Bradley Moving & Storage

My wife and I hired Bradley Moving to move us from a small townhouse in Blue Bell to a medium townhouse in King of Prussia. We chose them because my buddy hired them and liked them, and he referred them to his cousin who liked them too.
Our moving day was the same day a terrible NorEaster rain storm came through the area. It was raining in varying intensities all day, which really stunk. Bradley’s 3-​man crew arrived pretty much on time and performed well while loading the truck. They were courteous and professional. I had to leave for the new house before they were finished, but Wifey stayed behind. Once the truck was loaded and they left Blue Bell, we didn’t hear from them for an hour and a half (the drive should have been about 30 minutes even in that weather). When they arrived at the new place, I asked if they had a problem finding the place (I was a little annoyed that this was 1.5 hours later). They said they did have a little trouble which was billable time, but they also stopped for lunch. This made me a little more annoyed because I would have like them to tell us they’d be stopping for lunch before they did so. I was actually prepared to buy us all lunch once they arrived. I felt it was a little unprofessional to not give us a heads up.
While unloading the truck in the rain, the ramp was getting wetter which made it slippery. Fortunately nobody fell or got hurt and there was no damage to our possessions, but there were a couple close calls. This must have soured their attitudes because during the unloading some of the guys got lippy with verbal attitude toward me. Nothing was said to my face, but things were said close by and intentionally loud enough. One prominent example was when I was asked where one of our couches was going. When I asked them to put it on the 3^rd floor, one guy said in a raised voice something like ‘you’ve got to be kidding me, c’mon!’ I did not engage in confrontation because I felt somewhat like I was over a barrel. Much of my stuff was still in their truck and I wanted to it be carefully unloaded.
Part of me was quite sympathetic to their situation since the weather was quite nasty. But at the price per hour I was paying, which is a reasonable rate for 3 professional movers but still not cheap, I felt like I did not get service I could recommend. The only reason I did not rate this review with one star is because of the weather.
