Tropical Smoothie Cafe

I love Tropical smoothie café, if I had done this review earlier with would have had a higher star level. However, they just raised thier prices & I am not happy about that. I usualy go here when on the go and want something healthy. I usually just get smoothies. My favorite is the Totally green with added in soy protein. Add-​ins cost extra. If you sign up for their txting club you do get discouts at times, but nothing regular. Their staff is very friendly and nice. They have made mistakes on my smoothies twice, forfetting the add-​in I paid extra for. But they willing fix it or give you a free smoothie next time. Hopefully they lower their prices, as they were already on the high end to begin with.

I really like the smoothies and food available here. I usually order one of the smoothies that comes with a scoop of protein to really make a complete meal. The Korean tacos were amazing!
Their mobile text loyalty program sends good coupons usually every week. I like to ask for no added sweetener to my smoothies, nice and healthy! Only 4 stars because I don’t think the regular menu price is a good value, otherwise I’d eat here more often.

Nice. First time I’ve eaten here. Their menu has lots flavorful combinations including bowls and sandwiches and smoothies. Healthy alternative to fast food. Had breakfast. The southwest wrap was very tasty. Would like to try lunch. Very clean. Hidden in the end of of a Publix shopping center

Came here for lunch today and ordered half of a Turkey Bacon Ranch sandwich as well as a Spiced Pear smoothie. I was disappointed because I was very hungry upon arrival and this meal didn’t do much to change that.
The smoothie was rather large so it wasn’t the portion that bothered me, but rather the taste, or lack thereof. The sandwich (which I’m pretty sure lacked any bacon) was average at best; it didn’t taste bad, it just offered nothing to write about. I’d be ok with the average sandwich if the smoothie lived up to its description, but it unfortunately fell flat. It’s described as ‘a flavorful blend of fresh pear, red grapes, blueberries, roasted banana, chia seeds and cinnamon”, but you’d be hard pressed to taste anything other than blueberries. It was just a bland smoothie that left me wishing I went elsewhere.

Food and smoothies are great. Not the fastest service but worth the wait. If you go in for just a smoothie, they make those quickly. The food takes a little more time. Alway tastes great. I just wish they would make a place on their website to place the order so I don’t have to wait in line.

Walked in and asked what they recommended. I went with their opinion and tried the Bahama Mama and wow, it was delicious.
Can’t find anything wrong with this place. I live for smoothies, so this review is solely for the quality of their smoothie. A plus for all the boosts you can choose from.
Clean location, kind workers, and great smoothies.

Service was slow and sullen; when I finally received the two smoothies I’d ordered and made my way to the car, I took a sip of mine (blueberry bliss) and tasted water with a hint of fruit flavor. Confused, I stirred the smoothie and tasted it again. Same, watery flavor. I looked more closely at the cup to see a layer of water floating on top. I angled my straw further down to get the actual smoothie and tasted a really bland paste. I took it back inside and while waiting for assistance I saw the person who made the smoothie packing ice chips onto already blended fruit purée to pass through the blender again. The cashier was kind enough to offer to make me another one, but I declined because the issue seemed to be with the recipe/​process itself and I didn’t think another one would solve the issue. Most, if not all of the smoothie places I’ve been to use a frozen yogurt or sorbet binder instead of ice for all of their smoothies, and this place should follow suit. My boyfriend’s smoothie seemed to be fine, but mine left a literal bad taste in my mouth.

Food and smoothies were good but I ordered to go and it was not packed to go. Several people’s orders were coming out wrong. My friends lunch didn’t come out until I was finished with my entire meal.

Almost gave a 2 stars. But 4 stars!
So happy hour starts at 3. I came in at 2:50 and ordered and was charged the normal price and I was like okay. If I get it before 3, then it’s understandable.
I was still waiting at 2:56 and so I asked Sean (the one who took my order) «if I don’t get my order by 3:00, don’t you think it’s unfair I’m charged the normal price?» He was chill enough to give me back the difference and for that, KUDOS to him.
To those who are shy (like myself) sometimes you should just ask. I mean, now I am willing to come back because of that. Good for you, Sean. You didn’t LOSE a customer.

Good food and smoothies but they took 20 minutes to make one smoothie… If you only have a 30 min break i would not suggest it unless it’s not busy.

I work in the service industry. I’ve had guests come in 15, 10, and even 2 minutes before closing in a full service restaurant. Sure, it can be disappointing when you’ve done all your side work and it’s been a long day, however, you work the closing shift, it’s bound to happen. The young man behind the counter said something inaudible when my mother and I walked in. Here is the convo word for word:
«You guys are such fail masters!» *no smile, no just kidding, no laugh*
Me: «Excuse me?»
«Fail masters. I already cleaned my station.»
Me: «Already? That’s early. Its 8:50. If it makes you feel any better we’re just getting smoothies.»
«Not really. I already cleaned that too.»
Me: «Well I appreciate you accommodating us.»
…*crickets…crickets*
And then we proceeded to order.
I truly am the person to tell friends or family to let things go when there is a mishap at a restaurant. However, this blatant *fail* at customer service was just too much. If the closing time posted was 8:50 PM we would’ve not stepped in the door, however, closing is 9pm. All he had to do was say «hello. What can I get for you?» Pretty sure he still was able to walk out the door at 8:59 after cleaning the two blenders.
Don’t think I’ll be visiting again with that attitude.

I love this place. The not meat option for chicken is fantastic.
I never had lunch here before, but now they are top of my list.

Kale smoothies. Very good. Perfect consistency.

I don’t get the smoothies, only the wraps and salads and have no complaints. The place is clean and friendly and never a wait. Music is a little loud for my taste, but otherwise I’ll keep coming back.
