Hackett John D DVM

Not very compassionate… I would expect more from someone of his advanced age.

I’ve been taking my pets to Dr. Hackett since we moved to Alpine in 1998, and my parents were taking their dogs to him for years before that! We’ve always received top notch service from all of the professional and compassionate staff.
I had my parents take my old and ailing dog there when it was her time to be euthanized (I took my kids on a mini-​vacation so they wouldn’t be around when the dog went away). My parents told me the doctor and staff stood by so patiently while my mom held our little dog and said her goodbyes. They handled everything from there with great professionalism, caring, and understanding of what Boo-​Boo meant to my whole family.
I would highly recommend Dr. Hackett to anyone that wants the best possible treatment for their pets with a real hometown, country doctor feel.

Dr. John Hackett is the greatest Vet in San Diego, both for small and large animals.
I just had to put my beloved Boxer «Angel», and best friend, down. She was 11 years old. Dr. Hackett has gone above and beyond to give continued care for «Angel». There is no better Vet and friend than Dr. Hackett. He is a true lover of animals. Dr. Hackett’s staff is also wonderful and caring.
