Very difficult to get help in the guns and ammo department.

I had heard allot about the store and I do like to buy local when possible to support local business so I figured I would stop here to pick up the new Stradic spinning reel i had been researching. My first impression was very positive the store is nice and well stocked. I picked up a number of lures and some equipment that all seem reasonably priced. I found the reel i wanted but the problem was I could not get any service to get it out of the locked case. The guy in the area skipped over me after I had been waiting and then just disappeared. I then asked somebody I saw if I could get a reel out of the case he indicated that he was busy but would get somebody. After a total of 20 – 25 minutes waiting with no luck and looking at the single register open with 10 people in that line I put the items I picked up back and left. I think they need less people greeting there were 3 up from and more at the registers or in departments. So I think I will skip this store and just buy from Dick’s.

Field & Stream is a great place to shop for outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping enthusiasts! This Field & Stream store is located next to Target in the Sierra North Plaza. This outdoors superstore has a great selection of outdoor gear and supplies with several departments under one roof including: camping, outdoors apparel, camo gear, hunting, dog training supplies, auto accessories, electronics, guns, archery, knives, binoculars, fishing & tackle, footwear, food, snacks, souvenirs, gifts, kayaks, and more. There are several clearance of items on sale throughout the store. Name brands such as North Face, Columbia, Under Armour, Carhartt, and more are sold here. Field & Stream is also fun place to visit too with stuffed game displays(elk, bull moose, bear, deer, buffalo & others) throughout the store including the large mountain of animals in the back of the store. There is a warm fireplace with comfortable chairs at the front entrance of the store. This place is very similar to Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops, but on the smaller scale here. No aquarium or shooting gallery, and no snack bar here, but they sell food such as beef jerky, candy, fudge, dried camping food, jar goods, and spices. I shopped here recently to check out the clearance racks of clothing in the middle of the store. There were some decent styles of F&S tees and unique striped short sleeved shirts. Near the registers, they had beef jerky on sale, buy one get one half off. In all, I like this big outdoors store and it gives me another option between shopping at Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops. I am still a big fan of Cabela’s though. I also shopped at the Field & Stream store in Big Flats, NY which has an identical layout and very similar decorations and stuffed game.
