Very disappointed in this Starbucks. Early in the morning, ordered two different food items(Gingerbread and Butter Croissant), both of which they were out of. Ordered a drink(black ice tea), which was fortunately available, but bland in flavor and overall not very good.

Can I give this place a — 1 review? I ran in cause the drive thru had a line of 5. No one was in line to order :) I ordered, ran to the ladies room, then stood there while all the drive thru people were serviced. And. A friend of an employee placed an order and received her drink(who ordered way after me) before me. I asked if they forgot my drink. I was told I was up next. Wtf??? Three people working and I had to wait till the drive thru was empty and the local Starbucks princess was served. Boo hiss… I at least they didn’t eff my drink up.

This has to be one of the most beautiful Starbucks cafes I have seen, but it contains the worst, most obnoxious crew I have yet experienced. To preface, I am a former Starbucks employee, and have worked in several cafes in and around Clear Lake and League City. I know how they’re supposed to perform their job duties and how they should conduct themselves. This crew must have missed training entirely. I visited this location at least 5 times a week, for a solid three weeks. I was disappointed nearly every visit. I thought it was due to having a new crew and location, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. If anything, things became worse as they settled into their positions over the course of three weeks. Several baristas at the checkout couldn’t get my order right,(I order the same few drinks at each visit) and then got annoyed when I would correct them. These are not complicated drinks. I even had one gentleman at the register dismiss me with an exasperated«Whatever.» after I had corrected him three times after he failed to repeat my order back to me correctly. The same gentleman also got put out when I asked about the«Grounds for your Garden». I found the location of the grounds myself without his help. As I was leaving with the two bags they had available, he loudly and clearly commented to his coworkers from the register that he was saving those grounds for himself. I stopped and asked if he would like me to put them back, but he busied himself at the counter and didn’t reply. They’re free grounds for the customers. This should not be a big deal. To be fair, on a later visit that week in the afternoon, a different gentleman had no problem handing me the grounds they had collected that day and even walked the bag around the bar to me rather than passing it over the counter. During several visits, I had some time before work, so I would opt to hang out in the café and work on my laptop. I would frequently need to wear my earphones and crank up the volume, because I had no interest in hearing the constant, inane chattering of the employees. They haven’t mastered how to use their inside voices yet. They constantly played around, yelling at each other about their plans for the evening or weekend and behaving like elementary school kids on a substitute teacher day. On one occasion, I heard a few of them talking about customers once they had walked out of the café! I was still in the café at a table, along with other customers! The baristas would make snide comments about what a customer was wearing, how they looked or how they spoke. One girl even called a customer a bitch as soon as she walked out of the door. All of these comments were quite audible in the sitting areas of the café. Not professional and not cool. I even had issues at the drive thru a few times. You shouldn’t interrupt a drive thru customer in mid order with«Is that it?» Or «Is that all?» It’s just good customer service. Needless to say, I’m now the driving the extra thirty to forty minutes to visit the 528 café, which is far more crowded, but it’s a Starbucks that treats their customers with courtesy and respect. I hope to return to the Alvin café someday once their crew gets their act together.

Went in to buy coffee at the new Starbucks in Alvin. You know, the brown stuff, otherwise known as nectar of the gods. Nice store, but it’s empty of customers. Ever been in an empty Starbucks? Should have been a warning sign. Stood there five minutes in front of the register waiting to be served. They were busy. Busy entertaining themselves, that is. Something about large numbers of facial piercings must destroy the IQ. They really didn’t get the concept. You know, that thing called customers. Walked out without saying a word or buying anything. Think I’ll be back? Pigs will fly first.

Today 5÷5÷2015 is the first day they were open, they did a great job! It’s a typical Starbucks in most ways, except its larger seating area 41 seats not including outside. I love the atmosphere very clean as you would expect for a new store. Great lighting for those who like to read. No fluffy couches/chairs. If you like sitting outside they have16 seats and plenty of umbrellas. They have drive through! Bar seating is available so you can watch them work or do your own work.(only two stores in the area have bar seating) there is plenty of of power outlets and did I mention the Free Wifi! The reason I will make this my new spot for Coffee and meetings is… clean, nice, fast, comfortable, bar seating, power outlets, and outside seating. The reasons not to return… no free food no free Starbucks stocks and they stopped giving unicorns away last week. ;-) Wow!!! What a great staff! Everyone was so helpful and nice! Kayla S. is the store manager. I was really impressed with her, she was so positive, energetic and knowledgable of different kinds of brewing methods. I feel like I was talking to a coffee genus! Thanks you guys and good luck with your new store.
