a fence in our front yard. Benny Oscar and Mike couldn’t have been greater. They were professional, efficient and checked in with me during the progress. We had a 4 foot vinyl fence put in, flat pickets with 3 gates. One of the gates was a little high for my liking (the gap under the fence I was worried my small pup could get out) Benny took it apart and fixed it for me, with NO complaints!!! They were amazing. Definitely would recommend them to anyone and would use them again if we needed more fencing.

Highly recommend, quote came in line with others — and Alpine, with a nice selection of vinyl fence styles, was the winner. We had to have the old wood fence removed, was done quickly and cleanly. We got privacy vinyl out back, and a more decorative style up front. Mike was great, came out twice. There had never been fencing up front, so I needed help deciding what would work best. We are very satisfied — no more termite infested, rotted wood fencing — and our dogs love being able to run around in the front yard now.

Mike P. was able to come the day after I contacted them. He gave us a great quote for three sides of our yard. All three neighbors agreed to the quote and the product– Almond Vinyl Tru Grain (Sustainable product). The day after we agreed on the project Jesus and Tom were on site and did a wonderful job of removing the old rotted fence and installing the shiny new fence. One neighbor wished to add his back fence, Mike P. said «no problem». It added one day to the job, which Jesus and Tome didn’t mind. They made sure we were satisfied on all stages of the job, making minor changes as required. I highly recommend Alpine Fence!

I can’t believe how PERFECT my little job came out. I have learned not to expect a lot and have to settle for the outcome but my new railing turned out to be everything I could have wanted. LOVE IT, and now NO maintenance, ever!

Alpine Fence is AMAZING!!! My experience was so good I wish they could do all of the improvements at my home that I am doing. I called many times asking questions before I actually set an appointment and everyone (Terry, Mike, Kurt, John, etc) was so nice and patient with me. Once I called for an actual appointment, they scheduled me for a free estimate, Ryan came out and he was so helpful because I’m indecisive. He made my vision come to life. Once I approved the design, my new fence was in a week later and I LOVE IT!!! Kudos to the workers that came out to install as well. They were so nice, respectful, clean, and worked hard. And I mean they worked hard. They are obviously very proud to work at Alpine Fence and that means something to me. Zero hassles. Great price. Awesome quality and awesome experience all around. Like I said, I wish they did kitchen and bath remodels, Windows, painting and landscaping because those items have been a hassle and I can’t Thank the entire Alpine Fence Team for the ease, product, customer service, support and amazing work they did. I’m speechless really. I wish every business functioned as Alpine Fence.

Garrett from Alpine Fence came out to give me an estimate he was on time and professional. He planned for three days but he and Patrick finished in half that time. They worked like a precision machine each man had always something to do. Alpine Fence is only a great company because of it’s employees with out these guys you would be just another fence company. Garrett and Patrick do their jobs and give it their all. Make sure you let them know job well done! As for myself great job guys.

Everything you want out of a construction company! Prompt, trustworthy, and accurate time schedule of how long the job will take. Bill called me and let me know they had an opening a week earlier than scheduled time and wanted to know if his guys could come. They showed up 5 minutes before scheduled time and finished 45 minutes earlier than expected. It was an absolute perfect transaction at the best price. I received quotes from 3 other fencing companies and bill and his team came in at the best price. VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS! I recommend alpine fence to friends and family and fellow Unilocalers. Thank you to Steve and his partner for doing a great job and John for paperwork organization.

Kurt and his team from Alpine Fence were outstanding.
At the time of the estimate, Kurt provided several creative options for the work at hand, as well as for work I was considering doing at a later time. His knowledge and suggestions gave me confidence in Alpine Fence’s experience.
I ended up getting a vinyl fence and gate installed. The installation looked great, and the quality and attention to detail was significantly better than my other 70ft section of vinyl fence I had previously got installed from a competing fence company.
I would definitely use Alpine Fence again.

