Laurie Hallihan – State Farm Insurance Agent

In life… you know when you are growing up…
(I choose to say growing up rather than getting older) when you have a ledger portfolio thicker than the Bible, containing all your insurance policies, investments and retirement accounts… Anyways…grabbing my cane and walker… here goes…

I recently got a letter from FEMA, stating that I lived in a flood zone, and FEMA recommended I look into a flood policy and contact my home owner insurance policy; since State Farm holds my Home Owner’s Insurance Policy… they whipped me a quote in a New York Minute… based on all the news of the upcoming El Nino 2015 and California’s severe drought… I was a bit concerned… the quote was pretty reasonable, and broken down clearly so I could understand it.
But since I was in the new office, I decided to ask about some supplemental life insurance and a little bit of retirement savings account education… annuities, mutual funds, Roth IRA/​Traditional etc… (are you asleep yet?)bwahahaha…
I took lots of notes, and what I liked the most, is that I not once felt annoyance from the insurance lady I was talking to, Laurie, with all the questions I was asking (I was there for two hours, no lie)… since she wrote my Homeowners Policy a few years back, I remember she was very thorough and helpful back then… well looks like much has not changed since I got my last policy (except the new office).
In life… I think having some good people in your back pocket, that you can call on at anytime the need or questions arise goes along with having the right insurance agent, pet sitter, auto mechanic, doctor, hair stylist… and the ever so traditional tattoo artist… you get my point right?
I can honestly say… This Laurie Hallihan fits perfectly in my back pocket of a great insurance agent and financial adviser in my back pocket.

Laurie and her staff are great! When I call they know be by name and genuinly care about whatever issue I have. They call every year to go over my policies. My policy review is never a salespitch to make me increase my coverage, rather a review to make sure my house will be covered for replacement with today’s construction costs. I would totally recommend them to anyone.

friendly and extremely helpful. not pushy like the 5 other companies I called and they had the lowest price! Laurie and staff are great! It was my first time getting my own insurance and they made me feel comfortable I was making the right choice! Thank you Laurie and staff!

I am not impressed. I sent in a signed cancellation via fax twice and they kept charging the monthly amount. I called the office and no one ever answered tghe phone during business hours (not lunch hour). When I finally got through the woman was very rude and short with me.

Used them for a while, nice people, always willing to help, but state farm is a little too expensive for what you get.
