Description

Specialties

The Amana Woolen Mill is Iowa’s only remaining woolen mill and has been weaving fine woolens in continuous operation since 1857. The mill helped to support communal living by selling their textiles across the country and gained a national reputation for superior quality.

Visitors to the Amana Woolen Mill, located in the village of Amana, can enjoy a self-guided historical tour and view the production of our quality American made blankets. Our salesroom offers Amana blankets in wool and cotton in sizes ranging from King to throw, specialty Civil War replica blankets, along with a selection of men’s and women’s clothing, gifts and accessories.