I got estimates from 3 other contractors and Alpine fence gave me a fair price with quality materials that the other contractors could not offer. The installers showed up in morning and had already torn down the my old 46ft fence before I showed up back at my house to make sure nothing was in their way. I observed both of them work as a well seasoned team and they had my fence up and completed before lunch time. Thank you guys for installing my new fence and giving me some helpful tips as well. I plan on replacing my front fence and gate later this year. I gave you guys four stars because there is always room for improvement and I will also use Alpine when my fence is ready to be replaced with my neighbor just North of me. Thanks Alpine Fence! :)

Alpine did a wonderful job on the fence but afterwards we had to call them because our gates were not closing properly. I honestly believe it is a minor adjustment. I’ve called them twice in the last month. They take my name, my number and then nothing happens. I guess they got paid for the job, so they don’t feel the need to respond? I gotta believe that this is a normal part of putting up fences — now and then you have to make a follow up visit. They should plan some of this kind of work into their schedules. Don’t you think? It’s time to stand behind the work. Very disappointed.

When you look at reviews in general you wonder how a company earns a 1 star or a 5 star. I think 5 stars should mean exceeded your expectations on every level — price, value, installation, workmanship — all that. And a 1 star would be the opposite.
Alpine for me met my expectations and did a fine job. It did not exceed it BUT I got what I paid for and that is what I think you want to buy. I also got 3 quotes, shopped around talked to others before deciding on Alpine. They were reasonably priced, which means they were in the middle. The workers arrived on time (that seems to be a big deal these days), cleaned up, gave me the product I ordered, and was flexible about changes I did on the fly.
The biggest litmus test you can ask anyone is, will you use them again? For me, yes and have a project planned; and would you without hesitation recommend them to a friend (not someone on an message board with no ramifications attached to your recommendation)? — and to that I say yes again and have done so, no less then 3 times.

For those that rated them 1 star they really must have gone out of their way to crush your confidence in them and did an abysmal job… and for those that rated these folks a 5 they must of hit a grand slam for you.

As with most extensive projects, I did a TON of research and called every fence contractor in San Diego. Alpine Fence was not necessarily the cheapest, but they were very responsive, customer-​focused and extremely helpful. One of their biggest competitors (an animal’s name) made it seem like it was an effort to provide a quote and that I was bothering them by making an inquiry. Not so with Alpine Fence. From the very moment I met Mike P. (The estimator and business guy), I knew we were in excellent hands. Mike worked with us every step of the way, went out of his way to provide ideas, pictures and customer jobs that we could view. He knows what he is doing and he won’t lie just to upsell you or make an extra buck (how refreshing!). The installers did their thing and we absolutely LOVE our new vinyl fence. The workmanship and quality are superior. We went with two-​tone and, although it was slightly pricier than the wood fence we originally had in mind, we’re very happy we made the long-​term investment in something that will last and withstand the elements. I cannot recommend Mike P and the Alpine crew highly enough!
To all the other fence contractors that either didn’t respond to my initial inquiry, were rude or just thought this job wasn’t «big enough»…you can suck it. Alpine totally left you all in the dust.

Great job and great customer service. I always dread having to call any sort of contractor because experience tells me there will be unanswered phone calls, no shows and a job done incorrectly. Took a couple of weeks for an estimate but once the ball was rolling the process couldn’t have gone smoother. Jim showed up when scheduled, calls were answered when promised. Job done as promised. Brian and Sean worked in a 108 degree heat wave! Property was left neat and tidy. Fence is level and straight as an arrow. The entire team was friendly and a pleasure to work with.
They installed a three rail vinyl fence with gate. We wanted the gate automated so Jim coordinated that part of the work with Bob from San Diego Ornamental Iron. I was worried about working with two teams but, again, everyone showed up as promised and worked together to be sure Alpine met the needs of the automation and vice versa.
Fantastic job! Highly recommended!

5 Stars for Mike P and his team! I needed a new fence, and after driving around the neighborhood of North Park and South Park I called two local fence companies (based off their plaques on the fences they installed), and didn’t even receive a call back from them. Fortress Fence, thank you for either not wanting work or being too busy to pick up another job, because I called Alpine Fence (Alpine? where is that anyway, haha).
Mike P provided me a great estimate, talked my project through with me (there were bushes/​vines/​rocks involved), and was understanding when it took me another 4 months to pull the trigger (hey, life gets in the way sometimes).
If it weren’t for the brand new fence, I wouldn’t have even known they were there… they were respectful, clean, and efficient!
I have more fence in the back that will need replacing, and I’m not calling anyone but Alpine Fence.
