Our famous Olga’s Snacker’s™ are a staple at Olga’s! These crisp wedges of seasoned Olga Bread, The Original Olga®, the Orange Cream Cooler™, and Peasant Soup are just a few of the favorites loved by three generations of Olga’s fans.

History

Established in 1970.

OLGA LOIZON, pioneer and founder of Olga’s Kitchen, opened her first restaurant in Birmingham, Michigan, in 1970. She began each day in her 10’x10’ booth in the Continental Market preparing her secret recipe bread by hand and serving The Original Olga® to lines of hungry families from all over metro Detroit.

Since then, Olga’s Kitchen has opened many restaurants, serving 19,000 pieces of Olga Bread every day. We carry on her legacy by preparing that same grilled-​to-​order, secret-​recipe bread each day and using the highest quality and freshest ingredients to bring you an experience that is uniquely Olga’s. From the classics that made us famous to exciting new Mediterranean-​inspired dishes, Olga’s Kitchen will always be a Michigan original.

I absolutely love getting the unlimited soup, salad, and snackers! I crave this place several times each month. The service is lacking though and its hard to get a refill let alone no onions or olives on your salad.

Olgas has been in the same place in the Alton square mall forever it seems! Food is still great and the Orange cream cooler is still as good as it was, especially now that the weather is getting warmer! You can’t beat their salad/​soup combos or the olgas wrap!!!

If you are used to Chicago style Greek food you are going to be disappointed. The service is extremely slow, even on a Sunday afternoon serving a party of 1. The food arrived lukewarm. The portions are about ½ what you would expect, little gyro meat, even less sauce. A dry gyro is not something I ever experienced until this place. The food is not a good value at all for the cost, or even free. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless they were trapped in the mall and desperate, waste of calories and time. The staff was polite which is the only reason it is worth 2 stars.

It’s at the mall so I was not so sure about going to Olga’s but I was very surprised to find the food was delicious. The bread was so fresh and the salad also. This is definitely gonna be a go to place for us when we want to say close to home.

Olga’s is one the very few things I CRAVE (besides Wallys, and J&b tacos), but hardly make it over to Alton or Fairview Heights to satisfy said craving… and that makes me sad… very sad…
My mom used to take me here when I was younger, and the only thing I’ve really ever ordered is the three cheese olga… my oh my… cheesey goodness at its finest.
The olga snackers are a must for an appetizer…
Their french fries are regular fries but swirly, and I love that.
The food is always hot, and of course you MUST order the Orange Cream Cooler!!!
My one complaint is that one time I had ordered from Olgas, drove all the way from downtown STL to the Fairview Heights location, get all the way there and she tells me the orange cream cooler machine is broken… um helloooo, you coulda told me that over the phone BEFORE i drove 20 min there to pick it up!!! oh well…

I LOVE OLGA’S!!! I miss it so much since moving away from the St. Louis area. Whenever I go back I make sure to stop by & fill up on an Olga burger, fries, spinach pie, & snackers. Mmmmmm! So good. This review is making me crave it.

Yup. It’s a chain restaurant. If you can get over that, it is still very good food.
Possibly my wife’s favorite restuarant. They do almost everything right.
Great gyros with very tender lamb/​beef meat, great curly fries, spinach pie is awesome, as are the cheese bites and fried pita bread.
Their lemonade is very good and the kiwi-​flavored lemonade is incredibly addicting. Free refills and you’ll be drinking until you slosh when you walk.
Service is generally good and the place is warm and inviting. Rarely busy (Alton Square doesn’t exactly «pack em in») and the prices are very fair.
Get the combo specials for a great deal. If you are a big eater, for a modest amount you can double the meat on the gyro and it will be stuffed so full you won’t be able to close it — eat it open-​faced and enjoy!

This was a frequently visited resturant as a child. I recently just went again with a friend. They were very attentive, I never had an empty glass. The food was really good and left me wanting to go back!
